If I could give negative stars, I would. This company was an absolute JOKE and they should be investigated. We hired Special Ops to move us out of our home in Aurora, store our belongings for a 3 week period and then move us into our new home in Northern Colorado. It wasn't until our move into our home that we experienced the nightmare that was Special Oops (I mean Ops). I called the day before out move to confirm that everything was on track. Leslie confirmed with me that we were scheduled for a 5/11 delivery with a 3pm-5pm window. She mentioned that they would begin loading their truck with our belongings at 8am and then be on their way. Again, she confirmed all dates and times. On 5/11 (our scheduled moved date) at 4:30pm I had not heard from anyone. I attempted to call. No answer. I tried multiple times with no answer. I was hoping to get an ETA and give more specific directions into the development as our home is not searchable on GPS due to it being new construction. I finally got in touch with "dispatch" around 5pm. He told me when he left the warehouse a couple of hours prior they were still loading my stuff and that "Mike the warehouse manager" would call me in about 15 minutes and if I didn't hear from him, call back. 30 minutes or so later I still hadn't heard from him so I called back. No answer. Mike finally called me and was rather flippant and snarky. He said they didn't start loading the truck until 11am. When I questioned why as Leslie had informed me the loading would begin at 8am he said "well it was close". Um, how is a 3 hour gap considered "close"?! He then became defensive and implied it was our fault because we "have a lot of stuff". If I'm not mistaken, you KNEW how much stuff I had well ahead of time. After all, you DID move it into your pods???? He then said they would be there at 8pm and "not to blow up his phone". 8pm rolls around and still no sign of them. No phone calls, texts, no movers. I try and call. No response. I try texting. Nothing back. He finally responds around 8:30pm to tell me they just finished loading the last pod and that he would call me in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later, nothing. No call, no text, radio silence. We try to call. No answer. We had to call repeatedly (16 times to be exact) to get him to answer the phone. While I do understand there are safety protocols in place while they guys are on lifts making them unable to answer phones, this was completely unacceptably. We received absolutely no communication from these guys on delays, status. We felt like we were being extorted with our own belongings. When Mike finally answered the phone he began cussing out my husband calling him a "pussy ass faggot" and asking him if he wanted to come down to the warehouse to "take care of things". He also threatened to show up the next day (implying there would be some sort of physical altercation). He was yelling at us for calling him over and over. Unfortunately, that was the only way we could get a response out of these people. It was like they were holding our items hostage. We finally got out of him that they would be at our home at 9am the next day. On 5/12 at 9am there was no sight of the movers (surprise). I ended up texting Mike and apologizing for the night before. I felt completely ridiculous for doing so as I am the one who should receive an apology but at this point I was willing to do/say anything to get our stuff! I also asked for their ETA. No response. It wasn't until my husband sent him a text stating that if we didn't hear back from them, we would have to get law enforcement involved that I heard back. Mike thanked me for apologizing saying that it was a long night (he never apologized to me or acknowledged that he was out of line) and said the movers were fueling and in route. At 11:30am they finally show up. When they opened the truck, it looked as though our belongings were just tossed and crammed in there. It was a mess. There was water dripping from the ceiling of the truck, a busted door that was practically rotting. It's a wonder our stuff didn't fall out on the highway on their way up! Boxes marked FRAGILE were crushed, lamps were bent, electrical cords were severed. However, that's minimal to what else we found- They broke all 3 of our TV's. One of them has evidence of water damage and a drop. They broke an antique clock from the late 1800's. Glass completely shattered out of it and the wood broken on the back. All of the pieces on this clock were original (including the glass). This is irreplaceable. I have a 30 year old rocking horse that my grandfather made that they broke the foot off of. We are not sure if our items were broken out of retaliation or they just really didn't give a shit about our stuff. Either way, this entire situation was completely unacceptable and unprofessional! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! THEY WILL LIE AND DESTROY YOUR STUFF!

Moving is a stressful time, when hiring a moving company, you expect that they arrive on time, move everything without damages for if there are issues fully exceed in the experience. I found Special Ops Moving lacking in all these areas. From being 3 hours late, to lying on the whereabouts of the crew, and on damage, while mostly minor it takes more effort than dealing with an insurance company to get any positive response. When Mister Edwards emailed to 'address' my concerns I thought I was reading a canned email spam, not a fourth right apology and drive to address the company's handling of my move. I suggest any on needing professional movers, select another company with a better view towards customer experience.

Two months ago we moved from Denver to outside of Castle Rock. Two huge trucks, five guys and an all day challenge. I was given a quote and they beat it. The quote was substantially lower than other movers. I am thrilled with my choice. I would HIGHLY recommend them and having completed unpacked can tell you not one thing was broken and not one thing is missing or even misplaced. I was given their name by Realtor and she was unsure about them. It was a risk I am glad I took. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. I would use them again and believe out of the 5 moves I made in Colorado they were the most organized, professional and fun. They made a stressful day go quick!

