His English was very good, and he was personable and knowledgeable. We'd chosen two points of interest to visit along the way. João waited with the car while we stopped at Nazare and then again when we explored Obidos and had a leisurely lunch. Goncalo even escorted us into the airport, got us into the VIP line (which we weren't booked in) and stayed with us until our last bag was taken and we walked to security. Not disclosing the monetary penalty the changes were made and later we learned cost over 800 euros and we lost many of the vouchers we had previously paid for. This allowed us to see all the high points, but we could deviate if something caught our attention - like ancient Roman ruins!
