She was really no help at all and basically told me she wasn't willing to help me as I'm pretty much in a patient room ready to cry my pain was so bad! Personally I feel she was just way too young in her career to be solo and she didn't have enough medical experience to connect with her patients. I have a severe lower back issue. It acts up every once in awhile and is horrible. I treat it the same way and in about a week I'm back to normal. This PA would not listen to me. I've been dealing with this for almost 2 decades, trust me I know what works. A muscle relaxer. At times steroids (even though I hate them) and occasionaly a pain patch or pain pill. She was willing to give me ZERO help! I had to ask for an MD, which gave the PA an attitude! The MD was amazing!! Gave me what I needed trusted me to know my body and what worked in the past and sent me on my hobbling way. A day later and I was actually able to sleep lying down. Thank you beautiful MD! I really hope the management staff reads this because the PA (Sarah) really could use some training in bedside manner, learning to trust her patient and she needs to realize not ever one is seeking drugs, and she could use some sensitivity training. When someone goes to urgent care, they're going because they need help. When that person is telling you NSAIDs, heat and ice, stretching, swimming and yoga are NOT working and they are looking to you for alternatives after being awake with pain unable to sit or lay for the past 29 hours and that person can barely move and you tell that patient that all you can offer them at this time is a big fat NOTHING, than 1) you're not doing what my copay and insurance is paying you to do and 2) you're isolsting your self from relationship building with your patients so you'll never get word of mouth referrals or build a positive reputation in your community for yourself because as of now I would ask to only be seen by an MD if and when I ever need to return after the experience I had with this PA. This is advice I will give to everyone asking if I know of an urgent care based off of this experience. That's a genuine concern for me and as a patient and should be a large concern for the management team. As a professional, I'd need this to be addressed. Patient care and relationship building should be equal to listening and trusting your patients. People come there for medication, to be treated and for resolution, not to be discounted and treated like they're wasting the time of the PA, which is exactly how I felt. She was not interested in helping me when I was in serious need of help! That's sad. Outside of this, everything was great! Beaumont, give your newer employees patient care training and celebrate your seasoned professional who really care about listening to the patients needs!

They are usually really good about getting me in same day if I need to be seen and am not particular about which doctor I see. If I want to see my Doc or one of the other ones I prefer sometimes I have to wait until the following day. There usually isn't that much of a wait once I get there. You can usually email them if you have any questions about medications or concerns. Most of the physicians are very patient and don't rush you and will let you ask about other medical/health concerns that aren't necessarily the reason you came in and not make you feel rushed. Sorry I'm not naming names, sometimes you just don't mesh well with certain people. I don't want to tarnish someone based on my preferences.

When one of my…read morechild's existing providers needed to change an appointment day, we were able to easily get in with another doctor. The building is super convenient with lots of parking. It's easy to navigate and find the office you're looking for. I will say, the check in and check out processes are exhausting. When we arrived, only one check in kiosk was working. I helped an elderly patient work the system as well as it's not super intuitive like other U of M self check in kiosks have been elsewhere that I've used. The check in line without the self check kiosk is long, think 12 patients long. Checking out requires you to wait in the same long line. It goes by faster than you think, but it took me 15 minutes to get through. Someone with a physical injury may be hard pressed to stand in line for 15 minutes. My toddler was tired and cranky and that was hard enough. I think they need a speedy lane for those with physical ailments or others that have a hard time physically standing. It would be excellent for there to be a large-print sign letting patients with physical disabilities know they can enter a different queue. The doctor we saw through Kellogg Eye Center there was top notch, as they all are, but I may opt for driving to Ann Arbor for future appointments.

I called on Sunday for the results and I was told that the place they send X-rays to was closed on Sundays, that they would know something by Monday. On Monday when I called they said they hadn't sent it over to the place to have it read, but would and they would know something by the end of the day. I called back at the end of the day and they still didn't have the results. They did give me the number to the place they send the X-rays to so I called them and left a message. The man quickly called me back and said he didn't have my X-rays, but he did list off all the last names of the ones sent over by Xpress and other urgent cares who use their services. He asked me if I could take a photo of my X-rays and text them to him while we were on the phone and he'd read them. Since I don't have access to those X-rays I was unable to! Due to the run around by this place I had no choice but to go to another urgent care, Beaumont Urgent Care, for X-rays!! Beaumont was able to do my x-rays, give me the results and have me out of there within forty minutes!!
