The Peach Bellini Martini was so good...I had to control myself from ordering 3 more The Smoked Salmon & Beets was my least favourite dish...it looked pretty but it didn't sit well with my taste buds The Beef Tenderloin was so juicy and tender...it was by far the best steak we had ever had! Definitely worth a visit! Book a full body massage for sure to get a good relaxing experience. The pools and spa amenities were great. Lovely to have tea, flavored water and fruit available. Would have loved to see the coffee available all day too. Included breakfasts were good each morning. The views were amazing. Loved the bathtub. Was very confused as to why there was not a coffee machine in the room, not even a kettle. I've never stayed anywhere that did not provided coffee in the room. Asking for towels at the spa area was awkward, the staff always seemed annoyed, I understand people are using a lot of towels going from room to room, but that should be a given when you go from pool to shower to steam to room, etc, so maybe just leave them out for ppl to take. read more

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights... room wasn't cleaned and the bathtub , which I looked forward to overlooking the view, wouldn't drain and remained full for the 3 days due to the lack of cleaning. No new towels, no new sheets. Very relaxing:) If you want to disconnect from your typical day to day routine this is the place. One thing I have to mention is make sure you know how this place operates. Ask someone to give you a tour and how to use the shower features built in at the spa. Theres rainforest, fresh, ect settings on it. They also offer massages, facials, fine dining and free breakfast. The hotel is nice, staff was overall friendly (except one janitor in particular), but there's definitely room for improvement. The rooms themselves look like they were built in the 90s, dated design even though the exterior of the hotel is modern and it's only been around for 13 years. 2010 is not that long ago. Still, very clean and gorgeous views! But our room never got made up during our 2-night stay. Not sure why. The saunas are definitely the reason to come, there's plenty to do, unfortunately they don't open until 2pm, which is odd since the pool is open from 7am, but how long are you going to sit in a pool? The steam rooms in particular are wonderful, but I've heard there's been changes to the salt steam that people miss. Breakfast goes until 10am, and saunas don't open until 2pm, so there's really 4 hours to kill depending on when you eat. The pools are nice and all but that's a lot of extra time in between. Free EV charging, valet is hit or miss so I just parked my car by the chargers for the 3 days and only plugged in for the ride home. Breakfast was fine, it's included so not much you can complain about but goodness gracious THE FOOD FOR LUNCH/DINNER IS AWFUL. COFFEE IW TERRIBLE. And terribly overpriced. I don't understand why, there's plenty of food options in Vernon and even a few on Predator Ridge - eat there instead for lunch or dinner. Our 2 Caesar salads and side of calamari ordered to the room came to $60 CAD. No joke. I think they know the food sucks but "hey, where else you gonna go? Are you going to leave the resort?" Yes, yes I will. We'll probably come back since I'd really like to give this place another shot, and for the price it's worth it if you don't mind the drive depending on where you're coming from. I just really hope they extend sauna hours earlier and have better food. read more

Stayed 3 nights with mixed feelings. While there are dire warnings to book spa services at least 4-6 weeks in advance, its impossible to do do. The online booking simply doesn't work. And while I finally got a 90 min massage booking (over the phone), when I got there it had been changed to 60 mins because the "schedule couldn't accommodate it". How's this possible? Also, I asked at one point for a simple toe nail polish swap (shellac not gel!) and they refused to provide the service unless I booked the full pedicure. Noteworthy: The upholstery on the lounge chairs in both the Tea Room & Serenity Rooms is FILTHY....stained, dirty, icky. No excuse for that. Something has happened at Sparking Hills between my first visit and this second experience...The service is lacking. There are too many rules and someone (management) has lost sight of the "customer experience". While the location, steam baths, pools, rooms are beautiful, without service, Sparkling Hills simply isn't good enough. It is telling to me that there was no follow up customer survey from the resort. They likely already know they're hanging by a thread. I hope they do something about it. On a last note, we had a lovely dinner one night on the terrace...but the breakfasts were bland, and the "pastries" tasted like they came from the grocery store. First experience was so good but I won't be back until I hear of a drastic management/culture/service change. read more

