Ah! My first chiropractor (of four). I knew nothing going in to Dr. Sparks, so I asked a lot of questions. Where did you get your degree? How do you know that you are doing the right thing? How long have you been doing this? Yes, those kinda annoying questions that let your doctor know that you don't fully trust what he is about to do to your body. But hey, it was my first time. We're all a little hesitant the first time, right? He answered all of them affably. He's a wonderful, kind doctor that knows what he is doing. Anyways, Megan (maybe Meagan) is one of my all-time favorite front desk girls. She was friendly, learned my name, helpful, and made me want to be her friend. I always looked forward to going in just so I could receive one of her beautiful smiles and feel like we were long time friends. Pathetic, I know. On top of that, they acted like they really cared. That year I was laid off. When you frequent a chiropractor, or at least when I do, s/he learns a lot about your personal/work life. When I told Dr. Sparks that I got a new job, I received a congratulations card in the mail signed by both Dr. Sparks and Megan! It showed that they actually listened to me and cared. As for my treatment, I started progressively feeling less pain. After my final visit, I didn't need to see a chiropractor again for several months. And at that point, it was just for a "check-up". On the payment side of things, they offered a discount of half off for patients that didn't have healthcare that covered the service. Compared to the other places I have been and called, they have one of the best rates. Maybe I shouldn't divulge this information, but it is one of many reasons that I have to commend them for the amazing service. They offered me a settlement on my bill. They didn't have to do that. And don't take it that they will offer it to you, I don't want that to affect your rating of them if they don't offer it to you. I would definitely recommend them. Edit. Great service!!! I have been going there for a shoulder injury and Dr Sparks has definitely helped with my injury. I would recommend them to everyone to get in and get well!!! I have been seeing Dr Sparks for a couple of years. I have arthritis in my lower 3 disc and now in my neck as well. At times it has been unbearable. The Dr has been able to address these issues comfortably. Unless I do something out of my normal range it has been controlled! In the past I have had medications to help. I find now they are not needed I just have to follow the exercises and stay on a tune up plan. The staff is very helpful and always positive. They really make you feel welcome. read more

Not for Acupuncture: First off, let me say what is really good. The staff is really super friendly and nice including Dr. Sparks. He's probably also a really good chiropractor. The problem I came across is that I didn't go there for a chiropractor; I already have a good chiropractor. I went there for acupuncture which I made clear on the phone when I made the appointment and mentioned twice while I was in the office. But I didn't get acupuncture, I just got a chiropractic adjustment, a very short one, and was charged 3 times what my normal chiropractor charges. I was so incredibly disappointed. I took the day off work to get this done and now have to take tomorrow off as well to try somewhere else. Long story short- If you need a chiropractor, this is probably a decent choice (although Dr. Derryberry charges much less) but STAY AWAY if you need an acupuncturist. read more

I only recently had the misfortune of needing a chiropractor for the first time about 2 weeks ago, so I came here. Glad I did. I don't know what the chiropractic term is for the technique Dr. Sparks uses, but its basically "not turning you into a pretzel." The first thing you'll notice when you walk in to the office is that a smiling assistant named Megan has already extended her hand across the counter to welcome you and introduce herself. Even though it was busy, it was only minutes after I'd finished the paperwork that I was seen to, and the taking of my vitals, the X-rays and my first adjustment took no time at all, but it didn't feel rushed. The Dr. told me to come back the next day for a follow up and to talk about my X-rays and answered all the questions I asked in plain speak with a cheerful and comforting demeanor. The price was very reasonable (in my opinion, but not having been to a chiropractor before, as I said...) with X-rays being the bulk of the cost, but there were no hidden costs or anything, not that I thought there'd be... anyway. The second visit was a half an hour, tops, and just as helpful. So nice that I was glad Dr Sparks said he'd like to see me again one more time. So along with diligently performing the simple exercises he prescribed my back is now fully operational, just like Dr Sparks assured me it would be when we looked at my X-rays. If you think you could benefit from a chiropractor but are mortified by horror stories about people who went and had their vertebrains smashed or whatever then Dr. Sparks is absolutely the best place to start for you. He and his whole staff are friendly, informative, gentle, and (most importantly) effective. read more

I've been going to chiropractor's off and on for several decades with lower back problems. Dr Sparks is the first doctor to put me on a plan of improvement. Why didn't someone do this before, instead of saying, "come back when you need it! " The plan of improvement took months of slow steady adjustments on my lower back, and in the end I regained much lost flexibility; I felt strong enough to once again incorporate strength training; and along the way I regained the strength and confidence to play some terrific rounds of golf. I went to Dr. Sparks at the beginning of pregnancy to help with lower back and hip pain. He used the Webster Technique and it helped tremendously. At about 34 weeks we learned baby was Breech and they wanted her to be head down by 36 weeks. I went in three times a week, and did acupuncture twice, and baby had flipped by 36 weeks! If you are new patient with this Chiropractor be prepared to shell out $300 x-rays right from the beginning and there is no way he will see you without getting the pictures. I have been going to chiropractors for over 40 years and never had one charge me that much money. Now since I am on Medicare, they won't pay for the x-rays and they wouldn't treat me without paying the $300, so I told them I would find someone else. What a rip off, they are just in business for the money and really don't care about the patient!!!! Find someone else and save yourself a bunch of money!!! read more
