The donuts and pastries are rather expensive, and if you come later in the day the full selection is unavailable, and what is left looks picked over. Also they have quick foods. I have tasted their pizza and breakfasts sandwiches and while they are nothing to write home about, they are not bad either. The pizza has the time of day it was baked so you know how fresh it is, but they do cheat. For example, I am writing this review at 1:09PM , and the box of pizza I have in my hand says it was made at 1:26 PM. So be careful. Other than that... These QT's are popping up everywhere, and so far with competitive gas prices. Decent food, clean bathrooms and very noteworthy, bringing jobs to the neighborhood. At the time of writing this review, this is the last QT you'll come across on the stretch of I-85 in between Charlotte and the Piedmont Triad (Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem). If you're headed towards Charlotte from the Triad, it's the first QT you'll come across. Living in Atlanta the past 20 years, I've become a big fan of QT because their gas stations are typically big, thoughtfully laid out, brightly lit, relatively clean, and easy to navigate with plenty of pumps, parking spaces, and competitive fuel prices. Their convenience stores are also clean in addition to being well-stocked with hot-and-ready and made-to-order food and drink. The stores usually have plenty of adequately-trained and uniformed staff who are polite. In short, QTs beat your run-of-the-mill gas stations and convenience stores, many of which can be shoddy. Consider yourself lucky if you have them in your area. This QT on Lane Street is no exception. It's got 20 pumps for cars plus a separate fueling and parking area and store for semi-tractor-trailer trucks (not all QTs are truck stops like this one). I stopped by this QT on my way back to Atlanta from High Point to fill up and use the restroom. It was easy for me to find an open pump; it was clean, in good condition, and worked well; and the restroom was clean enough. If South Carolina is part of your route, then you should fill up at one of the many QTs along I-85 in South Carolina, if you can, because gas in South Carolina is cheaper. This is a good place to fill up between Charlotte and the Triad (Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point) and Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill). If traveling south past Charlotte and into South Carolina, I recommend waiting to fill up at a QT in South Carolina because the gas prices in South Carolina are better. For example, I drove from North Carolina to Georgia recently and stopped at this QT and then at another QT in South Carolina. The price difference per gallon of premium was $0.30. If traveling southbound, the first QT you'll come across in South Carolina is at I-85 exit 90 in Gaffney. As far as this QT goes, it's good, just like the vast majority of QTs. This one is on the larger side with 20 pumps at the station. The convenience store is Gen 3 (Generation 3, the latest design), which I believe all QT stores in North Carolina are. During my visit, the property was clean and felt safe and the staff was well-trained and polite. Like most QTs, this one was busy, but it wasn't too bad on a Thursday morning at 11:30am. This QT is situated at the entrance to Cloverleaf Plaza (shopping center with Roses, a store from my childhood) and directly across the street from Carolina Memorial Park (cemetery). I've been to a lot of QTs over the past two-plus decades (I'm a fan) and I'm pretty sure this is the first one I've been to that's next to a cemetery.

Before I get to the food, I have to recognize Michelle W. She was absolutely outstanding! She managed multiple customers at once with a smile, kept the line moving efficiently, and made everyone feel acknowledged. Employees like her make a lasting impression. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the service. I specifically asked for the brisket to be placed in a container with the bun packaged separately since I wouldn't be eating it until the following day. Other QuikTrip locations have always prepared it this way without any issues. When I opened my bag at work the next day, I found sliced bread with cheese instead of the roll that it is supposed to come with it. Even more disappointing, the amount of brisket was much smaller than what I've consistently received at other QuikTrip locations (posted pictures) Had they used the correct roll, there wouldn't have been nearly enough meat to fill it. The brisket itself still had the great flavor I expect from QuikTrip, but the incorrect order and skimpy portion made this visit a letdown. I hope this location can match the consistency I've experienced at other stores--especially because the customer service from Michelle W. was top-notch. The two stars go to Michelle W. The food that is prepared at sold took away the other three stars I would have given if I got what I ordered.