There is honestly nothing I had to complain about while staying at Sparkling Hill. The valet parking was easy and stress-free. The lobby and areas within the hotel had Swarovski crystals hanging, which added to the name/brand of the hotel. I wanted to check in earlier, but I also understand that is not guaranteed because it's based on what's available and at least we were able to get in our room exactly on time. The room was beautiful and the view was even more so. Since Sparkling Hill is located high up on a hill, it was just breathtaking looking out the high windows while taking a bath. Unfortunately, due to the smog from the California and Portland fires, most of the view was foggy. We were also able to see part of the infinity pool, which was nice to gauge how busy the pool was at any given time. The infinity pool is salt water and the perfect temperature. I hate it when pools are too cold or too hot. I loved sitting in the hot tub inside and then slowly transitioning outside to the infinity pool overlooking Vernon. I didn't get a chance to swim in the indoor pool. Another huge plus to the hotel was that they encouraged walking around in your robe and slippers. It really added to the tranquil and relaxing experience. We ended up even going to the restaurant in our robe and slippers. The restaurant PeakFine was on the expensive side, but the food was delicious. I don't mind paying a premium if the food quality matches the pricing. The entire experience was and is something I'd like to repeat on a yearly basis to recharge from the daily stress of life. read more

Sparkling Hill is an OK time. The view is gorgeous, the sauna themselves are wonderful and the pool can be really awesome. What's unfortunate is the pricing as well as the customer service. The restaurants food is a 3.5 to 4 out of 10, most people go to predator Ridge Instead. For what you get, unfortunately, the pricing has continued to rise yet the offering remains the same. Having a bath with an amazing view and some sparkles is awesome but when they surpass their $250 a night, especially for local residence, most locals now avoid this place. read more

I loved Sparkling Hill Resort and Spa! They had Swarovski crystals all over the resort and in every room! We bought a hedgehog Swarovski figurine as a souvenir because they're so cute and we ate lots of Purdy's chocolate hedgehog on the way to Vernon from Vancouver. I loved the steams and saunas! I personally prefer steams more than saunas, so I would definitely recommend the Rose steam room and the Salt steam room! It smelled so good in there and so relaxing! I really enjoyed the Java coffee shop and other amenities. The only thing was that there were a few errors on the admin/staff roles. I think they are just too busy to accommodate guests and trying to answer many phone calls at the same time. Overall, loved my stay! read more

I thought that the price that I paid for the room would come with some basic features. We had a 4 day 3 night stay. We were a group of 8 ladies. There was only one person upon checkin at the front desk, the room has no bathroom privacy, there is no coffee available until 6:30 in the morning at which time you have to leave your room and go downstairs to get it. The room was very dark. The room as not cleaned, but some towels were refreshed on day 2 but not all towels were replaced. No one answers the phone there. No one! The food was good, however one night at dinner we waited 90 minutes and our order was still not on the table. When I complained to the manager, he apologized and provided a bottle of wine. The food arrived shortly after with partially cooked vegetables. The view was spectacular and the few staff they had were polite and professional at all times. The spa was ok, I had a 45 minute massage, but it was very busy and I didn't hang around. I will not go back. read more