Our experience with Special Op started out ok. 3 young men came on time and loaded their truck pretty quick. They assured us all of our stuff would fit into one truck, it did not. We had to hurry out and rent an extra truck through uhaul. That is not why I gave them one star though. It was the next day when they did not arrive on time and different men (only 2 this time) showed up extremely late that things started to fall apart. They said the young men from yesterday could not be located, in fact that is why they were late. They were driving around Denver trying to Locate these guys and the keys to the van. The 2 new guys seemed apologetic but we started to realize that several of our furniture pieces were damaged. There has been sparse communication and no resolution yet. Apparently they pay for damaged items per pound?! We unfortunately told friends who we used after rate shopping and they used special ops as well. Their experience has not been any better than ours and they have an unresolved claim for damages furniture as well. read more

All of these bad reviews are TRUE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The moving crew that showed up to move me we're clearly not employed by Special Ops as they didn't represent any company branding as shown on their website. I asked for a crew of 3 which was confirmed multiple times, on the day of the move, 2 of the three showed up. When I asked where the third was I was told I didn't need a third person as he would "just sit in the van". Kelly told me I would have 3 movers. At no point was I told that the third mover would be sitting in a van getting paid. It gets worse!!!! They asked to take a break after being there for an hour!!! I was told that there would be no additional fees. Contrary to being told this I was then charged a 12% ($190.09) Fuel charge along with the $99.00 travel fee which I was told about. They showed up at 11am 1 hour after the 8am to 10am window I was given . They complained about having to move items up two flights of stairs. They missed several items that should have been moved and boxes we're not placed where directed or left in the garage when they should have been elsewhere in the house. These boxes we're clearly marked as to what room they should end up in. It took them over 6 hours to move my stuff, having three people would have taken a lot less time. I will never recommend this company RUN AWAY!!!!FAST!!! read more

They let my dog get out. All they had to do was shut the front door when moving her from bedroom to bedroom. They didn't even look for her, just went back to moving my things. She was killed by a car the next day. She was two years old and the light of my life. Literally, hiring this company was the worst decision I've made in my life. Not that I cared at this point, but they also damaged my dining room table and there was missing pieces to both beds. Josh and his helper both looked extremely young and unprofessional (they were dressed like high school thugs). They arrived 1-2 hours earlier than the window, and then lied about it later (why, I'm not sure). Furthermore, I was assured by the receptionist that they would be there toward the end of the window... read more

I called Special Ops to get a quote on a difficult basement installation of a gun safe. When I gave them a call it appeared that my call was answered by someone in a call service so it's possible that they contract out for their initial calls. I was asked to leave a message and that someone would call me back soon. Jason from Special Ops called and I spent about 20-30 minutes gathering all the needed information to determine if my move was possible including weights and dimensions of safe and entry points into the home. I was quoted a very reasonable price of $300 and told that there would be possible small additional charges if they needed to do special things like build platforms at the top or bottom of my staircase. Jason even responded by text to some other questions I had when I decided on a different safe model than we had originally discussed moving. I booked them for the safe move and thought we were good to go. Fast forward to the day before my appointment. I get a call from Britney who told me she is the dispatcher. She knew they were delivering and putting in a safe but was completely unaware of any of the installation details that I had discussed with Jason. She wanted all of that information again when I was in the middle of my work day. When I indicated I had already provided all of this information she began to get annoyed and asked me if I wanted to cancel the installation... I asked her if she could contact Jason to get the details and she kept insisting I just go over everything with her again. I tried to contact Jason but did not get any follow-up to my text queries so I ended up calling Britney back and canceling. She didn't try to save my business at all and seemed relieved that I was canceling. The cherry on top of the crap sundae was that when I asked her what she had as the price quote on the job she told me $400, so much for that attractive price I was quoted originally. I cancelled the job and used a different company (Lightspeed) who was more expensive but were very competent and on top of things and I was not left with any doubt that my job would be handled very well. Special ops might be the bees knees at moving things but the management and logistical angle there is severely lacking and left me with a total lack of confidence in them. Their dispatch coordinator was not very polite and acted like I was annoying her by asking questions about two or three guys moving an 1100 lb object into my tight basement entry. Final note.... I had asked Jason for a copy of their insurance as after years of experience with contractors in our home my wife and I require this for any large jobs (I think moving an 1100 pound safe qualifies as "big" in the risk department). I was told I would get this by email but never did. read more

Do not use. This was my second time using them and will be my last. The first time the were hard working and knowledgeable and careful with my furniture. This time they were lazy stoners who jacked up my couch. Hire someone professional because these people aren't it read more

I hired this moving company to move a gun safe, motorcycles, toolboxes and other items. They stated that they would call me a few times the week before and make sure everything was good to go. They were supposed to be there on Saturday at 9am, on Wednesday a lady called and stated that we were set between 3-4pm. I told her we were moving things from Greeley to Denver and they were supposed to be there at 9. I also told her that the gun safe was lighter than we thought so we would not need that moved but had added a few boxes to make up the cost. She stated that she would have to call me back and they blew me off. I had to scramble and get a uhaul and help moving the items. Totally unprofessional company, I would not trust them to show up, hire someone else! read more

If I could give these clowns a negative star I would in a heartbeat. This company sucks. They no showed on my moving date and they left us hanging all day long on a make up day when they told us another crew would come, then they no showed again. The manager and dispatcher are stupid and full of lies. Don't waste your time or money on calling these unprofessional people. Garbage, straight garbage. read more

