She helped us create the perfect menu, was super flexible and responsive, and most importantly, the food was to-die-for. We finished the night by planning out when the next event we could have Shelby/Eat Dank Foods host (which can't come soon enough!).

Everything was so delicious and the process of working with Shelby was completely painless and could not have been easier. She sent over a list of menu options with so many great choices that it was difficult to narrow it down. In the end we settled on crispy pork belly and eggs for breakfast, beef and lamb birria tacos for lunch, and a three course dinner including elk empanadas, oxtail osso buco, and pistachio tiramisu. We could not have been more happy with the experience. The food was spectacular, Shelby was a joy to work with, and it's clear she really loves cooking for people and takes great pride in what she does. It was fun to watch someone who is so good at what she does execute on some of the best meals we could have asked for. Highly recommend Eat Dank Food and will definitely work with Chef Shelby again without hesitation.

Super friendly service and very accommodating for my no dairy requirements. I had the veggie burger, which was probably the best veggie burger I've ever had. This thing was so fresh tasting, there's no way it was prepared from being frozen. Full of quinoa, corn, etc. super duper delicious remoulade on a really good gourmet bun. Of course, I forgot to take a pic, but, I did manage to document my eating mates selections. See those pics - albeit, half eaten. Upgrade your order to the sweet potato tots, don't even hesitate, they're healthy and come with a mustard seed aioli sauce that makes the whole meal 360 degrees of scrumptiousness. I wish I had room in my pie hole for the donut ice cream sandwich - my only regret. Go off your intended route to try this place. McDonald's and Taco Bell don't need you. There's lovely tables and chairs under the trees that are clean and stocked with napkins and hand sanitizer. A really nice break in our trip!

They have a nice sized patio area with about 7 spaced out tables and a couple of chairs for the to go orders. There is a huge pine tree for shade as well. Simple menu written on a chalk board because it varies daily. The prices seem appropriate for a quality food truck and for the area as well. I was already debating the Philly or the shrimp poboy depending on what they had and it turned out to be the poboy. Order didn't take long and then my huge sandwich arrived. It came with a small bag of chips, but the sandwich itself is huge and loaded. The sandwich is on a soft hogie rather than the traditional french type of bread, but it's delicious and fresh . The shrimp (plump, perfectly cooked and plenty) is in a kind of dark cajun remoulade mixed with bacon and sauteed onions with multi colored bell peppers. Oh, and it has lettuce so you don't feel bad about eating it all in one sitting! :) Overall, I loved it! Bursting with flavor in every bite! Felt more like a Cajun shrimp Philly minus the cheese. Only if I was to be the one to name it of course! There is no such thing as a shrimp Philly though...yet! Oh, and ask for a fork or to have them cut it in half or you will be using way more napkins than necessary! ;-) Met Kevin, ones of the owners and he was very nice and easy to talk to. Nice place to stop if you are passing through or if you are a local, what are you waiting for!? Try them out before they go on their winter vacation! :) Or just make sure you try them out when you get a chance. They'll be back. I hope!

SUMMARY: Mediocre food…read more Despite the great reputation, well adorned facility, stellar location, and impressive menu, everything I ordered proved consistently disappointing. Calling this food ordinary is, at best, an overstatement. At each turn, my efforts invoked in salvaging the (food) entries was met with failure. Starting with a simple Caesar salad, the lettuce tasted several days old. Drenched in ordinary tasting salad dressing, the romaine lettuce became soggy from the presence of excessive dressing. The dressing was too strong in taste, akin to store bought lower priced varieties, and from this, proved difficult to eat. The portion was generous, however. WARNING: Do not order the minestrone soup. To explain: The minestrone soup proved ultra disappointing. With the amount that I paid, $12, for a bowl, I was expecting it to be of meal-like quality. Instead, it was also challenging to consume, being so vinegary, possessing a handful of some tomato slices and little else. It arrived lukewarm. Instead of ample carrots, beans, celery, onion, etc., with typically a delicious broth, all that I could detect was slimy tomato slices in a pool of vinegar. The "chef" needs to study quality minestrone soup recipes and completely start over, especially if customers are charged $12 for such. I was so looking forward to a quality and hearty minestrone soup. I haven't tasted anything so pathetic yet simultaneously overpriced, in years. Have they tasted this? It pains me to speak so passionately about something like this. But it was a disaster. The house bread? It was crunchy, also seeming to be dated, not stale, just not fresh. It wasn't warm. It was dry. The garlic butter was fine, but following the theme, ordinary, at best. I tried everything to make at least the bread come alive, heaping massive piles of garlic butter on it. Nothing could rescue the bread either. No olive oil was to be found anywhere on the table or tables in my vicinity. Very friendly staff was present, but their inexperience and lack of polish became annoying. Whatever virtue that the "soup" might have had was lost as it got even colder while she was talking ceaselessly to me. Yes, it arrived lukewarm before she was conversing. Friendly service, even if awfully informal, can't compensate for such a poor price - value relationship and mediocre food. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Perhaps they do a superior job on pasta dishes. Yet, upon perusing the menu, I couldn't find just a small or half portion of spaghetti. A jr. high aged boy near me somehow managed to order a small plate of spaghetti. While it looked ordinary, such would likely have proven sufficient tonight, even if such was likely only available on the children's menu. If this restaurant once served fresh and delicious food, something, at least of late, has woefully gone awry in the kitchen.

The noise level ruined the whole experience. I measured the db on my watch and it was typically mid 80's. I even saw a reading of 90 db! This means wait staff should be wearing hearing protection! The owners need to invest in some sound dampening panels or other technology. Food was average. We had a Cesar salad which was quite flavorful and crisp. We also had the elk cannelloni which was bland. I would not recommend the restaurant until the noise issues are addressed and perhaps try a different menu selection.

I started searching for a place to eat up here and everything had 2 stars and all the reviews were negative about the food and everything else. Stumbled upon this place online and it had 5 stars and great reviews. I was a little skeptical because no restaurant ever has 5 stars. Gave it a shot and couldn't have been more happy. I sat at the bar and the staff was very friendly and easygoing. I had the Wings and the Fried chicken. Once I got the fried chicken I kind of thought to myself I'm an idiot because I got wings for an app and now more chicken lol. Both were amazing and the gravy on the fried chicken was out of this world. I got the pot roast to go for a friend of mine who was in the hotel because he wasn't feeling to well. He said it was out of this world. Mind you we've been going from hotel to hotel on this powder search. All in all this place was amazing. Thank you.