I love this place. It looks like a perfect place for couples to go on vacation, specially ladies will love this place since it's sparkly crystals on adrenaline! It's a little pricey so planning ahead is recommended. The environment, building, rooms, pools and all things at the spa are great. My favourite spots are: Rose steam Crystal steam Igloo Herbal sauna The massage packages that we got and enjoyed were: Empress Sissi Salt scrub The breakfast buffet was included in our package. The quality was very good and there were so many things for different tastes. At the bar/coffee shop, I had an old fashioned, which was pretty good. They also have a very nice view. The food was very good quality and I found the staff very polite and helpful. The whole experience is very relaxing. There are so many things to explore and experience here. Absolutely disappointing stay. For a "luxury" type resort I was shocked at how dirty everything was from the lobby to the stairs and the rooms. The restaurant was terrible, I would have rather brought my own food. I wouldn't recommend it, for what your spending you're not getting even a fraction of it back. The staff were ok, however communication with the resort was pretty lackadaisical. Don't expect to get things taken care of in a timely matter. Having been a guest of Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon, BC, since the very beginning, I have to say... Sparkling Hill has come into its own. Spent 5 nights at sparkling during Covid, and had some concerns prior to arriving as everyone does. The Management and Staff of Sparkling HIll have implemented a whole long list of covid protocols which are impressive and ooze confidence that they really know what they are doing. However, onto the really good things that Sparkling Hill offers, as one day Covid will hopefully be behind us. The dining experience has changed and frankly is AAA in ratings. You can tell the Chef knows what he is doing to be able to present such amazing gourmet meals, and the restaurant Managers know how to manage reservations to afford a great experience for the guests. The servers at both breakfast and dinner were always friendly, efficient and attentive. It was a true pleasure to dine at Sparkling HIll. Food is an important part of my travel experience, so very thrilled that they are now at the top end of AAA. I was not disappointed even for one day out of the five I spent at Sparkling HIll, rather I would say I was IMPRESSED and appreciative especially during these covid times that they can pull off such a dining and resort experience. The Spa is of course amazing, and even though the saunas were closed due to covid, the rest of the Spa was open and well managed, well staffed and a pleasure to hang out in. I had the luxury of a massage treatment early on in my stay with Chad, and WOW... I QUICKLY booked two more visits with him for my stay. Can't say anything more than excellent. The Spa reception is always friendly and eager to please, and work their magic to get you what you want if they can. However, do book early (preferably before your arrival) so you are not disappointed as they do get booked out almost all the time in my experience. Valet Parking - Quick, fast and the young men who jockey the cars are friendly, attentive and a pleasure to deal with. Please make sure you tip them, it is always nice to see young people with such energy and upbeat attitudes and they should be acknowledged. Housekeeping was on the ball, they understand the art of turning the rooms quickly and the rooms being 100% totally clean. Because of Covid there was not daily housekeeping, however anything you wanted or needed, appeared with a smile. Again a real kudos to management and to the housekeeping staff. The gift shop, well I will be honest and transparent, I go in there each visit to Sparkling Hill, to look for that special Swarovski gift that I need. I have never been disappointed and always come away with great gifts every time. The buyer for that boutique knows how to find the right changing products, and some are exclusive to them so you know you wont find them elsewhere. So make sure you visit them while you are there, even if you don't buy its worth looking at. The last piece is how friendly everyone is, always smiling, respectful and willing to help. It is obvious that the CEO Hans-Peter from Austria and his entire management staff pick good employees, and ensure that they understand european hospitality is with a smile and with the attitude of wanting to make the guest's stay a happy one. I hope you can tell that I am very impressed with Sparkling Hill and even more so because with the challenges of Covid they continue to be on top and show what they can do. read more

