I honestly HATE to write bad reviews, but I am so sad, shocked and upset...I have to share my experience and extreme disappointment. I truly enjoyed being a customer of this location. The employees were always very professional and courteous and I always had a great an relaxing massage or facial. I truly loved it here. After being a long time and loyal customer, I decided to cancel my membership due to personal reasons. My family member was very I'll and it made it difficult to book appointments. I decided that I would cancel and then restart services later when the time was right. I first attempted to cancel at the end of my visit and was informed that I had to email the District manager and was given the email address to do so. I sent an email asking that my membership be cancelled, giving the required 30 days notice , which would have allowed me to use the remaining credits in my account. The District manager then emailed recommending that is simply "freeze" the membership and stated that after a three month freeze, I would then be able to use my credits. I then sent a follow up email agreeing to the account that freeze for three months and simply asked how I would be allowed to use my remaining credits. That's it. In my mind, the account was frozen and the auto billing would resume in three months. I didn't think about it again. The district manager apparently sent a follow up email asking that I please "confirm" the freeze. What?? Why? I already agreed! Why is further co formation even. We're when I have the email I sent asking the to please freeze! They then sent a follow up email asking that I "confirm" that which in my opinion was a tactic to again NOT do as I asked. I DID NOT SEE the follow up email. My father in law was in chemo and I had a million stresses in my mind and I considered the matter settled and done! Because I did not reply to this ridiculous additional confirmation, they then CANCELLED my account and DID NOT EVER NOTIFY me. Seriously??? They were successful in making sure I was unable to use my remaining credits! I had no idea so I did not have the opportunity to book my remaining appts! You o my have 30 days to use remaining credits , ( that were ALREADy paid at $59 dollars each) when you cancel! All of this time, I thought I was being billed! That is the o my mistake I made not to notice, but I have so many things auto billed I honestly don't even notice and again, in my mind, I was being billed this entire time!!! I called today to finally begin to book appointments and use my credits only to be told.."Oh! We NEVER froze your account so we cancelled you! You don't have any credits on your account AND by the way- YOU also lost your grandfathered rate!!! When a customer emails and asks for an action to be taken..,it should be done! It is not ethical to take action to a customers account , such as cancellation, that I did NOT agree to! The initial cancellation request was null and void once I agreed in writing to the account freeze! They also never notified me of the cancellation!! I would NEVER EVER recommend this business as it failed to communicate or confirm with me in any way! This business has my phone number! They could have EASILY called me to. Call me, text me, mail me a letter, or even EMAIL me that they were cancelling my account, , but then, I would get to use my credits! I have never experienced such a betrayal from a business that I enjoyed and am absolutely shocked and disappointed and frankly disgusted that they would do this to me. I would HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT patronize this business as they have poor communication and follow up and will do ANYTHING to try to get you from having the opportunity to use your PAID FOR MASSAGE credits!!! Absolutely horrible!!!' I can only imagine how many other people they may have done this too! I have also lost my "grandfathered" rate that they told me I could keep if I agreed to freeze. I was previously a client of Massage Envy and they were incredibly polite, professional and when so left them to go to Massage Heights, they clearly communicated, treated me with respect and did NOT do anything to keep me from using any credits I had already paid for when I left them! I hope that anyone reading this review will be warned and know that Massage Envy is by far the superior choice! I was basically robbed of my hard earned money that I had PAYED in ADVANCE for my massage credits that are now Gone! It is the principal and it makes me sick that they think they can just disregard me as if I am dirt on their shoe. Don't make the mistake I made! Choose Massage Envy over Massage Heights and get the services that you pay for! I will be heading to file against them in small claims court in the morning GLADLY paying the $80 fee! I booked a 1hr Swedish massage with medium to firm pressure. I was able to get in for a same day appointment and was serviced by Danny. I feel like I lucked up because she was kind, detailed and an excellent masseuse. Her schedule should've been booked if you ask me! I will be back to see her in the near future. Tried this location yesterday because it was closer for me. I checked in with the receptionist and she was very polite, got me all situated and checked in. Waited on my technician to show as I was very early, and she was more than prepared. The massage was very relaxing and just what I needed, I added cupping to my session last minute and even received the stones. My body was aching, especially my neck and hamstrings but Mary worked that out. After my session I felt like new and even today I feel great. I am beyond disappointed with the service I've received from this location. I have had a membership with them for over a year, almost two!! Due to Covid and a dental surgery I have quite a few credits built up. Last month I called and scheduled two appointments. One for one weekend with Illiana one for the next with Susanna. Due to the dental surgery I had recently I am unable to lay on my face and Susanna is the only person who accommodates for me and doesn't physically hurt me. When I saw Illiana I told her that I can't lay on my face and then still insisted that I do so, she didn't understand until I pulled my teeth out of my head, not only is that embarrassing, but if I tell her I can't do something, she shouldn't try to make me. We proceed with me laying on my side. I'm not sure what she did, but I was in an immense amount of pain for over a week later while I awaited my appointment with Susanna to fix my pain. Come day of my appointment I get a call that my appointment has been canceled and that there isn't another appointment available with her for another two weeks, when I've already waited two weeks for this damn appointment! That's a whole month, and another credit I've paid for and I can't even schedule a massage! What is the point if I'm not able to use the credits?! I asked to speak with a supervisor and 4 days later have yet to receive a call back. I am LIVID that after all the money I've spent here, that they can just put me off like this. Ending my membership due to poor customer service. My last massage was $99 and wasn't told it wouldn't be at the membership price of $49. Both front desk attendants Asami & Laura said they didn't book me & lady who did it no longer works there. sorry But I have to pay $99. Every location has poor service in Katy so I do NOT recommend joining. Other tip- I was told my husband could use my membership rate was later told no that's not allowed. Updated 7/4/2020: After talking to the Area Director, we were able to freeze my account free of charge until the end of 2020. I really appreciate the flexibility of the business in this weird and stressful time. Obviously the world is going through a pandemic and so we have been taking extra precaution on being safe. We considered getting a massage/facial as high risk and too close of contact so I called to see what our options were. Unfortunately, the options were to cancel or freeze our account. No refund for the months of covid or even when businesses were closed. Instead they've been charging 55 a month. Freezing is still a $10 dollar monthly fee and closing the account would require us to use all of the remaining credits within 30 days. Again, we don't feel safe going in, so those credits would be lost. The gym we were attending didn't hesitate to refund and freeze our account free of charge. I figure this would be a similar exception being it is a health risk but guess dollars mean more to them than customer service. Hope to get this resolved read more

