Sited between Argos and Sainsburys, there are two carparks nearby - St Marys Road, and Sainsburys (which is the closer, and has better facilites for disabled/mother & baby). Good disabled and buggy access, friendly helpful staff, and extremely good, knowledgeable opticians, you don't feel like you are getting a budget service as you can in some of the other chains. A wide range of frames, including hypoallergenics and children's, you should be able to find something to suit everyone, with a fast, yet accurate, turn around on orders.

The staff are very helpful and you feel they are genuinely trying to help you select the best option, rather than trying to sell you the most expensive pair of glasses. The advice I received when shopping for my latest pair of glasses was excellent and I am really happy with my purchase. The only complaint I could make is a minor one and that is that when going for an eye test, you may end up waiting a fair while from when your appointment was supposed to take place.

I used them as I get a free eye test through work but it has to be used through them. They have always been very friendly and polite when I have been in and helpful. I have bought one pair of glasses from here and I found them perfect for me. The member of staff helped me choose and suggested styles that suited me.

However once I remember to go it is well stocked with a lovely range of frames to suit all budgets. The staff are helpful adn although I have never had a prescription from their myself, I have friends who have been very happy wiht tehir opticains services. I have to say that I am a bit impatient and for me I prefer to go to somewhere where I can get my new glasses the same day, but that would be on eof the only things stopping me from going to D&A