What a disappointing non-experience. Say non because I cancelled my 2 nights and dinner reservations. I wanted to spend a few days in a nice resort spa to reminisce about my late wife on the date of , what would have been, our 43 anniversary. The reservation was made, however it was impossible to get a hold of the spa to book some treatments. I called numerous times and left message's and received no call back. I even called the front desk and they said they would add me to the "quick response list", why would a different list be needed. Had an extremely pleasant stay here. We've been meaning to come here and finally have had the time to. We were very surprised at how well the staff are managing with all the new COVID-19 protocols. It definitely makes their jobs alot harder but they've been doing so well. The steam rooms were still closed but the rest of the facilities are open and well operated. Give this place a go if you haven't been, it is absolutely gorgeous here. After 3 nights at this resort, we are feeling very relaxed but in need of a GOOD MEAL! The hotel rooms were nice, the views were great, the spa experience was wonderful! However, food, food, food. We flew in which was our first mistake because no cabs come up here and there's no shuttle services, so we felt trapped. We ended up walking down to Predator Ridge which was a nice 15 min walk. Luckily, they have a shuttle back up to Sparkling! The food at Predator Range Lounge was better than all of the food options at Sparkling. I think it's ridiculous that Sparkling doesn't offer a shuttle down to Predator. 1) Peak Fine: if you're going to offer one main restaurant, change your menus daily on the weekends, at least!!! Offering the same menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and room service is crazy. The room service is the same menu as Peak Fine so if you're looking for variety don't expect it. Sometimes people just want a light sandwich for lunch - not salmon or risotto. WAY overpriced. Bland food. Not worth it. 2) Barrique and Java: terrible customer service two times we went. First time, we waited 7 minutes for a drink. We were the only ones waiting at the bar while he was making someone else's drinks. Then some ladies came to settle up and decided they wanted one more drink and he helped them before us, even though we had been waiting 10 mins! So we left. Second time, waited again for about 7 mins for two hot chocolate. We were the only ones in line waiting while he made drinks for tables. When it was our turn he told us the frother was broken. Also, they only offer very few items. Mainly dessert. And then like chips and dip... and olives.. again, where are the sandwiches? Or light lunch options? No where to be found. Update: we went for a drink this morning, and the frother was magically working. Tips: Drive here if you come or rent a car2 nights max. Bring snacks with you. My boyfriend and I came here for the long weekend, and I was very excited as I have heard good reviews. For anyone looking to visit, here are the pros and cons. Pros: -crystal decor in the room/resort -Infiniti pool is gorgeous -spa is well structured as well as the saunas. Cons: -for a wellness resort they really lack non-pork alternatives. Their complimentary breakfast was very underwhelming with not a lot of options -the crystal decor throughout the resort is cheap. Example: The crystals on the glass look like some kid glued it on -peak fine restaurant was not great, pricy for the quality of food (you should drive to Vernon or Kelowna for better food) -for an isolated location they don't have extensive amenities (had to go to predator ridge to buy snacks/drinks) -beds were not comfortable, pillows were cheap So yeahhhh, I wasn't super impressed and I don't think I would come back since there are better spa resorts in Canada, however, In the summer would be better as there are more activities (wineries, golf). read more

If heaven were to exist in Canada, Sparkling Hill Resort would be the place! It was like discovering a little piece of heaven high above civilization, atop a secluded mountain top! Designed with the spirit and essence of Swarovski crystals, this palatial resort dances and sparkles both day and night with crystal bling seemingly in every corner! For example, guests are greeted under a magnificent, gorgeous and modern crystal chandelier. The desk management were superb and made the welcome feel personal and intimate. I arrived far later than expected due to a 7-hour flight delay (thanks to WestJet!), and it felt as if the team made sure that my accommodation needs were met. Unfortunately, I was assigned to a room (room 215) that I found to be less than extraordinary since it overlooked the parking lot! Similarly, there was a fabulous, window ledge bathtub that was meant to have a glorious view of the mountains, but similarly, it too had a view of the bustling parking lot where smokers also found sanctuary as it's a non-smoking hotel. I think that I even caught one nosy onlooker snapping a photo of my room with her cell phone! In my opinion, this room would be a voyeurs paradise, but not for me! On day two, I was graciously moved to a far more private and secluded room with an equally spectacular view of the mountains (room 231)! For the room prices that we paid and the promise of a 'Mountain View', this more private room more than met expectations! The restaurant food was delicious, particularly the inclusive buffet breakfast! The restaurant staff were extraordinary and went well beyond all expectations to ensure that we were well looked after. For example, upon arriving late in the evening due to flight delays, I found myself craving a nice, warm meal. I had heard from my travel companions that the chicken carbonara was out of this world, delicious! But, I arrived just minutes after the kitchen closed, late on the Sunday night. Therefore, the only food options were cheese platters and dessert! I begged and pleaded with staff team members, Nick and manager Wyatt, to please help me get a last, late order into the closed kitchen. They were both remarkable by sneaking in one last kitchen request for this weary traveler! The chicken fettuccine Carbonara is by far the best thing that I have ever eaten in Canada! Quite possibly, I would return to this resort just for this dish and the impeccable service! The coffee bar, turned wine cellar at night, was also a great haven! The staff, particularly Adam, were amazing! Daily happy hour from 4-7 is a treat! The window-side views are incredible. The abundance of gorgeous spas, meditation rooms, saunas, tea rooms, steam rooms, hot tubs and pools were out of this world, incredible! I loved the no electronics policy in the spa area, which really helped encourage silence and calm, which arguably you can't find anywhere else on this planet! I would seriously encourage everyone to stay at this palatial paradise, which undoubtedly will help bring peace and calm to our busy lives! read more