If I could give a 0 rating I would, but the lowest score you can give is a 1 star rating. Based on the reviews on the company from other sites, the movers will do everything to inflate the prices by extending the time they are working on the move. The movers took advantage of my wife who was not familiar with the moving process and did everything they could to take their sweet time to extend the moving time. My wife caught one of the movers twice taking and drinking beer from our fridge. One of the movers was an old guy which complicated the process since he was weak and super slow. I wasn't home and by the time I got home from work I saw the movers still trying to take advantage of my wife kindness and slowly still loading stuff in their trucks. I tried to complain with the company but I was told that I had agreed to the terms of the move. I didn't get any value from the moving process and one glass table was broken due to those movers being careless and only concerned with inflating their time since they were being paid hourly. Please don't make the same mistake my family made and please do an educated decision while choosing a moving company. After I posted my review on Thumbtack, the company's representative basically called me a liar. These are the facts: the job estimate was 6 hours and not 10 hours per the company's lies. See below. Moving Estimate Job No: D2704212 Special Ops Moving 15950 North Dallas Pkwy #400 Dallas TX 75042 US DOT: 2797401 Registration #: TXDMV # 006941698C Customer Rep: Csupport Phone: 214-940-6485 Email: customersupport@specialopsmoving.com Web: www.specialopsmoving.com Move Day: Thursday Move Date: 12/14/2017 Move Time: 09-10AM Reference By: THUMBTACK Created on: 12/10/2017 Relocation Rate 1 Truck/s, 2 Workers, $80.00/hrs 6.0 hours $480.00 Fuel & Mileage $50.00 Total Moving Estimate $530.00 Customer Payment: The job ended up lasting almost 10 hours as the movers DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO EXTEND THEIR TIME. I have some irrefutable evidence that one of the movers was caught twice drinking beer from our fridge. Also I never asked for a discount. I asked for a fair pricing as I kept complaining about the movers taking their time and moving slowly to extend their time. FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR MOVERS PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST COMPANY! I wish someone would have warned me before I hired them. read more

This is the worst moving company I have ever worked with and I highly discourage anyone from using them. They never showed up on the day I was supposed to move and lied throughout the day telling me their movers would be their soon. This ended costing me twice as much since I was unable to move that day and had to move my belongings into a temporary storage since I was leaving for vacation and had to request new elevator times for the new building in which I was planning to move. Let me first start by saying that I spoke to Kelly in Denver and she was very nice on the phone. She promised me I was set for my moving time at 8:00 am on July 1st, 2015. Also, she provided me with her phone number telling me that I can call her anytime with any questions and I provided her a $100 deposit. I don't know how Kelly can feel good about herself. She never returned any of my calls thereafter. I called her to get the certificate of insurance - no call back. I called her when the movers didn't arrive - no call back. I called to get my $100 deposit refunded since the movers never showed up - no call back. I don't know how anyone can show up to their job and feel good about themselves when they know they are lying or have no care to help resolve a situation. I called several people from the company the day of my move only to get voicemail every single time. I left messages but never received a call back and was left hanging the day of move. Finally, I found an email address and did get a response from Stephen which was nice. He did let me know that Joe from their Chicago offices call me back. Joe promised me he would help me out and admitted that the company made a mistake. He promised me that the movers would be at my location after they finish their current move. I was told around 12:30 the movers would be their in 15 min. Then I was promised at 1:00 pm that they were grabbing lunch and be at my place shortly. Then I was promised again they would be at my place in another 15 min. This went on to 5:00 pm and eventually the movers arrived at 5:30 pm but were unable to move at this time since in Chicago most buildings discontinue use of their freight elevators. Joe lied over and over to me throughout the day. He was unreliable and was never trustworthy. Its clear the movers were overbooked and Joe was hoping they would finish their previous jobs earlier and was telling me lies about them being at lunch or planning to be at my place in 15 min. I wouldn't trust him with any move anytime. If Joe would have come clean and been honest, I wouldn't have wasted an entire day sitting in my apartment waiting for the movers to arrive. At 5 pm, I was lucky to be able to call and get Jay Movers in Chicago to take care of move on short notice and they did a great job. I never received any follow up from anyone at the company. I had to call my back to dispute the $100 deposit I left with the company in order to book the scheduled move. This company is a joke and unethical in dealing with their consumers. I have never written a Yelp review until now. I am sending this because I have never dealt with such an unreliable and untrustworthy company in my lifetime. read more

The first issue was that I called to change our moving time from Saturday at noon to Friday at noon. Friday comes, no truck. I called and the woman realized she never moved the schedule for me and said she would speak to her operations manager and get back to me. I could have forgiven that, but she never called me back. 6pm comes around and my husband gets a call stating "we're at your house, you need a few boxes moved?" Ummm, no. We need a whole house moved and we were not told you would be there. "Ok, we will be there Saturday at either 10am or 1pm." How they couldn't pick a time at that point is beyond me. I went to our old house at 930am on Saturday, this is after calling 2 different numbers and emailing trying to get a time nailed down. No response. Assuming that meant 2pm, I left around 1045 and went back to our new house. My husband then went to the old house around 1230 to be sure he was there if they came early. Got a call saying close to 2pm. Then got a call saying they were 30 minutes away. What they meant was, when we actually leave, it will be 30 minutes. They then called stating they were stopping for lunch. They finally arrived at 5pm with their food. Ate in our garage and left garbage in a box I had set out with free things; empty cups and gatorade bottles in the house. To help alleviate our frustration, they sent a 3rd guy. I won't lie, they were fast, however, they left a queen size bed and bookshelf at our old house. My kitchen table has some scratches/dents. The lead guy was rude to my husband. And while they were unloading at our new place, the lead guy kept getting phone calls and based on what I could hear - the same thing was happening to someone else. read more

