OORRR, you could go the beautiful, relaxing, and clean Shell. Seriously, I didn't know it was possible to love a gas station this much. It's well-lit, large and spacious, and there's always an employee sweeping around the pumps. For someone who drives 500 miles a week, this is my second home. Happy pumping.

They have a beer cave. Lisa is an amazing manager and clearly knows how to hire mostly great customer service people. Nancy, Karen and Brenda are chatty and personable before you step up to the register. Sadly, one of the three musketeers has transferred to another store, but they are friendly, knowledgeable and quick to tell you about benefits and sales for the exclusive Giant Eagle card holders. The best part of this is the kitchen. Drew works most mornings and I had kicked the Starbucks habit but got sucked into coffee drinks again. Drew makes a great latte, its not just an instant, he pulls the shots and they have a flavor or two that Starbucks doesn't Its not starbucks quality but its close and for sure better than a gas station pot of coffee, but if you want that, they are constantly brewing that nd there is a HUGE amount of creamers and things to put in your plain old coffee. Step up to the touch screens and order your made to order sandwiches and breakfast products. Delicious. They used to slice the meats there, but Giant Eagle chose to go to pre-sliced everyrthing and I think the lunchmeat lost something, but the grilled chicken breast and steak are great choices too. I am not a heavy drinker by any means, but they have a big beer cave and a few of the employees are knowledgeable in the beer too. They don't just tell you the cheap one or the most expensive one, I got the kind of boutique help I wanted so I showed up at a party with something good or unique to drink, not garbage. Tonight, and another time about 3 months ago, their fuel pump said my fuel perks redemption was not available. I asked the clerk inside about it and they explained that I need to have made a purchase inside the store in the past to be allowed to redeem my perks. And it needs to be 24 hours after my purchase so I couldn't purchase something right there and then redeem my perks. That didn't work for me since my gas tank was already on fumes. Maybe this is a new policy since GetGo got bought by Circle K, but I don't think it's enforced at all GetGo as I've never bought anything inside the store at the Clintonville and Grandview GetGos and am still able to redeem my perks at those 2 locations. Also, it's silly to force me to buy a drink/snack/whatever at this GetGo since there's a Giant Eagle Market District literally in the same parking lot where the same items are cheaper and earns the same perks! I'll have to avoid this GetGo going forward.

It's located near a sports bar. This is a good place if you're looking for some craft beers. It could be the best gas station in the area. It's located near the railroad tracks on Scioto Darby Road. They're next to Nasty's Sports Bar. It's a fairly new gas station, so it's really clean inside. The craft beer selection includes Four String Brewery. It also has lots of other smaller breweries. They have many single cans. It also has Buzz Balls which are so good. There's lots of variety in this store. I would say Darby Sunoco is the best gas station in the area. Wasn't a tough thing to answer at all, but you would have thought so when the clerk WENT OFF on me when they told me "I can't answer that over the phone" and I said "why not" I will NEVER spend a dime in this place and from now on I will NEVER step foot in a Thornton gas station again, even though there is one in my neighborhood! Very disappointed customer!…read more Worst experience I've ever had at this place. Long story short, I purchased an item that turned out to be defective. I was told I could exchange it, so I opened the replacement item right there in front of the cashier to make sure it actually worked before leaving the store. I never left the building with the item, and the box was not damaged at all. After realizing the original item actually functioned better than the replacement, I simply asked if I could have the first one back instead. What should have been a simple customer service interaction turned into a loud argument in front of other customers. The store clerk ultimately threw the replacement item on the counter and told me to leave the store. In the end, I was still left accepting a poor-quality item even after trying to calmly resolve the issue. I truly hope the manager reviews the video footage from tonight so he can teach his employees a little professionalism and how to properly handle customer service situations when management isn't around. What makes this even more disappointing is that I've been coming to this store for well over a decade and have always been treated with kindness and respect. The cashier is usually a very friendly guy, which made tonight even more shocking. Instead of being treated like a loyal customer trying to resolve an issue with a defective product, I was treated like I was some kind of problem or inconvenience. Completely unacceptable.
