I am new to liquid biogel and did my research before booking my appointment. I had Jen and told her how nervous I was even before we started. She was totally understanding of my anxiety and it was smooth sailing. Her technique was as great as the best biogel manicures in my experience. I have been told this is the go to place in windsor. Methinks not. My shellac was poorly done, and felt very rushed. I went back for a regular manicure, and that's when the real horror unfolded! They told me my friend (S.T.) that her nails didn't need more drying (after literally 1.5 minutes). To which, she said um okay are you sure, and then reached into her bag and what do you think- THE POLISH CAME OFF! They seem annoyed with her. We were both ticked off and asked if we could dry our nails properly under the drying machine. They seemed reluctant (are you kidding me) but let us dry our nails there. Besides the fact that it was a horrible service experience, our nails, yet again, were poorly done. Spaxs people, please take your time doing people's nails. The fastest nail place is never the best. read more

I love the high quality work Olivia does. My nails are always perfect when she does them. The owner Dee does not always have a shedule out and it is hard to book appointments. She has also change nail technicians on me without notifing me. read more

Great pedicure with Katie but my mani was awful. The technician put on multiple coats followed by a gloppy top coat and I walked out with uneven polish and edges that were still rough. Worst experience ever! read more

BEWARE!!!!! Went to this place thinking it would be better service than one would get at a normal nail salon but I was very wrong. Run by a bunch of completely inept, snobby and socially stunted girls. I called earlier in the day and they insisted I made an appointment to avoid coming at a busy time. When I got there, I was told to "pick a colour"..... and that was about it. No one spoke with me and I ended up sitting there and waiting for 45 minutes!!! They didn't even look over to say how much longer it would be. I felt completely ignored. The only time they noticed me was when I was leaving! There is nothing special about the artistry that they do here. In fact, I took the same picture (of what I would have gotten done) to a girl who works out of her home (named Justyna, Extravaganza Spa) and she did an AMAZING job. Best pedicure of my life! Seriously talented. SpaXS is not worth the money AT ALL. It's hilarious that they call themselves a "nail bar". Simply having a "bar" and some "bar stools" doesn't make you that special. Any other nail salon can do the same damn thing with them (and you) sitting at a table. If you value your hard earned cash, don't spend your money here. I was going to bring my entire bridal party here, but after such treatment, I would rather die than pay them even one penny!!! read more

Dirty, nasty place. The previous client's used coffee cup sat next to me the entire time I had my nails done. Dirt and old nails on the floor. The towel on my table had stains on it. I don't think they ever clean. I asked for French and the girl seemed confused. So I got shellac which she didn't mention they charge an extra $8 for that service. I will never return. read more

Probably the worst place I've ever gone in my life for a pedicure...if I could give it zero stars I would. I went to the Tecumseh location, but couldn't find it on here. For starters, I wasn't greeted. I was told to pick a colour and "come sit here". I wasn't even asked what kind of pedicure I wanted...the girl that did my pedicure looked like she hated her life and didn't even smile once. I tried making small talk with her, to which was no avail. Very dry and negative. She did my French for me and it was so ugly and poorly done. I told her it's not what I expected and asked her to remove it and chose a simple solid colour. Even then, it wasn't even and blotchy from the sides. She didn't buff and scrub my feet good enough and didn't put any cuticle oil on for me. Here's the worst part. I went to pay, and to my surprise, she said she was going to charge me for the French she did LOL I literally laughed out loud on the inside as I knew I wouldn't ever be returning here, nor will I ever recommend this place to any one. Needless to say, I did not tip her. Please, don't waste your time or money ladies, it's a nice looking place but they have terrible nail techs and even worse customer service. read more

I used to think they are pricey but considering that I was never dissapointed how my nails look and cleanliness of the place that can be overlooked. I would never go to another place in Windsor my one recommendation is that the customer service / friendliness of the Provincial location where I stopped going I choose the Tecumseh location, especially the receptionist can be majorly improved ( who when I was late for my appointment 10 minutes she asked the nail tech if she still wants to take me right in front of me) read more

I had a terrible experience and I got toe nail fungus on my nail. When I called the place to inform them what happened they told it was not their fault and to go see my family doctor did not offer me any accommodations for this. Most family doctors want you to try and use antifungal creams because the pills are very hard on your liver. I've spent tons of money having to buy all these creams. The same thing happened to my friend and they told her the same thing. I will never go back to this place it's terrible and very unprofessional read more

Worst service I have ever had! We attended the Tecumseh location and our nail polish started chipping the day we received our manicures/pedicures. When I called the salon to speak to the owner/manager, she refused to take my call and made her poor receptionist deal with the issue. The owner's excuse was "regular nail polish chips". It does, but on the same day? No. There were also a plethora of other issues, for example I had a cut on my toe from the pedicure and my mother had sharp edges on most of her toenails. I called for three days straight and she was always "too busy with other clients" to deal with my concern. I would like to mention that the girls who performed our services were amazing and pleasant to deal with! I recommend they seek employment with a reputable salon before their personal reputations are ruined by the lack of customer service and client appreciation of Spaxs Nail Bar. I believe our situation could have been rectified if only the owner took two minutes of her time to speak with me instead of brushing off return clients with the adage, "regular nail polish chips". This place is a disgrace to Windsor/Essex County salons and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I was looking for places for a shellac mani and pedis for myself and my man. We were getting ready for our destination wedding. I tried getting into the Spax on Amy Croft, since I had great service there, but sadly they were fully booked. So I took a chance this Spax had the same standard of service. Once we arrived I sat for my pedicure which was decent...but as they we asking me questions about the mani, the staff began arguing over who was going to do the mani ...all in front of me. I thought wtf I made the appointment so it could get done! So finally the manager(I think) says to a coworker oh you have time so this girl says okay. The finished product was thick and bumpy. The kicker is it chipped the following day! I have never felt so uncomfortable and then I get substandard service and the end result looking awful...and this was for my wedding!!! I will tell everyone I know not to go there, spend your money where you will get good service and great results, Spax on Provincial rd is definitely not the place for that! read more

I never write reviews but this was the worst service I've ever received! I got shellac done and in 5 days they completely started to peel off. I could literally peel the whole thing off of each nail and it was getting stuck in my hair and everything so it was super annoying. Apparently they guarantee 1 week for shellac as I've heard from friends. So when I called in to tell them about the issue they told me they only guarantee 4 days for shellac which is completely ridiculous and a lie. They said that I would have to pay to get it fixed, no apology or anything. I chose to get shellac done because it would be more convenient since I never have time to get my nails done but it was the complete opposite. They were so rude on the phone and clearly don't care about their customers especially when they were the ones who had done a poor job. I completely regret leaving them a big tip because they do not deserve it!! I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more
