The associate called the owner and the owner said, "No, in fact that he planned on going up in price by 25% per pallet the next week". So instead of giving a bulk price or just saying no that he could not do that he stated that he was going to raise the price by 25%. I am extremely disappointed in the unprofessionalism and the pressure tactics that were attempted to be employed especially being a long time customer for many large home improvement projects. Buyer beware as this was a shocking experience.

Anyway,Electronic Express in Oak Ridge TN had the fridge in stock and I was able to order and get it delivered within two weeks. The delivery was great although there was a piece of trim missing they were able to get it to me within a week. So overall very happy and pleasantly surprised at the inventory and delivery.

Next day I get a message saying they canceled it due to my credit card declining the charge. It's a $25k credit card with no balance. After an hour and talking to 6 people I get told "your card will not longer work at Electronic Express as it's been blacklisted" After 1 attempt? TF? So I try a new card and guess what...same thing. Both AMEX and Capitol One cards are now deemed as "unsafe" by their merchant. Their customer service department as a business is awful. It's like they're trained to be pissy and hate their jobs. Oh and except buying online there is no way to get the original $760 purchase price. I was told by Mr. Sassy Tude at the Oak Ridge store that it was "not possible for him to give the online price". Went to Home Depot. Used the same card. They price matched.

They have something for every room in your home, including trendy kitchen and bath gadgets that you didn't even know that you need to function. The store is well-organized and staff was friendly. Did I mention the prices? Home Goods is in the same family as TJ Maxx and Marshall's, so you know you're in for a sweet deal. I will also be coming here for seasonal items, as they have both decor and treats for every major holiday. I was able to find winter vase filler and a hard-to-find candy on the same visit.

Downtown Hardware lacks the wood floors and high ceilings that I remember from the hardware stores of my childhood, but it fills the bill with its inventory and its staff. Best of all, it's efficient. When I need something specific, I can walk into the store, tell the young staff what I need, and be out the door with my purchase in roughly the same time it would take me to park my car at that big-box home improvement store that often doesn't even stock whatever it is I was looking for. I was told that a new carb kit had been installed and that they were going to have to order other parts. I finally picked it up yesterday after receiving no updates. I took it to J&J Small Engine in Clinton, Tn. He fixed the problem in one day. He told me that no new parts had been installed on my generator, as I was told.