Broke several items, was over 3 hours late. Refuse to compensate for ANY of the damages to my items. Refuse to refund for the 3 hours late, or the fact the truck they sent was UNABLE to back in to my space, let alone turn around in my parking lot. Absolutely disgraceful display of business practice and will be personally taking the scumbags to court and am reporting them to all necessary local agencies as well disputing with the BBB. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Hired them for a local move and they were careless with our property CAUSING DAMAGE to our furniture and other items. When we filed the forms they required, along with before & after photos of the damage, to request for repairs they ignored us for over 90 days (the time their contract stated that they had to respond). We had to repeatedly contact them for information and finally received a generic form letter denying our claim. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE If you're considering this company be prepared for marginal service and damaged property. "Special Ops"...NOT! read more

Worst customer service. Their employees should be drug tested. Don't follow through Waste of time and money! Not professional at all. Original move was August 2. They were supposed to arrive at 10. They called at 3 and said they were coming. We then asked them to reschedule. They said they were on their way. They arrived at 4 and it was two guys not three. Knowing we had to get this move done, we went along thinking it would go smoothly. After a couple of hours, I said to the mover are you high because I could smell the weed on him. He just laughed and did not deny it. We arrived at the final destination, and the truck did not have the appropriate lighting to unload so I had to go get some light of course this would not have been an issue if they had arrived at 10 in the morning but their delay had moved the timing into the night. They movers were not experienced and only packed the truck half way up in height thus making up leave half the furniture in the original house. The movers complained about moving heavy equipment. Also when they put the furniture together, they failed to put down a rug or blanket and scratched the table which I sent Anthony the photo. We called on the following Monday and Anthony and Kelly said they would make it right by finishing the job. He said the movers were fired. My wife scheduled it and confirmed it on Thursday the 10th for a Monday move. I went with my 87 year old parents and waited for them. My wife called them continuously. They didnt answer their calls so she called from a coworkers cell phone and guess what they answered. She spoke to Jessica. She told Jessica if they aren't coming just tell me. She said they were on their way. I waited and finally got a call around 4. He said that they could be there tomorrow morning. I told them I was not going to waste a whole day with my parents waiting since it was scheduled for today. Can't call them since they blocked my phone numbers so there is really no way to communicate with this company unless you call from another phone number. read more

DO NOT USE..Literally use anyone else! If I could give 0 starts I would! They showed up with NO TOOLS, used our knives and rocks and damaged all of our doorways! They dropped a piano then dragged it on its side to the truck. They snapped the support beam on our couch in half, broke our pottery that was from the 70's, and numerous other items. They didn't use any of the protectors we bought for furniture so everything was horribly stained, and when they stored our stuff in storage, they thought it smart to use our bikes and a small bistro table (on its side at that) piled up as the base for heavier boxes (damaging the bikes) The dudes were stoned and asked us for rolling papers during the move (super professional) and they didn't even finish the move! When you file a claim, they want receipts (70's pottery, 25 year old pristine piano) and use it as a way to get out of having to pay for damages. They state that we just don't want to pay for their honest hard work, when we have worked with MANY moving companies and paid happily. And in cases where items were damaged with other companies, they sent someone out to assess the damage..none of this receipt BS. Seriously, DO NOT USE! You will save yourself thousands of dollars by paying a bit more to go with a more credible company! read more

Local move within Denver, CO I called and made moving reservations with this company a week before my move. I was quoted on the phone a rate of $44.00 an hour per moving employee, I therefore made an electronic deposit of $100.00. When I received the confirmation e-mail the quote estimate was changed to a rate of $133.00 per hour per employee at a time estimate of 5 hours. I was willing to overlook the price change and made the effort of breaking down all of my furniture and moving everything downstairs for easy accessibility and courtesy of the movers. Arrival time estimated was from 12:00pm- 2:00pm at 2:20pm with time concerns I reached out to the company owner and shortly received a call back and was told that there is "Severe Weather Delays" and the movers are expected to be 2 hours late. After waiting 2-1/2 hours later approximately 4:30 I received a call from the movers explaining they would now be another 45 minute delay. I was very upset and reached out to the owner of the company via telephone and was told that there was still "Weather delays" and the owner began to become rude and angry with my daughter and I. I verbally became upset and told the owner that we are a household with a "Disabled Autistic child and this is unacceptable and not okay!!" After abruptly hanging up with the owner, the owner and movers continuously called my phone angrily. I had to turn off my phone to avoid the numerous angry calls that I received from this company. I am outraged that HOME ADVISOR would even recommend this company on their site. They left my disabled child without a bed to sleep on tonight, I am having to book a hotel room until I can get another moving company confirmed. This is NOT OKAY!!! I work for a government non-profit and for a company to be rude and harassing me via phone is NOT OKAY! I am disgusted and outraged. SO SAD at the humanity of this company. read more

This company is a disaster! They literally RUINED my move. They showed up 3 hrs late (1pm) for a 10am start. 3 "veteran movers" talked around for about 20 mins. Said they wanted to go back and get a bigger truck. And NEVER Came Back. The manager, Michael, was rude and dismissive about the situation. He offered to move me the next day for a discount for my troubles. We had to push the people who were assured that we would be out by Sunday AM back. There is nothing honorable about this company. We hired them because they were supposedly military vets. Could not have been more wrong to go with it. Don't buy the patriotic bullshit that this guy uses to screw you over. FFFFFFFFFFFFF read more

