Overall, my experience was just okay. I didn't have time to relax before my appointment because I had to fill out paperwork and by the time I got to the back, undressed into my robe, and used the restroom - they were calling my name and ready for me. Definitely recommend coming at least 20-25 minutes early if you want to relax before. My facial with Anila was sadly not relaxing. She rushed and was rough when putting products on and off my face. She rushed through each cleansing and exfoliating product. Then, after applying a mask and putting the steamer on my face - she was cleaning up the room - I couldn't hear the relaxing music, only her doing things in the room, which wasn't relaxing at all. Not a good experience. John gave a good massage. He has a great technique and definitely got out some much needed knots. The only thing he didn't do was my arms or feet, which I've always thought was included in massages?? Cons: The relaxing area isn't that big, they were out of hot water and the trash was full with cups. They have one little changing area and one restroom in the women's area. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Booked a series of 3 appointments (massage, wrap, and facial) for my birthday. Scheduling the appt was easy and I appreciated their flexibility as I had to change the date and schedule several times. I actually enjoyed this spa more over Milk and Honey. More intimate and relaxed setting. They paid a lot of attention to detail from decorating my locker and leaving a little gift for me (eye serums and a note) to constantly offering me tea and heated neck pillows in between each of my appointments in their wait room. All of the therapists were very solicitous. Everything ran on time. They let me use all Groupons for the appointments and I paid probably half or less than that for what I would have at the other spa mentioned! My skin feels so soft and I am still so relaxed! I came here because I was gifted a Groupon and I finally had the time to use it! Everything was great, massage was great. Until... at the very end as I'm walking out the masseuse came up to me and said basically he wasn't supposed to work on me he was supposed to be working on someone else and then said "when I approached you and I asked if your name is "Renae" you said yes".... Then me of course being a people pleaser, I apologized and said I thought you said melanie. Though, after I left & thought about it. He never even said a name lol AND I was the only one in the lobby area Anyway my point is, why even tell me about the mix up? Why even tell me you had the wrong client? Obviously this was a mistake on their end, I was perfectly fine not needing to know any of that information. To me it was a bit unprofessional. Because then he blamed me and said "you told me your name as Renae" like no sir.. I in fact know what my name is lol and i know damn well you didn't approach me with a name, you asked if I was ready. In my opinion if that were to happen again, letting the client know about the mix up and then blaming the client for the mix up is unprofessional. The client doesn't need to know anything. The ambiance is welcoming and warm. A perfect place to come and relax right in the heart of Cinco. I had the Brightening Oxygen Lift facial from Yasmeen. Let me tell you, this facial and Yasmeen are both wonderful. She told me each step she was doing as well as giving me the information about the product. This wasn't done in a pushy/upsell way as some spas do, but more of an informative, supporting approach. Their retail selection is wonderful with the items used in your treatment as well as some extra pampering essentials we all want and need. I decided to become a member, where once a month I can experience one of the treatments at a reduced price - along with other benefits.
