Unfortunately I've now moved to Canada which is a bit of a trek for a filling! I can't recommend the practice highly enough. I referred friends here and they were equally delighted. They do their best to slot you in for treatment when it suits-they're open weekdays and also approximately every second Saturday 9-12. The surgery is bright and shiny and always gleaming. It's good from the moment you go in the door. Sandra, the nurse, is lovely and extremely friendly. The waiting room has Sky News and a selection of up to date magazines and a copy of the Examiner. The surgery itself also has a TV if you need distracting-but you won't. Not only is Aidan an excellent dentist who doesn't hurt you; he's also a great conversationalist who is endlessly entertaining. The time flies by! He also doesn't give out. He just tells you what needs to be done. I can't imagine anyone retaining a fear of dentists after attending him. His wife is also in the practice and is lovely. I would go to either of them. And do so happily. So definitely go, but don't say I sent you. Just off the shopping high street (and oh so close to the delightful English Market) Denis O'Leary Unicare Pharmacy is the sort of brightly lit, well laid out chemist to do the job. Una was the very helpful manager who assured me it would be no trouble at all to take care of my order, and to pop back whenever I was ready for pick up. It's a relief to know someone can take care of you when so far (ok, two and a half hours) from home. Besides the well stocked chemists counter, the pharmacy also offers a large range of beauty and well-being products. It's also well staffed, so if one staff member is busy there's another three on the floor happy to help.

I had one 10 min microdermabrasion treatment and my skin is still red today, with no sign of getting better. I've just requested an appointment with a Consultant Dermatologist i'm so worried. The Appointment: First, they had no record of my appointment when i arrived. I was left out in a corridor while they figured it out (they had me in for the wrong day). My consultation consisted me filling out a form and a 2 min chat while the therapist looked at my areas of concern. Then i was told the person who could use the machine necessary for some of the concerns i had booked about wasn't there. The therapist then used what i think was a microdermabrasion machine (i was never told) on one area of concern, but kept using it even after i said it was starting to hurt. Then she tried to charge me full price of €90 (we eventually settled on half price, which i stupidly paid). I was rushed out as someone else was waiting. Afterwards: I was worried immediately about the area treated and took photos for days after. 4 days later i sent first email detailing above and sent the photos and voiced my concern. The response: i was asked to pay the outstanding amount for the treatment!!! I was also told to follow the aftercare given by my therapist (id been given nothing and had to ask for it). Then i was told to come back in 2 weeks (at what i could only assume was full price). For the next few weeks i continued to keep in contact with Vitality, voicing my concerns and sending photos as time went on. I was told a second time to pay the outstanding amount. I was asked to fill in a complaint form. I received a phone call where, when i asked again was there anything i could use to reduce the redness, she mentioned a cream that might work (which in fairness she did post me free of charge). It didn't work. I have never received an apology. At all times i felt my concerns were not to be taken seriously and that they were more worried about getting their money then they were with my well being. And im seriously worried they have left me with permanent redness.

On arrival, there is also a big comfortable waiting area where you can enjoy teas or coffee. I was very impressed with how clean and private the clinic is! As expected, my appointment started on time. Kudos to Dr. Flannery as she is very kind and knowledgeable and at all times made sure to check on my comfort while the treatment was being done. She also answered all my questions and explained the procedure to me in detail which made me feel very comfortable and informed. I highly recommend Vitality Centre for everyone who wants to enjoy a better health overall!

From the first visit, I was amazed at the relief. At my follow up after the x-rays and another treatment I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation without any problems. Being a tourist, I feared that I might be taken advantage of, but I had nothing to fear. She was beyond fair and accommodating. She is so personable, knowledgable, up front, and highly trained. She was able to explain her approach, her history from a professional point of view with a personal touch, as well as provide recommendations. I highly recommend Dr. Cantillon. I lost my Nikon camera battery charger and needed one immediately, so I paid a 25% premium above what Amazon was selling my camera battery charger for. Turns out, three days later I found my charger after all and so didn't need the one I purchased at Camera World. I went to return the essentially brand-new-three-day-old camera battery charger, only to learn that they don't accept returns. To top it off, when I mentioned I was never told that by the salesman who sold me the charger, one of the men told me, "It's not your legal right to know." The other man chimed in, "It's the customer's responsibility to ask." Hmm, interesting. So not only did I pay for an un-returnable overpriced camera battery charger, I was also hit with condescending sales staff when I wanted to return it. I responded by saying that while it may not be my legal right, it certainly would have been courteous and gentlemanly to mention the return policy upon purchasing. They responded, "We have tons of customers. You think we have time for that?" Well, how about simply training your sales staff to remind customers about the return policy when they make a sale. It's as simple as saying "this item can't be returned" or "we don't accept returns." Or put up a sign. Seems pretty easy and not very time consuming to me. But nope, they didn't have any of that. It was by far the worst experience I've ever had with any retail store. With the way I was treated, I almost felt conned: like they purposely don't tell their customers about the return policy so they can more easily close sales. To top it off, they seemed to offer very little empathy about the situation, and were extremely rude. My recommendation: unless you absolutely need something THAT moment, wait the extra 2-3 days for something off Amazon and avoid Camera World AT ALL COSTS. Unless you're in a bind or want to give your business to someone who doesn't value their customer relationships, I see no reason to ever even step foot in there.
