Had two opportunities to eat here over Christmas and first times since the historic location next door burnt down. History may have been lost but the service and food here was exceptional. For lunch I had the M&M Philly with fries. Forgot to document this delicious sandwich when visiting with a friend, but trust me, it was excellent. Sunday breakfast on my own. Sat at the counter like I live to do to watch the crew make the meals. Three masters of the grill were all working in sync preparing the meals. Decided on the Garbage Omelette with hashbrowns and wheat toast. The entire meals was very well prepared and had superb flavor. The coffee complimented the entire experience. The staff working to take and serve the orders were spot on and friendly. Both of my visits showed that they cared about making sure everything was in order and no one went without. Highly pleased with the owners of the M&M carrying on an old tradition of uptown Butte, and high regards to the entire staff for making the place worth visiting. read more

When I first moved here, I was lucky enough to eat at the original M&M many times before the fire. It was beautiful, I always admired it's original mahogany bar and all the memorabilia of it's historical significance in this town. Many of the presidents ate there while they toured through the US and several A list celebrities as well. It was a beautiful space and it will forever be missed. Lucky for us, Selina, the owner opened again just next door. She even recently hung the old neon sign back up that was saved by the brave men and women of the Butte Silver Bow Fire Department during the fire. The first thing I ever had there was the Miner's Omelette which, as you can imagine, is very hearty with sirloin, onions, peppers and cheese. I also really enjoyed their country fried steak and they have excellent, classic diner style hash browns as well. Really grateful that the fire, although extremely damaging, took no lives and harmed no persons. Recently I looked into the pit of what remains of the old M&M and in the rubble, purple flowers were blooming. It was a nice little reminder or resilience and how life always finds a way. read more

Lively restaurant for breakfast, brunch, and lunch! As soon as you walk in there's a sign for you to sit yourself. We grabbed a table and staff was quick to greet us. Our waitress was wonderful and breakfast was delicious! We both tried the Western meat block jalapeno cheddar kielbasa with eggs. My husband chose hash browns and I had fruit. We also split their French toast special which was with huckleberry cream cheese and strawberries. Yummy! I splurged and enjoyed their quarter moon cold brew with pumpkin spice liqueur. This drink was well balanced and not too sweet, which I loved! We will have to come back and try lunch! read more

This place is incredible! We went there two days in a row while we were in town! First day, garbage omelette and Miner's omelette - with both gravy options on the side, for the hashbrowns - they were both delicious! Husband got a pancake - it was awesome! Our service the first day was the best, I didn't catch anyone's name - but she was super! Second day, corned beef hash and steak & eggs. Also delicious! The service the second day wasn't as good - I'm thinking she wasn't having a good day, but whatevs - the food was still amazing! The space is great, and the story of the rebuild and support from the community is really heartwarming! High recommend! We will definitely be back! Uptown Butte is pretty great! read more

Stopped here for lunch while on a road trip and we weren't disappointed! We'd give it about a 4.5/5 starts. Service was top notch from the second we walked in to the offer for to-go waters for our road trip at the end. Food was good, the fries were crispy and the chicken sandwich was very flavorful. Excellent service, really good breakfast. Pancakes are the size of the plate and really good. Omelets, hash browns and local sourced meats. And Dugg the dog, he'll help finish your food. Ask about the Dugg t-shirt. It's a bar also, tvs in all directions, but not loud or disruptive (we were only there for breakfast). We went back a second time in the week we were in Butte. read more

Good food most the time. We usually go for the steak night on Thursdays. It's a fairly small establishment, so it gets crowded fast. The last time we went the waitress didn't put our order in, and we waited 45 minutes for food. I know she didn't put the order in because there's a computer screen behind the grill where the orders are listed. When we ordered there were only four tables seated. After two groups that came in later got their food before us we check the orders on the screen. That's why I'm listing 3 stars instead of 5. The service has progressively gotten worse. Man. I love coming to this place. They really do have some great stuff on the menu, but today there was this kid named Thomas in the food prep area. He had long greasy hair and a dirty unkempt neck-beard. You can't have people like that working in your food prep area without a hat and/or a beard net. The entire time I was eating, I couldn't stop thinking about there being a hair or Thomas dander getting in peoples food. The other people working were all clean, wearing hats, shaven, hair pulled back, polite, friendly, professional. Just one guy that is not a good look and you could tell everyone else on the line was frustrated with him too. He clearly doesn't care or take any pride in his work or appearance. You can't have a guy working in food service who can't even be bothered to meet the most basic grooming and self care standards. I don't want someone that looks like a vagrant handling my food. Please have a conversation or hold this guy to some standard of safety and cleanliness. read more

I had an early dinner at the new M&M recently. I had the fried shrimp with onion rings, and rest of family had burgers, fries, veggie omelet. All the food was excellent, fried nice and crispy.
