The discerning student should save his or her money and buy food somewhere better - may I recommend Spartacus for a sandwich, or even Wetherspoon. The products are overpriced and often out of date, the staff in my experience usually rude, and the queues horrendous. I haven't even mentioned the Onion Bhaji I bought once, which was the size and toughness of an unexploded World War 1 bomb. Never again! The potato wedges are alright, though. Go there if everywhere else is closed and you're desperate for a pot noodle.

First, I get the sparkling mineral water in the bottles, lots of juices, toilet paper, pasta sauces. The beer they sell is good, too - but here the price is a lot because of high UK tax. When Lidl came to Britain my English and Welsh friends did not like it at all - but now that they see one can actually save some money - and some of the products are good or on the same level with other shops (but cheaper) they like it!!!!!

As an American I had a great time looking at different foods that we don't have in the USA, so I snapped a couple of photos of the frozen food products that made me giggle the most. I suppose that to the locals my fascination with the products would be silly, but I had a great time checking out all of their items. If you live in or around this area there are other grocery stores that are actually much larger nearby, but I still loved this little one right in town the best!

Watch out for the AA/RAC reps on the way out. Just cover your ears and run past, mumbling "no thank you". My only gripe is the lack of price reduction on items that are approaching the sellby date. For example: Brisket joint £6, reduced by 30p to £5.70. Same joint at the end of the day now reduced by another 70p down to £5. Then it's chucked out. Come on Morrisons, it costs you money to have this stuff taken away. Just reduce those items more and they will shift off the shelf.

However the customer service is the main reason I will not go here again. On more that one occasion I have found the staff to be rude and unwelcoming. On the last visit despite the sign on the shop window saying they were open later they stopped us from shopping and told us the shop was closing. We had made a special trip just to get here. Next time I know I will go to Brecon and avoid this shop. This is a shame as this will be yet another reason why I and others will not shop in LLandrindod further pushing the town into decline.