I never write bad reviews, EVER. However, I have been forced to share my experience with Sparkling Hill as a warning to others. I would give them NEGATIVE STARS if I could.... I tried booking a room online, but to no avail. After three months of online tries and no response, it took four days of power calling to get through to the front desk to make a reservation. The phone would ring tex times then hang up. Once I got through I asked if they were super busy since they were having a difficult time answering the phone. I was told they were actually slower than usual because of the fires and such. I requested a two bed queen room. They tried to set me up with their most expensive room. I requested something more economical. They decided that meant I should have a single king bed. Awkward because I'm sharing the room with my cousin. Either way, I decided to keep the room, since according to them there were no queens left. I figured something is better than nothing. Then, I tried to book appointments at their spa. I played their "game" and started booking spa appointments more than 8 weeks in advance. I called to ask the best way to book, and it was suggested I do it on line. I sent an email requesting particular appointments and waited. And waited, and waited. After two weeks, I reached out again to see if they received my email. And again, I waited. Finally, I called because we were getting close to 6 weeks out. Surprisingly (NOT), no one answered so I left a message. ELEVEN days later, someone called me back to let me know that of the 6 appointments I requested, only one was available. I was livid. I'm trying to book a girls' weekend and we can only get ONE APPOINTMENT!!! They told me the spa was fully booked. In a rage, I sent a strongly worded email back to the spa. Miraculously, the manager of the spa called me two days later to offer me another appointment, plus to additional massage appointments, which had "miraculously" opened up. I slept on it. Thought about my options. Talked to my friends and family about what I should do. As someone who lives in the Okanagan, I like to support local and have always wanted to try Sparkling Hill. Finally I talked to my cousin with whom I was going to spending time at Sparkling Hill, and asked her opinion on what to do. We both agreed that the service so far was completely unacceptable, so I called up to cancel our spa reservations, as well as our three night stay, FOUR WEEKS before our scheduled stay. The front desk asked why I was cancelling the stay, and I said that in all honesty, they service up to now had been atrocious, and that I didn't want to spend a ton of hard earned money at a place that doesn't seem to want me there. The clincher was when I was informed that I would be charged a $10 cancellation fee... I explained the difficulty I was having trying to even get a room, let alone book some spa treatments. I also said they should confer with the manager of the spa as she could corroborate my difficulties and frustrations with their establishment. I hadn't even stepped foot inside their establishment and they were making me pay!! I travel a lot for work and pleasure. It saddens me that the worst experience I got was from right here in my back yard. It is safe to say I will NEVER be booking at Sparkling Hill ever again. read more

