I set my standards to a different level when it comes to gas stations, I need to hear Hello, Thank You and Bye at all times. And with today's gas crisis, there are hundreds of stations that would love to take your money. I've walked into places near me that can save me a couple cents on a dollar, but you don't forget the prick behind the counter chomping on his gum, on the phone or whatever else he has to do. Bottom line if I'm heading their way, I will drive on fumes to get there. Because the simple recognition that I received from them has made me a Lifer! I've recommended this place to friends and family's, and sure enough that place is there first choice. They also keep their property clean at all times. No matter how late you go, you feel safe because they are alert of what happens on that lot. Once in awhile they will make sure you get to your car safely. They have now jacked it up to 1.59 for a large. It adds up when you buy one six days a week. Here it is a mere 1.79 for a 52 oz. iced tea. No you are not reading that wrong. That is a ten hour day fricking iced tea. Bargain! Best of all? I can add as much ice as I choose, no more begging for naught. My seventh tea? Gratis! Yeah, on the freaking house. Happiness. This tea is pretty dang tasty too. The staff here is consistently friendly and I have been here at all hours due to a rotating schedule. If you are going to become a regular then get a speedway card and you will get the freebie deals on more than just iced tea. Pop, snacks, tornadoes, hot dogs, egg rolls, you name it and the seventh is free. Yay! I do drive to either the Exxon or the Eagle station on Michigan Avenue for cheaper gas, Sinead is right. Between the uphill curve, hidden residential streets, and hidden cops, I've seen a lot of near-miss accidents. So, I guess you'll just have to learn the area and its dangers. First of all, how can a business employee people that don't know how to process rewards? Secondly, I normally stop either on my way to work or coming home. I purchase the same items all of the time. There's a sticker on the drink that says '2/$3.00 or $1.69 each. I've been charged a different price each night for a single drink. When I questioned the cashier about it she stated that she scanned it. I knew that, but that's not what the sticker says. Out of nowhere (because I'm not rude) she flashed a badge and indicated she used to be on the police force for 24 years. Okaaaay, I'm still wondering what that's supposed to mean unless she was working in a police officer's capacity at the store. I'm on 12hr shifts and didn't feel like going back/forth, but they're getting reported.
