When I walked in, there was nothing in the store. Nothing! No shelves, no products, no drinks in the coolers, nothing. They said they were getting new suppliers for their products. And they said they should be back up and open again by that Thursday. We are about 2 1/2 months later, and they're just starting to get back to where they were before the changeover. But now there's a new wrinkle with that store. Now if you use your debit or credit card there is a five dollar minimum. In 2017, these guys want a five dollar minimum for credit card purchase? So if I want a coffee, that would only cost me three bucks at a Stewart's shop, I have to buy a candy bar or something too? And that actually did happen to me there. I bought a Monster, and I had to get a couple other things. I'm payed back so I rolled with it. But if they have to charge five dollars minimum transaction for a credit or debit card, they really need to find another bank to handle their transactions. Because if they are getting high fees for taking credit and debit cards, then they are getting ripped off. It could also be because they haven't upgraded to be able to take chip cards or NFC tap payments yet. I don't see why they haven't as it's more secure. The majority of their customers, and this is an educated guess, use credit and debit cards for everyday purchases. With the wide selection of banks available and even new start ups like square and clover, fees can be very minimal for taking credit and debit cards. Don't get me wrong, I'll still get my gas there, but when it comes to getting drinks or anything else, I won't be going inside. I'll go back to stopping at Stewart's to get my Monster or Energy drinks.

But otherwise, I found this station to be okay. Since I used my mom's car for business expenses for GrubHub, I had to repay her some gas money, so I picked up one gallon of gas, which despite GasBuddy's claim of five cents off per gallon, it took 4 cents off the gallon I paid for. I'd been looking for gas for the longest time, but didn't expect it to happen here. With GasBuddy, I could only pay as a pay-at-the-pump transaction which was okay. I don't know what provoked me not to get a receipt for my purchase here. I knew my mom was going in to put money on her Speedway Gas Card and came out shortly as I was finishing, but i just had this weird feeling for this place. It's clean at the pumps but it's never used by us at the right time.

Thankfully, it was clean enough yesterday....but a couple of months ago....not so much. Restroom could definitely use an update (and more regular cleanings). The gas pumps work consistently and are well maintained. The small Dunkin' Donuts has a decent selection of items and friendly service. Drive through is a nice option as well. I tasted one of the breakfast sandwiches yesterday and it was better than any egg McMuffin that I've had. Items in the convenience store area are limited, but it's fine for what...and where...this place is. Right off exit 10 of route 90 heading east, it's super easy to get in and out quickly.