This is long due to the SEVERAL issues ... Bottom line amazing property but complete missed execution on ALL fronts! Very disappointed Even before we got there.... I booked some spa services months in advance as well. About a week before arrival I started to receiving confirmation emails of spa treatments with different times that I originally booked, and cancelations of others. VERY CONFUSED!! I tried calling several times through the week as one treatment they changed, I wouldn't have even arrived in time for and the other one which was a couples massage wasn't even at the same time(how could that be a couples massage??). I finally did get a hold of someone after several calls, messages and voicemails. The lady that I was in contact was very nice, she was brand new and sounded like she was in over her head. She claimed that there were some "sick" calls and they were dealing with scheduling issues. I asked to speak to a manager and she stated that they were "too busy dealing with important things"... AMAZING! I finally received 1 treatment that would work and had to cancel the rest. On our day of arrival I received an email confirming the original treatment that THEY canceled on me..????? Upon arrival we get to the property from Vancouver (5.5 hrs) and there was NO valet NO bell hop or any type of greeting so I just parked right out front and checked in. We had to grab our own cart and bring in our bags. When I mentioned about the issues with the spa the hotel stated that there is NO communications from the spa to the hotel and I had to go into the spa and deal with it... Isn't this a spa retreat resort?? When I went into the spa to ask questions the girl stated that she was the only person there that knows what to do and there is no manager onsite. It was 3:30 on a Friday !! We looked for a drink and some food as our dinner reso was later. The "bar" they offer is a room downstairs and the bar snacks were VERY limited. Their fine dining restaurant felt like an airport lounge (albeit an amazing view when its not dark) and the food was very underwhelming and way overpriced. The menus and chairs were stained and old, and not a lot of wiggle room from the tasting menu. Tried to order some food from room service and the response was ... The kitchen staff has gone home and I'm really tired!!! WOW Bfast was well executed.. the pool was beautiful but not allowed any food or drinks (??) The rooms were very nice, starting to get a little dated, and needs some upkeep(lots of little things but nit picking things) no coffee or tea in rooms, some lights were out, but the view is amazing The spa was clean (a little loud) seemed like lots of room, but the sauna and steams were only open from 2-10 pm which was disappointing. Also for a "spa and health retreat" there were 0 activities/classes offered or even included for a fee (i.e. yoga, meditation, self healing, etc.) The German house (Gerni's Farmhouse) was amazing.. great staff including the bartender (Volodymyr) who was a standout ask for him by name he'll make your night!! I would recommend this place over there other dining Overall there needs to be a lot of work and training in customer service before I think about going back. The lack of the "happy hour" time for bar/cocktail service is shocking. The Spa is a total disaster!!! For the price they charge and what they market themselves as, in my mind they have completely dropped the ball in so many places. There doesn't seem to be any customer care, and just fallback on the property, which is no doubt gorgeous. Side note the owner just passed away (2021), and I am left wondering of there is something going on behind the scenes with al that. I hope they sort out the issues as I would love to come back one day, but until then I will pass and try the other beautiful spa retreats offered around BC. Amazing. We were here in December as a pre-Christmas getaway and it did not disappoint. The rooms are spectacular - a lovely soaker tub for two, overlooking the mountains and lake. Absolutely stunning. The amenities included easily fill in your time without booking additional treatments, although we did book a massage. The infinity pool, even in the middle of winter was lovely. I wanted to go to this place so bad and went for my birthday and was not impressed. As a spa owner myself, don't get me going. The furniture in the rooms looked like commercial office furniture and the bed looked like an ikea bed. Very dull beige colouring throughout the place that maybe you could get away with in an Alpine area like Whistler if it was a ski lodge but did not suite the geographical area for a spa. The view was amazing and the food portions were decent at Peak restaurant but minimal selection and I almost threw up eating my fish egg omelette. The fish odour was so strong I almost vomited. I couldn't eat it. Ordered carrot honey ginger soup and we we both sent that back as well. Now don't get me going on the spa treatments. Cobwebs on the corners. I had a body wrap where she brushed me dry and barely with a bamboo brush that I felt like a horse getting brushed. She slaps some powdered honey milk powder she mixed with water and then o took a shower in a tiny plastic insert shower that is the kind in cheap basement suites of cookie cutter homes. The treatment was not good for either of us. I then decided to try something else and booked the crystal cratum massage and she poured hot coconut oil all over my head then rubbed my head for 30 min. Not a good job and zero wow factor on the spa treatments. The rose steam bath had a slimy floor and it smelled like roses and burned pee. The salt room was room temperature with no salt. You can't meditate in any of the rooms because it's so loud and you can hear everyone talking. I could hear so many people talking outside the spa door when I was getting my treatments and then she left me on the table naked as she opened the door and a bunch of people saw my naked body. The coffee shop has zero selection and slow service. Way better spas in Whistler. I have no clue why this is world renowned. Broken crystals everywhere and even the indoor pool area reminds me of a public pool. No calming music this place is way overrated for what you get read more