It's hard to overstate how bad our experience was with this highly unprofessional mover. 1) showed up 3 hours late for our move in one location. 2) showed up 7 hours late in the other location 3) yelled at me when I complained about how late they were 4) the contract we signed w/ them said they would re-assemble our furniture and, instead, they literally unloaded, didn't assemble anything and snuck out before we had time to check their work, and 5) although we didn't check service records, I seriously doubt any of the movers were actually ex-military. Oh my gosh, my two guys were wonderful. I had Joe and NIck and even though Joe had been moving since 8 am and they got to me about 6:00, he still worked VERY hard and Nick too. Both were extremely polite and cared about my stuff. My move only took 3 hours because they worked so hard, I can't even begin to imagine how tired they must've been but they kept going. I will wholeheartedly recommend Special Ops Moving to my friends and family and anyone that I might overhear saying that they are moving. I also want to add I felt the price was VERY reasonable. I also talked to Wayde several times during the process from setting up the move, he was very polite and cared about my move, he treated me as though I was a valued customer. Thank you Special Ops for making this move the easiest one I've ever done and I've moved 5 times in the last 1 1/2 years. read more

I had three moves over a course of several months where they stored some furniture for me in between. First time showed up, seemed to know what they were doing. Pretty pleased. Bill was for hundreds more than I was lead to believe. Got that stuff back damaged and dented. They will take no responsibility unless you pay them for very expensive insurance that has to name which item you don't want them to destroy. How about you don't destroy anything? Next time did not show up for hours after appointed time. I finally called. No one answered. Called me later, truck is broken. You did not know this 3 hours ago? Promised to come the following morning at 9. Did not show up until almost noon. Stuff is a mess. Called manager and was guaranteed me folks would show up on time this last time. The storage fee waved. Truck loaded the night before. They then tried to deliver it on the wrong day, charged me for the storage, got something all over my leather sofa., ruined my wood floors by trooping in slush and not wiping their feet. Further, insisted that I pay in advance for how long they thought it would for the move, per company policy. Both the other times this was not the case. I told them I did not agree and did not understand the charges. They said they would send me a receipt to clear it up. Receipt was a text of the total amount with no explanation. Called and left message that I did not understand the bill. You guessed it. They never called me back. By the way, these guys are not vets. They don't even know a vet. This is a really fly by night, untrained group of crooks. Steer clear! Please don't review this business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees. read more

Giving three stars simply for the packers, they were fast and efficient and gave me a discount rate because they were not there for the quoted time. My huge problem is the fact that they don't wrap my mattress, just threw it in the truck. It's nasty now, and has become a pain to clean. So of my boxes were thrown around and things were not put into the correct place. The guys were friendly but I do suspect that at least a couple of them were high. I don't think that I will use them again. My mattress is expensive and I feel that it's ruined. read more

Run from Special Ops Movers. I originally scheduled movers for Saturday, May 16th but there was a mix-up in the office and the movers arrived on the day before our move. When I called back I was told someone would get back to me but after many calls no call back. At 8pm that night the COO called me and apologized for the scheduling error and made arrangements for our move. The guys that moved us were good and we finished moving late afternoon on Saturday. Then I was asked to pay by credit card - which I did - but was told the charge would not go through. So I was asked to give them a check for the charge which I did. A couple days later the charge appeared on my credit card account. After many calls and no call backs to resolve the duplicate payment, I had to call my credit card company to dispute the charge. I've continued to call the company to straighten out this matter but no one ever calls back. Special Ops is great at booking your business but needs big time help in the accounting department. I don't recommend them at all. read more

I scheduled a 2 part move over a month ago with Special Ops Moving and Storage. Their phone number is 720-504-0225 (incase you find them listed as something else) They were set to come and completely pack and move my In-laws out of their townhouse yesterday. I called them on Monday to confirm times since I would be the one there to help. I was told by Kelly that they would in fact be there between 9-10am but would call me to let me know when they were on the way. At 9:45 I called the office because I hadn't heard from anyone. Spoke with the manager (not sure his name) and he apologized and said that the guys had a meeting he forgot about and were on their way. at 11:15 still no movers. I called again and this time spoke with Kelly who said that they were just leaving the warehouse and would be there in 45 min to an hour. I explained to her that I was told the same thing at 9:45 and that I was paying a babysitter for this time. I also explained that I was very concerned that I also had a move on Friday that they were doing and I couldn't have that move happen the same way. She said that they had their best crew booked for Friday and that that was who I was getting yesterday. I said that that was not very reassuring given the current situation. Her response to me was that "things happen in life and if that's not acceptable to you I'll just cancel both moves". I was livid but stuck because I had no other options. 5 min later I got a call from Xavier (the dispatcher) who said that he had called a crew in and they would be there in 45 min. Again I'm confused because I was told that there was a meeting and then told that they were on the way. Now there was no crew? 20 min later I get a call from "the crew" saying they are an hour away.. It's not 12:45. So I am beyond frustrated at this point. He informs me that it's him and a buddy of his. I was supposed to have a 3 man crew. I mentioned that and was told that when you book your appointment the day of you have to take what you can get. Ummm.. WHAT?! I booked this a month ago. I explained that this was a complete pack and move and that 2 guys were going to take forever. He was shocked that he was supposed to be packing the boxes. He calls me back and says that he is working to get a 2nd crew. 1:45 a crew of 2 show up. They tell me that a 2nd crew will be there in 45 min (heard that before). So the 2nd crew shows up at 5:45 to help. They did make up a little bit by saying that they wouldn't charge me for the 4th guy but still we were there until 9:00. Overall a terrible experience. I cancelled Fridays move and found someone else. The attitude they had of "you need us more than we need you" was the reason I will never use this company again. I hope you won't either. read more

