Can't go wrong with this Speedway. As one of few locations in Pataskala opened 24/7, it's a solid destination. Popular occurrences: -teenager pitstop for Slushies late at night, especially during summer -some of Pataskala's finest crackheads buying Juul pods or smoking out front -coffee addicts getting their fix from hours 9:00pm-9:00am -people actually crazy enough to purchase beef jerky at a price doubled of a grocery store Speedway is a landmark location in Pataskala, everyone's been there a time or two for different reasons and has seen something different each time they've visited. After reading a few reviews, I see some complaints about customer service. However, I have never had a problem with the staff- I find them to be kind and talkative people. As for the prices, if you've never been to Speedway expect to pay a little more for normal food/beverages than normal. Energy drinks and snacks are higher in price. Coffee and Slushies are relatively cheap, along with donuts. For it's location, it's a great place to stop and get gas if you're looking for a place to stop nearby the I-70 entrance/exit ramp. read more

Gary was working the register when I asked the lady how much the bags of salt cost, the sign says 99 and she didn't know so she asked Gary. Hey how much is the salt, he said I'll tell you how much it's not, it's not 99 cents. So Gary how much is it she asked, can't you read the sign says $99 as in a dollar shy of $100 bucks. I then replied thank you young lady and Gary I don't appreciate and I'm sure she doesn't appreciate you being a smart ass and walked out. This location was handy. I was running low on diesel fuel after filling up in Philadelphia, PA. I didn't think I could make it to Dayton, so I stopped here. From membership card to fill-up, things went smoothly. The fluid for cleaning the windows was empty, so I didn't bother to try to clean my windshield. People inside seemed okay, but not friendly. I think the bosses were there, so maybe they were all uncomfortable. Still, I got my Mountain Dew Code Red--one of the few places to get it now and not a bad price, unless you consider the price of a two litre isn't much more and has over double the drink. read more

When I go there in the morning, it is after 6 am and I work at a warehouse nearby. We been getting out a little later due to orders and I wanted to go there to get a breakfast sandwich, but after 6 am and none are out. I go to other speedways and they have theirs out before 5:30 am and many people start work around 6 am. What is odd is the others have like 2 or 3 people working and this place has like 5. I know they get busy in the morning, but with 5 people they should be able to get something done. I just wonder if something can be done so people who are in a rush to get to work can get a breakfast sandwich. read more

The cash price posted was not possible unless one has an affinity card. This means that even paying cash, I did not revive the lost price per gallon. The clerk said there is small print on the sign that the lower price just applies to card holders but there is no small print on the Sign. Very deceptive read more

The thing about realizing in the morning that you're out of coffee is, if you are someone like me who needs a cup for each eye, you really need a cup of coffee before contemplating going to the grocery for more coffee. Unfortunately for me, the only coffee shop in town I know of is Starbucks inside Kroger and that's a bit much to deal with for the above reasons. I tried to get my son to sleep, instead he put me to sleep so I woke up still wearing shoes and with a captain America figure and an owl on my face. That's not good sleep folks. Anyway, so I need coffee here. I absolutely hate most gas stations' coffee, the very thought of slightly burnt coffee that's been sitting there for hours, possibly filtered with repurposed pantyhose is enough to get me to consider tea. Usually when this happens I'll get myself together and just get a small can of whatever coffee they sell and go back home and make some but I have no idea where my regular coffee maker is, and the little basket for non-Keurig coffee is missing. Ugh. So I decide to go ahead and go to Speedway for coffee. I've had coffee there before and it wasn't terrible, for a bit there they had Brazilian coffee even, so I convinced myself to go. Wouldn't you know, I got there and a pot was just finished brewing! Well, it's a gas station so there's not much to say about it other than the wait staff at the counters inside are quite friendly and helpful. Due to its location right off of I-70 though, the gas is usually the most expensive on the entire east and north side of Columbus but it's right by my house so I use the hell out of this place. read more

I`m 53 years old. Couldn't buy cigs at this store because I would not let them scan my State Drivers License on their computer/register. Showed clerk the I.D. Said they could read it but not to scan it. Clerk refused to sell cigs because I wouldn't let him scan the I.D. You have not only ruined your business but the business for all of SpeedWay as I will not let anyone scan my I.D. unless they are the police. This store now makes me question them as to what other crooked/questionable practices that are being done. read more