Came in late May this year with my partner and really enjoyed my time here. It is a spa resort so everything was created with the goal of relaxation (and maybe sexy times? There is a mirror in front/on top of the bed, and the shower/bath tub are in the open...). The rooms are smaller than the photos portray, but for two people it is sufficient. I stayed in a room with lake views. You can't beat having a glass of wine and taking a bath with an incredible view. It feels like the world is beneath you and all is calm; your stress just melts away. Note though, that the windows are not one-way, so people outside from the pool can look up and see you taking a bath... Barrique & Java is a coffee/cocktail lounge that serves small plates as well. Not my cup of tea for dinner because I love me a big meal. Peak Fine Restaurant serves buffet breakfast (free for hotel guests) and the selections were sufficient for me. We also had dinner here and it was overpriced in my opinion for adequate food. We only came here because we didn't want to leave the resort late at night (9 pm for dinner). The staff were courteous for the most part; the cleaning staff always greeted us, but some of the front desk staff were very curt and seemingly burnt out. I would definitely come back for special occasions. One star knocked off because the food could be better and some staff could be mindful of their attitude. a very modern and nice resort perched on top if a hill! on the way up, one can see mice log cabins and other residential homes around the area, as well as a view of a huge and beautiful golf course. our room was very spacious with a crystal display and crystal like adornments which might up. very unique bathroom designs and beds were very comfty. bathtub had immaculate views of the valley and wine country...priceless in my opinion! also came with 2 bottles of free water. staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. infinity pool was huge and heated properly, so were the hot tubs and indoor pool. there is even a foot pool/bath...lol! pool opens at 7am and closes at 10am sharp! place even has a cozy library! bfast is complimentary and features a wide range of meats, vegs, oats, breads, spreads, etc... now why 4 stars from me? - bec the resort failed to mention beforehand that they were an adults oriented resort. kids are welcomed to stay and sleep - but NOT use the pools! explanation was bec the pools are located in the spa area...or to be more specific - outside the spa area!! we were informed only during check-in which came as a shock as our kids were looking forward to using the pools. another reason is location....to get to the beach/lake area...you gotta drive 20mins...and go down the hill...so its location nit that great! near pool area has a lounge/tea room with complimentary fruits , herbal teas, and flavoured water. very good place to just put your feet up and relax! cheers! read more

Ok I'm not going to make this painfully long. I was not a huge fan of this place. It was ok but it's not the best spa experience I ever had. Clearly the fact that this hotel acts as a large spa, in terms of culture and environment serves a niche market, but it could be better. It's expensive, and I don't know if it's worth it. They have various reading rooms, tea rooms, and pools where people are expected to remain quiet so everyone has a relaxing soothing environment. First off, it's hard to do and not everyone follows these rules. Do these rooms make it better than any other hotel? No, it's just nuance to sell an experience. The spa itself is not the most beautiful and best spa I've ever been too. It is in no way better than Spa Utopia (if you're from BC). It's missing all the bells and whistles and luxury you expect. After each service they don't even offer you juice let alone wine! Just a messily glass of lemon water in a paper cup. Womp womp! The rest of the hotel is beautiful because it's adorned with Swarofsky crystals...like everywhere, even chairs at the restaurant. Which let me add is not worth the money. Take a shuttle and eat at Predator Ridge! We even ordered pizza our second night. In all honesty, you're better of booking a nice hotel in Vancouver, setting up a few spa treatments at your hotel and lounging and swimming there. You need silence...stay in your room. read more

Very close to giving a 4 but it gets a 3 from me for a few reasons. I did not find the staff overly friendly whatsoever. We go to the hotel for a spa treatment before check in time and the lady at the spa was a huge snob. It's not cheap to stay here...I thought the customer service would be insane and it was average at best. Pool was great, saunas were awesome. Room service was ok. The meat and cheese tray was good value and we brought our own wine. We went to the steak house at Predator Ridge golf course for dinner. read more