I had a window from 12pm to 2pm. At 1:34pm, I received a call from Richard, who said he was on his way from Denver (my apartment is half an hour from Denver) and would knock my move out in an hour. At 3pm, he still had not arrived, so I called to see where he was. He said he had gotten caught up in paperwork and would be leaving soon. When I asked when he expected to be at my apartment, he said half an hour. He told me not to worry; he would be done in an hour (which was essentially a moot point, since I had expected him no later than 2pm). He FINALLY arrived at 4pm, two hours after my window. While I understand a window is an estimate, I expect lateness to be due to unforeseen circumstances, not someone choosing to do paperwork instead of completing a scheduled move. When he arrived, I was not home. He called me to tell me he was by my pod (he was to be moving my items from my apartment into the pod), and I told him I wasn't home but would send my husband out. Richard replied, "I just wanted to let you know I was here." Unsure of what he wanted me to do, I told him he could go up to my apartment, as someone was there. He then told me I didn't have to be rude; he just wanted to meet me and was by my pod. I said, "I understand you are by the pod. I am not home, but my husband is. I will have him come right out." When my husband went out, Richard immediately told him how "rude" I was, calling me a bitch, and my husband replied I was frustrated because he arrived TWO HOURS after he said he would. Richard said not everything needs to be planned. Really? I am pretty sure a move does need to be planned, and when someone says they are going to be somewhere at a certain time, that is what is expected. He then told my husband he hopes we don't have kids, because we clearly can't go with the flow. When my husband mentioned we are currently expecting our first child, Richard replied that it was unfortunate! Side note - Though Richard arrived at 4pm, he couldn't start the move then, because he had two kids in his backseat and was waiting for his wife to get them. Once the move finally began, it didn't get better. Richard said fuck at least twenty times, oftentimes yelling it. Gage, the 15 year old he brought with him to help, dropped SEVERAL of my boxes and never apologized or offered to check if anything was broken. I was going to purchase furniture pads, which I was told was an option when scheduling my move, but Richard arrived in his personal car with only plastic wrap (which he ran out of), so I was not able to. He told me multiple times he understood why I was grumpy (because I was pregnant, not because he was two hours late and then INCREDIBLY rude and unprofessional). He kept talking about what an outstanding mover he was and how lucky we were to have him and his 30 years of experience, which couldn't have been more ironic. He took at least four personal phone calls while he was on the clock with us. I had a desk, which was moved into my apartment with no problem, and he was unable to get it out. He got so upset at the situation that, after yelling fuck and shit repeatedly, he took a hammer to it. Luckily, I wanted the desk to be put by the dumpster, but it made me wonder what he would have done had I needed the item put in my pod. When it was time to pay, my husband tipped each mover $10, which I thought was exceedingly generous given the circumstances, and Richard complained it wasn't enough! From start to finish, this move was the worst experience possible. It should have been simple and straightforward - he and Gage literally just had to walk our things down a sidewalk and into a pod - but Richard made it miserable. He was rude, unprofessional, offensive, and did not come prepared. He could not have provided worse customer service. Also, the move lasted over two hours, in spite of Richard's repeated assurances that he would get it done in one. Lastly, I called the company's "customer service" department, and they aren't much better than Richard - I was told I would get a call back and still have not heard anything. read more

This company is THE most unprofessional company I have ever experienced. I live on a military post and the movers have my address but when they tried to enter the gate they were not allowed because they did not have valid identification. This was the first day they were supposed to get at my place between 9 to 10 AM and they did not let me know that they couldn't make it that day until late in the evening. The next day they were supposed to come again and the manager had called me the night before saying that they would be there the next morning right away. I waited and called multiple times trying to figure out where the movers were. The receptionist kept telling me that she would try to contact the movers and the manager to see what was going on. The day progressed and the receptionist began to not even answer my phone calls anymore, and I heard nothing from any movers. I waited at my house all day and heard absolutely nothing from any employee. I finally decided to call one of the movers numbers around 7:00 PM and he told me, "yeah this is not going to work, we're not able to get to you today". I told him that I wanted my deposit back immediately and he told me "yeah you can get that back just call the manager". The next day I tried to call the company and left many voicemails but no one answered the phone. It's been about four or five days trying to contact them and still have not gotten a call back. This company should not even be in existence and I warn anyone that's looking into doing business with them to stay far away!!!! read more

DO NOT USE!!! CROOKS, These people took my deposit $710.00 after I changed my mind and went with another company. I notified them within 24 hours I wanted my deposit back. They would not give it back to me. Under Colorado State Law, you have 72 hours to cancel any contract. I did NOT sign any contract. I'm going to have to go to small claims court. Use All My Sons moving company 303-495-7600. Much cheaper. I am a disabled veteran that's why I went to this moving company. If I can save as many families from using this company. I would have at least some satisfaction. And yes I have read the review guidelines. If I could give it a zero star I would. read more

Very upset. Only good thing was polite employees read more

Disappointed, frustrated, angry sums up my feeling right now. I scheduled my move almost 2 months ago and was given a time of 9-10am. At 9 I called for an update and was told by 10 and they would call a half hour prior. At 10 I received a call from the mover saying that they would be a few hours late because the move from the day before didn't get finished and they needed to finish that first. I then spoke to their offices to voice my frustration and Mike told me they would be there in a half an hour to an hour. I talked to Mike again and he said it would definitely be there before afternoon. At noon I was told they were finished at the last place and on there way. At one they're still not here and aren't answering their phone. I don't know that I've heard a single bit of truth all day. I wouldn't have nearly as much issue with this if they would have communicated and been upfront because then I could've done something else with my morning. Very unprofessional. They did finally show up at 3pm and the move got done. I bitched loud enough that Mike honored a $25 off coupon that I happened to notice on their website so I guess he made things right sort of. read more

