Three of these young men were sitting at a table in close proximity with one another. This was the same day that 70,000 new cases of COVID-19 were reported elsewhere in the country, after a 2-week period that saw half a million new cases. Since my wife and I both work in places that require employees to wear masks, I told the young woman (Morgan, who to her credit was wearing an N95) "my data issue isn't all that important compared to my safety" and I walked out. After calling the agent who set up the appointment to register my complaint, I was then told that they do "curbside service," something I wasn't told prior. She came out to help me adjust my data plan, only for me to be unable to follow it through because my password is on a laptop at home 30 minutes away. It says on Verizon's website that "customers are required to wear a mask. Based on my brief encounter at the Berlin store, I reckon it'll be people like the 5 maskless young'ns who think they are immune or invincible that will ultimately ruin the lull in Vermont's experience of the pandemic. It's that kind of cavalier attitude that's wrecking our country at the moment. To top it off, I still can't figure out how to set up the auto-pay to get whatever discount Morgan was trying to set me up with. Pull your act together Verizon!!
