This is a location of Russo's Gourmet Catering, a catering company that does weddings and other events. The dining area is used for receptions during the weekends, but during the week it is a place to get breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've never been to one of their catered events (that I know of), but if their restaurant is any indication, I would have to imagine that it's pretty darn good. I've never had a bad meal here. I work really close to this location, so it's a really convenient place to grab a bite. They have a bit of a different set-up--you order at a counter, grab your drinks and a seat, then they serve it to you. It actually makes the process go really quickly, ideal for a work lunch. The menu is extensive and filled with wraps, sandwiches and salads. It's inexpensive and you get a lot of food for your money. For instance, a chicken wrap with two sides is under 8 bucks. And the food is good. My only complaint is last time I was there, the fries were a bit bland. They also have a nice patio area, so you can get outside in the middle of a workday--which many times is much-needed! My favorite thing about this place is the daily "freebies" you get with your order. Tuesday you get a free beverage, Wednesday a free cookie, and Friday they offer a free ice-cream sundae (they offer other things the other days as well). The guys in the office had been talking about what a great place this was for an ASHRAE meeting so I jumped on board since I had a personal connection to the professional development session topics and it was to be held at a place they told me put out great food. I'll be honest...my heart fell when I saw that this place was co-located with a Comfort Inn. The meeting room was decent but lacked a lot of the high tech stuff you see other places like twin screens and lapel mics. The luncheon exceeded my expectations. We started with a nice garden salad. Fresh and delicious with salad dressing served on the side. Fresh, hot rolls and butter came around as well. The entree was a stuffed chicken breast with herbed rice, cranberries and walnuts. It was sliced and plated beautifully and accompanied by some sauteed carrots which were sweet without having been cooked to the point of mushiness. The chicken was cooked exactly right such that it was nice and juicy. There were also some roasted seasoned potatoes that were very good when dredged through the gravy that topped the chicken. The meal finished with a really moist carrot cake with a little crunch added to the frosting. Just plain delicious! read more

For lunch seems to be more of a private reservations for your work group/ bday or retirement party (for adults in business attire). Food was good though limited. While it looks like a sit down place to order at lunch it's pretty much like Qudoba, Long John Silvers, etc look at the menu board and walk over to the register and pay a premium for the ambiance. read more

Spazio's recently took lemons and made lemonade. They used a fire as an opportunity to redesign the restaurant and the menu and recently reopened. I've tried the new Spazio's a few times now and have to say their shining star on the menu is their salads. My favorite is the Southwest Steak Fajita Salad - mixed greens topped with marinated Angus beef, guac, tomatoes, red onion, black beans, Cojita cheese, roasted corn and tortilla shreds. Topped with their lime ranch dressing, this salad explodes with flavor and is very satisfying. I'm not a huge fan of the set up. You order at the counter then scoot to another section to get your drink and silverware. You choose your own seat, display your order number and they will deliver your food to the table. I can say, though, it works nicely for the work lunch crowd because service is fast. If you work in the Westport area, this is a great place for lunch. read more

Came here a couple weeks ago for a a friend's wedding. I knew about this place, but never really visited it, until now! Spazio is attached to Comfort Inn, which is convenient if you drink and don't have a place to stay in the Westport complex. There are 3 large banquet rooms and we occupied all of them. When you walk in to foyer, you notice in front of you the Bistro. The Bistro is a wonderful area for guests to enjoy cocktails and hors doeuvres. There is a bar up against the back wall and let me tell you, they are not light on the mixed drinks at all! This area was the backdrop for pre and post wedding extravaganza and also where the dance floor is located. Off to the right is the Garden Room. The Garden Room includes a two level seating area that is surrounded by an outdoor covered patio. This room was were the wedding itself was held. Added bonus, that we later found out about, there was a bar on the covered patio! Made life so much easier when you didn't want to wait in the long lines at the bar. The reception was held in the Ballroom. The Ballroom offers a traditional formal setting with Venetian décor, carpeted seating area with an elevated formal table for the Wedding Party. Did I mention that if you stay at one of the hotels, there is a shuttle that takes you back and forth? Makes life so much easier when the wedding is open bar and then the after party heads of to Trainwreck. Mad props for this option! read more

My company had my luncheon retirement party in a banquet room there. Very nice place - had around 20 people - ordered off the menu, everyone pleased with their food. Salads were also very good. Would certainly go back for lunch. read more

I've been to Spazio's multiple times, largely for lunch presentations in their reception hall. They cater tasty dishes - usually a simple salad with a nice crouton, then a chicken or pork main dish with potatoes and vegetables, and a cheesecake dessert. The last time I went there, the pork was stuffed with a cranberry chutney with pine nuts and topped with a creamy gravy. The other thing I like is that they serve coffee, which I prefer to drink with my dessert. Overall, not bad. read more