The movers were nice but we discovered various dings on two NEW and EXPENSIVE pieces of furniture. Their insurance coverage is not even worth the time to submit a claim. Also, there were several smaller sentimental items that are nowhere to be found months after the move. We believe they were left on the truck. I emailed the company twice and no response. I would never use them again. read more

Moving is not fun for me and the fear of wondering who will do it and where everything will go is the worst feeling. These guys really did a great job and were very careful with all of our possessions. Ivan, Eddie, and Cesar worked their butts off and I would be happy to have them come unload everything once we move in to our new place in a couple of weeks. The price was very reasonable and definitely money well spent. I will update once they deliver everything, but so far so good! I love a stress-free move! read more

Where do I begin? They were unprepared, did not have enough boxes or wardrobe boxes for packing. They were very slow and unprofessional. The team was uncooperative. Didn't want to try to get my dining table in the door. I've done it with other movers in the same building with no problem. They broke 6 glasses that they had packed, and damaged my entertainment unit. It was like they had never moved before. Note: This company took over for Father and Son movers. read more

Worst moving experience ever. Started off with their phone service not telling the movers that we needed help packing, they showed up bitchy and unprepared. They played with guns and talked on the phone, erroneously packed medications, took their sweet time, didn't bring the washing machine, argued with each other. We had to delay our move, rent a trailer because of forgotten items and missing medications. Fast forward to when we need our stuff delivered, they refuse for over a week due to the weather. We're in Colorado, they are afraid of show. Forgot the bed boards, over $600 of valuables crushed due to poor packing, they offer sixty cents a pound on damage. Missing silverware (claim I gave it to him) and bed boards, boards show up full of drill holes that someone had intentionally damaged. Dealing with the owner is like talking to a two year old, has decided that we said we can't pay, lowers himself to calling names. Finally he attempts to bring stolen silver and boards, state they are bringing kids to play with my horses. Um, no. Then they refused to bring it and hired and trusted a third party to return the silver, because they are afraid of the police. They needed to be as the bed boards were drilled full of holes and the silver still had pieces missing, plus the driver was suspended and spent the night in jail. HONORABLE. Disabled vets, the VA, VFW and DAV have been notified of these and will warn about our and other Veterans who have had serious problems with this company. BEWARE. Report filed with Better Business Bureau, feel we should receive refund or reimbursement for damages. read more

The Denver location should be investigated and someone should be arrested!! They have lost and damaged the majority of my parents belongings. Everything smelled like weed, box's were opened and rummaged through. My parents just retired and moved to Arizona, Specia Op's were supposed to deliver to her on Friday morning, after several phone calls, someone finally called her back stating there were "mechanical problems," will be there Saturday morning, Saturday morning came and went, this time no one returned a phone call!! Saturday night they showed up, missing over half their belongings, and the mover informed us they didn't even load the truck until 11:30 Friday night!! There were no "Mechanical problems"! After being told her belongings would be in a pod until ready to move, their stuff was just thrown in a wearhouse they didn't know who's stuff was who's!! (From the movers) They load up guessing what might belong to that person!! The items that did arrive were severely damaged!! My moms 80 year old table and buffet were scratch very badly, chairs were broken, dresser looks like someone punched a whole through it! They say they are "vetren" friendly, my dad is a vet, my parents are senior citizens, and this is how they treat them?! They won't return a phone call!! The "owner" Leo is rude, unprofessional, and aggressive! Scheduled a meeting with them for 5:30 pm He finally showed up 47 minuets late! All I can say is god I had a police officer with me, I couldn't imagine his behavior if the officer wasn't there. I felt very threatened! If you value your belongings don't use this company!! Read their reviews and look at the over 40 complaints filed with the BBB!!! Stay away, far away!! read more

YELP SHOULD ALLOW NEGATIVE STARS,! Do not under ANY circumstance hire Special ops AKA delta force movers unless you want to be cheated, lied to and have your delivery held ransom. I have pages of documentation but once they have your goods, nothing matters but more money. The actual workers work hard..once...you pay management again an again...oh and trying to find out who is who is a very interesting adventure. A written and signed estimate with Delta Force of 6287...with me a 66 year old woman doing all the packing of inside house using own boxes and material turned into an 8500 job with Special ops. They cited unpacking at Warehouse as the extra cost even though I was looking directly at the daily bill of laden that added the extra time and was zeroed out each day. They tried to make me go get a certified check for the additional money (@ 1100 Friday when we were closing). Administration said they only took 2000 on credit card. I told them how interesting because I had already paid over 5000...on a credit card...response...OH...KEPT CALLING AND CALLING and messaging and messaging...texted...Delta Force and it was sent back to Special Ops...Their web pages state they work with and donate to veterans...well someone needs to make them prove that hook...my husband is a retired disabled veteran and all this company did was take advantage of him. I DO NOT KNOW HOW DOT allows this group to keep a license. DO NOT HIRE!! read more

