The pump screens are in terrible shape and need replaced to eliminate the need to guess at the prompts. The inside of the establishment isn't horrible. You'll find a Subway sandwich shop and Dunkin Donuts, along with the normal assortment of C-store offerings and trucker needs. The restrooms were only moderately dirty. Bottom line is, you can find better places to fuel and/or grab a snack pretty much anywhere along the I-10 corridor. To add insult to injury, I noticed that diesel was .20-.30/gallon cheaper at the next several stations I passed. It's "travel centers" like this that make Buc-Ee's such a welcome sight!

There was this small " fridge" next to the soda machine and it had sandwiches and stuff... it was NOT cold, and THAT smell also made me want to vomit. I was so disgusted I couldn't keep it to myself. They are positive, helpful, and genuinely seem to care about their customers. They go out of their way to help. From their patience at Eat's Southern Cooking with a large order during their busiest morning time to one of their checkout clerks helping me to my car with my order, they make my visit a pleasure. That, in turn, makes me pass other closer gas stations to get to this one! In today's negative customer climate, thanks for your awesome customer service! While I'm on the subject, Eat's Southern Cooking is a gem. Located within the SunStop, they serve a traditional buffet-style country breakfast and lunch that is superior to many regular restaurants. From their egg casserole to their fried pork chops and fish, the entree selections encompass everything you could want and more! If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you are missing! So this review is less about the gas station and more about the Speedpass+ app that you can use to…read morepay. The gas station itself is your standard gas station. What sets it apart in this market is that it accepts the Exxon Speedpass+ mobile app. Here is what you do: Download the app to your phone (in my case, iPhone). Enter credit card info and whether you want to have receipts emailed to you, printed or both. That's it. Now go to this Exxon and open the app. If you have location services the app will tell you which gas station you are at and ask you for the pump number. If you don't see the pump number, no problem. The app will let you scan the QR code that is on the pump. Once you enter the pump number or scan the code, the app will authorize the pump and you are ready to pump your gas. When you are done fueling and put the nozzle back, your receipt will print or be emailed to you (in my case, both). That's it. Off you go. And the local station never has or sees your credit card. Genius. And the technology works!