Never has anything deserved 5 stars more than sparkling hill. Don't believe the bad reviews that had one off bad experiences. If you educate yourself about the operating times of everything at the resort and know what to expect, you will have the time of your life. The rooms were amazing, better than the Banff Springs. In fact better than any room we've ever stayed in around the world. The highlight though was the cold sauna. Definitely worth it for the unique experience. The regular saunas were amazing as well, with 9 different sauna and steam rooms to choose from. We tried them all twice, once in the evening and again in the morning after breakfast. The staff at every turn was super friendly and quickly responded to any concerns we had. We didn't eat at the restaurant for dinner, choosing instead to dine in our room. This resort is quite overrated. We had higher expectations for the price of the stay. PROS: - The hotel area and rooms were very clean - The views are amazing - The hotel is very quiet and thus creates a very relaxing environment - service at the cafe was good - The room service food is excellent. It comes from the same kitchen as PeakFine. Definitely recommend ordering room service instead of eating at the restaurant CONS: - The check in experience was TERRIBLE. We had arrived early at 115pm and they had informed us that the room would not be available until 4pm. Which was fine. We just went down to Predator Ridge and hung out around there. I called the hotel at 3pm (it took 4 try's until someone picked up the phone) and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. We returned back to the hotel and was informed that our room was not ready. Even though someone had given us a time. We waited until 4pm and went back a THIRD time and this time we were informed that it would not be ready for our check in time. We spoke with the manager and asked that if we could go to the pool in the meantime to wait for our rooms. This was also not possible because our bathrobes are in the dryer! And this is the reason why our room isn't ready. I REPEAT. OUR ROOM WAS NOT READY BECAUSE OUR BATHROBES ARE IN THE DRYER. Can't make this stuff up! The manager was quite empathetic and offered us free drinks at the cafe. - The pools were nice. But not the best in my opinion for the price that were paying. - We were trying to order room service and our call got cut off. Then our telephone broke. Went down to the front desk and they gave us the direct number so we could call them if we needed anything. The number she gave us was a FAX NUMBER. - Went down to the front desk and asked for 2 extra pillows. They didn't bring it to us. 2 hours later... we tried calling down to the front desk (this time it took 2 try's to reach them). - Due to COVID, the staff could not help you with your luggage. However, they can valet your car. Which did not make sense. There was an engineer that also came into our room as well. It seems like Covid was the answer to everything that didn't make sense. - The valet staff in the front told us to move our car quickly so there would be room for other guests to check in. There were about 10+ spots that were vacant and we knew that we couldn't park there for a long period of time. - It seems like the staff were over delegating and dictating. Which was very unnecessary. Overall, would I stay here again?? Probably not. There are many high end resorts that I've stayed at that have better service and better amenities. Ooo read more

Came here on their Winter Wonderland package. It was near the end of December with a screamin' rate so they were sold out - and incredibly understaffed. Dinner took hours and the staff looked exhausted. They would get 5 stars if they had the service and given what they are trying to be good service is expected. I did not have the negative experiences as the other people. I was here two weeks ago. Here's the short end of it. 1. Check-in / Check-out was a breeze. Everyone was friendly and they moved through the line quickly. 2. PeakFine: Agree that sometimes the flavours left you aching for me (see my review) but it was still a solid and very nice meal with exceptional service. 3. Our Spa Service was very nice, also very clean, and everyone was friendly. 4. And here's why I'm giving it a five. The place was f&@^#Ing impeccably clean. | have never been in a cleaner pool, especially an outdoor pool that is prone to bugs and floaters. Our room was unbelievably spotless, even the baseboards wiped down. It felt worth what we paid per night. We did the introductory spa package (haven't been here? Look into this). Our room, two nights of dinner, two days of breakfast, 20% off spa services, access to all the spas and pools, and two nights of accommodations was only $710. Yes, we spent about 500 extra dollars while there on wine with dinner, a couples massage, and tips on all the aforementioned meals (you tip on the value of dinner, people, not what you pay for it!). So all in, it was about 600 bucks per person, per night, with all our food (and wine). Not bad when you put it into perspective and understand what you're getting with all that. read more