Special OPS Moving & Storage also known as Movers Connection YOU HAVE NOW BEEN WARNED!!! Do not use this company! The office manager, Acacia and the owner Sarah Thorpe's boyfriend Michael are liars and thieves!!! Your belongings will be stolen if you use their storage facility. Furniture and boxes will be gone and they won't bother returning your calls. Do Not Sign ANYTHING if you pick your items up from their storage. This is how they will scam you about the mediation company in Florida...which is a joke to deal with also! Don't fall for "sign here or you cannot pull away from the dock!" Drive AWAY...you will find you are missing a lot of belongings. What you do have will be broken, gouged and trashed!!! They do not hire Veterans, They lost their BBB Rating and if you think the Attorney Generals Office or P.U.C. at D.O.R.A. will help, that's a joke too! If you have anything in their storage facility, you better get insurance! Let your Insurance company fight with them and win JUDGMENTS. They have numerous ones against them. I was shown copies of the Judgments when I went to go file a claim against them in April 2016. LOSERS!!! LIARS and THIEVES!!! Oh, They also DO NOT HIRE VETERANS...marketing ploy, like the Sign of the FISH! read more

My husband and I are in the army and relocate regularly. We had to move within the Springs this month and use our own choice of movers. We chose Special Ops moving. We saw the reviews werent all great but I know more people ususally leave reviews if the experience was bad versus good or average. I decided to give them the opportunity since they donate to Vets in need. These movers were so great! They worked so hard and were so nice and polite and asked me where I wanted my items placed. Took extra care going through the tight corners with the large items. There were a few marks on the walls(to be expected) I don't really know how they even got the pieces through but they did. I was very impressed and would recommend Special Ops anytime. When talking with Specail Ops I wondered why they had so many poor reviews and they said they move 300-400 people per month and only have 1% complaints. They encourage people to leave good reviews and it doesnt always happen so I wanted to make sure I left a good one for them because they deserve it! read more

Tony and Reggie were FANTASTIC. They arrived promptly at 9am (when they were expected between 9 and 10am), wrapped and padded everything required, worked literally non-stop until 6:15pm when the entire 26 ft truck was loadednacrossnthree stops and then unloaded into our new home. The only break they seemed to take was when driving and when I bought them Snarf's sandwiches (their first time having them :)). We couldn't be happier with our move, and we couldn't have done it without Tony and Reggie. The staff at Special Ops were great, too. Incoming call, scheduling, down payment, and when we had to reschedule our move, were all easy and straight forward. Our neighbor had recommended Special Ops, I will definitely recommend them as well. Compared to Two Men and a Truck and All My Sons, Special Ops had better value and after our experience, I'm not sure how their moving service could be beat. read more

Major shout out to these guys who helped us move a couple of months ago. Efficient, kind, professional and fast. The two-man team worked like an army. They understood that their time was our money and although they were entitled to for sure, neither of them took breaks. They worked hard and moved us with nothing broken, scratched or damaged and no one hurt. I was recovering from the flu and was low on energy to begin with. Their work ethic and strength was so impressive. Seriously, two guys felt like ten as they moved and loaded/unloaded their truck. Give those guys a bonus because I've never seen two people do the work of so many in such a short amount of time. And the programs for injured troops that you support with extra revenue? Nothing short of amazing. Recommending to anyone moving in the Denver metro area. read more

I wanted to write a review on this company Special Ops Moving and Storage. These guys were great. On my last move I downsized tremendously into a smaller house. These guys came and picked up all my oversized furniture and belongings that would not fit into this tiny house. They packed it all up and put into there storage facility for a really reasonable price. I also opened up an office out of state as well as a small apartment when I have to travel there for work. These guys do long distance moves and was great they not only moved a whole HUGE office and unloaded furniture into the apartment but they set it all up for me!!! FANTASTIC!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Super Service! This moving company was the best my husband and I have ever used. Jamal and Anthony greeted us with a smile when they arrived and where very quick and helpful to our moving needs. They were extremely accommodating and friendly. They never skipped a beat, and where I would have been banging the corners of end tables into door frames, they never scraped a single item or showed a lack of care for our furniture. They wrapped are dresser to my satisfaction and were careful with every box labeled fragile. None of my personal items broke during the move. After all was said and done they clearly explained the rate and final bill. Their tips were well-deserved and I'd recommend them to anyone that's looking for reliability and efficiency at a great cost. read more

Stay away guys !!! Save yourself headaches , wasted time and money . I hired this supposedly moving company to move some of my furniture and equipment . They delibaretely broke an expensive kitchen equipment , a Turbo Air Refrigerated Bakery Case. They tought it will be easier to transport if they took it apart . They removed the front sealed glass and broke it in pieces.. They did so without my permission rendering the bakery case useless. After filing a claim they offered me pennies on the dollar , which was another insult, ignored my phone calls and called me a liar. The case is still pending in Denver court . Hired them to move a piano. Arrival window was 9-10. I got a call at 10:30, after waiting for two hours, that they won't be able to arrive until 2-4pm. I had blocked off half a day of work. I had them come the next day instead. The 4 people who were supposed to come at the rate I was quoted, were only 3 people, an hour late. Scratched the wall moving the piano, but I had signed several waivers of which didn't hold them liable for floors and wall damage. I asked for a discount for the poor service and for missing a half day of work for nothing. Nothing. The movers were nice enough guys and when the finally showed up they had the right tools and were quick, but everything else was pretty disappointing. read more

I recently made the move out of Denver. Special Ops Moving was amazing. Tony was my crew chief and we had 6 people to pack us and 6 to move us. I think the fact that I trusted the people in my house and liked their personalities as I got to know them helped put me at ease. The crews were very professional and handled all my belongins with the utmost care.. I would highly recommend Special Ops to anyone in need.
