It's a gas station, so, there is that. But, if you go inside it's a whole different story. They…read morerecently, I guess, had a change of ownership. When I walked in, there was nothing in the store. Nothing! No shelves, no products, no drinks in the coolers, nothing. They said they were getting new suppliers for their products. And they said they should be back up and open again by that Thursday. We are about 2 1/2 months later, and they're just starting to get back to where they were before the changeover. But now there's a new wrinkle with that store. Now if you use your debit or credit card there is a five dollar minimum. In 2017, these guys want a five dollar minimum for credit card purchase? So if I want a coffee, that would only cost me three bucks at a Stewart's shop, I have to buy a candy bar or something too? And that actually did happen to me there. I bought a Monster, and I had to get a couple other things. I'm payed back so I rolled with it. But if they have to charge five dollars minimum transaction for a credit or debit card, they really need to find another bank to handle their transactions. Because if they are getting high fees for taking credit and debit cards, then they are getting ripped off. It could also be because they haven't upgraded to be able to take chip cards or NFC tap payments yet. I don't see why they haven't as it's more secure. The majority of their customers, and this is an educated guess, use credit and debit cards for everyday purchases. With the wide selection of banks available and even new start ups like square and clover, fees can be very minimal for taking credit and debit cards. Don't get me wrong, I'll still get my gas there, but when it comes to getting drinks or anything else, I won't be going inside. I'll go back to stopping at Stewart's to get my Monster or Energy drinks.