For the most part all the therapists are great which make it hard to pick a favorite. Recently I keep on coming back for Mary. She does a wonderful job. She is knowledgeable and accommodating. I've been coming here for a few years and management has been responsive and accommodating as well. read more

I work in the spa industry & know a good from a a bad massage & the massage I got here was less than mediocre. The massage therapist I had was all over the place. She did not know how to focus on trying to get my knots out & when I told her where my worst spots were, either she wasn't listening or she must've forgotten because they got the least attention! Basically she was just lathering me with lotion & giving me a back, neck rub, & rubbing my calfs every now & then. It was very boring & I was ready for the hour to be over. My boyfriend and I went in for a couples massage that was well overdue. We both workout a lot, mostly weights, so a massage sounded perfect. I've gotten a massage a few times before but he had never had one. We both asked for light to medium but felt like it was a little more rough than it should have been. Yes, you can tell them to be lighter but sometimes you feel bad or think it "hurts so good". Anyways, it wasn't the best massage ever but you get what you pay for. Had a 1.5 hour Swedish medium to firm pressure massage. I also asked for focus on some old knots. My appt. was with John and he was great. I scheduled a day ahead and check-in was pretty fast. Nice people at the reception and quick check-out. You can tip via receipt if you don't have cash. John was my massage therapist and he was really nice, professional, and listened to my issues. He talked to me a little to understand where I get them from. He gave me a blend of medium to firm pressure and I'm guessing some deep tissue on my issue areas. He's great with what I would call, client oddities/requests and man did I go through them: 1. I asked to keep socks on because I get super cold. 2. My hand and feet were temperature of a dead body so I feel bad for the therapist. 3. A couple of times, I asked for a lighter touch and he was totally ok toning back. 4. Also, I had to cut my appt short because I had to run to the bathroom. And he was super quick to get out of room (which was great for me because I did a shotgun to bathroom). Did my first prenatal massage (Doris) here. It was nothing special but what can you expect when its so inexpensive. I didn't think so at the time but after I left that evening I had some mild discomfort in my shoulders and lower back, I think the pressure may have been a little too hard. But like I said I didn't think so during the massage only hours after was I sore. I'll keep looking for that great prenatal massage. read more

I made an appointment on this past Monday afternoon because I was in dire pain. I slept on too many pillows the night before and when I reached up for something, I pulled a muscle in my neck and upper shoulder and was in pain all day. I couldn't even turn my neck an hour later. I had to suffer at work all day but was able to get in for an 8 pm appointment. I was thoroughly satisfied with the massage I received from Susanna but I must say I was not impressed with the follow up. Maybe I'm used to different individual masseuses I've used before but I expected different from this establishment. Mind you I got out of my massage at 9 when you were closing. It was obvious who was left was ready to leave. My gripe is that NOT ONE one person picked up the phone to call me and see how I was feeling and explain the membership and see if I would be interested in continuing to come get a monthly massage. I shouldn't have to reach out to any of you to inquire about your options for membership. I work in a stressful environment and thought this was something I might need to treat myself to regularly. My first experience was a couples massage with my boyfriend and it was decent, my only complaint is that the masseuse did not massage my arms at all during that one hour full body massage. My second experience was a facial and I really enjoyed that, I can't remember which lady, but it was awesome. The only down fall is that they really encourage you to start a membership, personally I don't like being in a contract because I wouldn't be going every month. I was willing to just go when I needed without a membership only to find out it is literally double the cost, so yes a facial would be $120 (not including tip) every time. I had an appointment with Doris... I went in for a postpartum massage ( massage after child birth)but instead I was given a prenatal massage ( massage before child birth). Even though I had booked an appointment for postpartum, written on their form that I had come inn for a postpartum massage, the people sitting on the front desk had also confirmed I had come in for a postpartum massage. Still they managed to get it wrong. The massage did not solve my purpose. The people sitting at front desk should make sure that the masseuse is aware what the customer is going in for. read more

I had 1 hr massage with Melba. Massage was OK, nothing spectacular. She only did 50mins even though it's an hour.

My appointment was a 4:00, at 4:10 I was still in the waiting room. (I was 10 min early). At 4:55 my massage was done. If it only took me 5 min to discuss the type of massage and get undressed before it started that's 20 min. (Probably more like 25 min) I understand it takes some time before and after each appointment but was disappointed with the delay. The massage was good. Very professional. So many places to choose from in my area don't think I'll be back. 90$ for a massage is getting a little ridiculous. read more
