We arrived at M&M just before 7 PM. There was a crowd outside for their weekly live music event…read moreand surprisingly there were a few tables available inside. We were excited to try it since it was one of four spots recommended by the visitor center. We had originally been looking for a historical venue, but since the original building had unfortunately burned down, we decided to go and try their recommended steak special. Our party of four ordered the steak special, the country fried chicken steak, the lobster roll, and the pork sandwich. My husband and I shared the steak special which was very good, and the the lobster roll. The prices were fair overall (though we did notice some unmentioned upcharges on the bill). The lobster roll was okay although I wouldn't order again. Our friends ordered the country fried chicken steak and the pork sandwich. The pork sandwich was a big disappointment. The meat felt like processed, pressed meat, and my friend only ate half of it. The service was a deal breaker. Just as I took my last bite, an employee named Roxanne (who wasn't even our server) marched up to our table. She aggressively asked to clear our plates and pack up our food, stating that a lady in a mobility scooter needed our exact table. To be absolutely clear: we were a party of four, and this was a standard table--not a designated, accessible handicap table. When I pointed out to Roxanne that one of our companions was still eating his meal, she completely ignored it and doubled down, clearing plates and asking again to pack food. Feeling incredibly uncomfortable and rushed, my companion just gave up and stopped eating right there. Forcing paying guests to abandon their meals at a standard table of four to quickly flip it is entirely unacceptable. We were there less than one hour. The lady in the scooter moved to the bar when we left. This left such a terrible taste in our mouths that we will never return and absolutely DO NOT recommend.

Had two opportunities to eat here over Christmas and first times since the historic location next…read moredoor burnt down. History may have been lost but the service and food here was exceptional. For lunch I had the M&M Philly with fries. Forgot to document this delicious sandwich when visiting with a friend, but trust me, it was excellent. Sunday breakfast on my own. Sat at the counter like I live to do to watch the crew make the meals. Three masters of the grill were all working in sync preparing the meals. Decided on the Garbage Omelette with hashbrowns and wheat toast. The entire meals was very well prepared and had superb flavor. The coffee complimented the entire experience. The staff working to take and serve the orders were spot on and friendly. Both of my visits showed that they cared about making sure everything was in order and no one went without. Highly pleased with the owners of the M&M carrying on an old tradition of uptown Butte, and high regards to the entire staff for making the place worth visiting.