Visited Spazio for brunch on Easter Sunday. Though there was not a huge selection/variety of items, the food was delicious. The reason for the 3 stars was not due to the food-- it was for the service. Had to remind our waiter 3 times for a drink & when our glasses were empty & plates needed to be cleared, he stood nearby , chatting with a coworker. Jokes on us-- when we realized he didn't need to worry about the quality of the service he was providing, because when it came time to pay, there was already a 21% tip added to our bill! This was computer/cash register generated- no way to remove it....And we were only a party of 4. When did tips stop being given by the customers, and instead demanded by the servers? read more

The breakfast is basic and serviceable. Fine for a complimentary breakfast. The appetizer and light meal served from 5-8 is absolutely aweful. The wonton served with the Crab Rangoon were greasy and inedible, the pot stickers were store bought and not cooked enough. I called the restaurant the next day told them they needed to retrain their cook. They offered me 10.00 in free food. Definitely declined this offer. When staying the the Comfort Inn which is connected , take the time to choose a better place to eat. Worth the drive no to eat at this poor excuse of a restaurant read more

Everything about this venue screams first class. They do it all. Brenna Spears helped me plan my perfect wedding, then she made sure it went off without a hitch. The staff there was awesome. They were polite, helpful and their service was second to none, The guests loved the food and they could not rave enough about the cake and pastries! When I say this place does it all, I mean it does it all. Besides the decision to marry my husband, this was the best decision I have made. What a great experience. Thanks Spazio!! read more

We attended an event last weekend and it was awesome! The food was excellent, and served by a friendly and helpful staff. Beautifully decorated and extremely clean. My husband and I had our wedding reception at Spazio Westport on October 18, 2014. Our experience was phenomenal. Mark Russo and Emily Otto were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Erick the chef at Spazio worked hard on preparing the food for our family style reception exactly the way we requested it. We are still receiving compliments on how lovely the garden room and bistro were set up as well as how delicious the food was. Larren and Nikki did a great job on the presentation of the set up as well as the food. Our cake was done by Russo's and it looked and tasted exceptional. I was just in St. Louis for a conference. I checked into the Comfort Inn, and after a long drive I really wanted a good steak. I asked the front desk about a good restaurant, and the staff member recommended Spazio. I was very suspicious since it was attached to the hotel--a Comfort Inn, no less. It turned out that the service was very good. The steak was delicious and done just right (medium rare). The soup and sides were excellent as well. They won me over. read more

Spazios is terrible. Their strong suit may be catering...but they should stick to that then. They are not a good compliment to a hotel. It's only a Comfort Inn they're attached to but it is very clear they have no business in that location. They offer no room service, no children's menu, and the man who waited on us....pardon me....the man who WE waited on didn't even give us so much as a nod after 7 minutes of waiting.....they had 6 tables all eating from a buffet of pizza. I WAS TRYING to give the guy a break thinking..okay...maybe he's also doing room service orders. Sadly no. They don't offer room service yet they are attached to a hotel. Oops. Must be my mistske. Still...the outstanding factor, even given that I only ordered chicken tenders (who could mess THAT up *hint* *Spazios*...) they were cooked so they were done on the inside, but near burnt on the outside. No ranch dressing was given as promised and the fries were a deep brown. The OUT STANDING factor was being ignored for 7 minutes. The woman before me experienced this too. We each told one another we would never be back. We are only travelers, yet each of us here for a week. Spazios could've been a time saver for us to eat at .....but McDonald's 1 block away is better for the friendly service. .ease on the b pocket book and LARGER selection. Dear Spazios, if you want to be a catering business. .be a catering business. ..if you want to be a drinking hole. ..bee a drinking hole. But find your niche and do it somewhere else. OK same rating even though the business manager replied saying they received many compliments from the wedding party including the bride. I never mentioned when the reception was (almost four months ago) so business manager does not care about quality or getting to the root of the problem but just saving face. I have been to many parties at Spazios and they have been awesome. The rooms are always set up beautiful and the food is wonderful.. I would not go anywhere but there for my parties. I feel like I am treated like a Queen. I can not wait until they open for lunch again. Mark Russo is the person I always talk too. We are going to have our 50th reunion there next year. My daughter and her fiance selected Spazios for their wedding reception, which was this past weekend. The venue is beautiful, not the typical vanilla box with a chandelier in the middle. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful, while Emily was unfailingly enthusiastic during our planning meetings and ensured that some family medical needs would be accommodated . With Emily 's expertise, planning was a breeze, and the staff all seemed eager to please on the big day. The food was phenomenal, we received so many compliments from our guests. At the end of the reception, the staff quickly and efficiently packed up the gifts, cake, guest book etc and made the end of the day exit so simple for us. We all left on cloud nine. I cannot say enough good things about this place or the people who took care of everything for us on such a special day. Thank you, Spazios-- you exceeded all of our expectations! read more
