if I could give these guys a negative zero review I would. I had my van towed there and they didn't even look at it or try to start it in anyway after overheating. They immediately told me I needed a new carburetor before that they could even figure out what the real problem is then he continue to tell me that the carburetter alone just the part is $1300. That is a total scam and they're just trying to take advantage of me because I'm a woman. My boyfriend called them afterwards and they had a different story. THEN they made me wait for a few more hours only to wait for their call they hadn't even looked at it again they were waiting for me to say yes to the part before they looked any further . I'll take it to somebody else trustworthy and that you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Total waste of time and a tow this is such a bullshit shop They didn't even look at it for 20 minutes before they try to charge me $1000 on top of what the cost is not to mention all the labour on top of that and then God knows what else they would've told me I needed replacing too. after I told them I know how much a new carb costs they were so rude to me didn't even put my doghouse back on properly and damaged my rug I custom put in there that I specifically asked them to please be careful with. it's a custom boogie van. do not let these guys scam you especially if you're a woman. they should be ashamed of themselves . All the guys at Lordco laughed when I told them that and said wow what a joke as well as the other mechanic shops I contacted too. that is outrageous he said the PART ALONE 1300$. not cost of labour and then adjusting it would be all on top of that lol fuck these guys . He even said he could possibly rebuild it it might be slightly cheaper lmao at lordco it's a 350 part And I doubt I even need one. read more

They did my brakes, pads rotors and calipers. Within 6 months a caliper was leaking going down the highway. I went in for them to inspect and then repair for free, but they told me there was no problem. I went to parkside (I recommend them) who confirmed the issue. I went back with the confirmation of the issue and now they agree and repair. At the 13 month mark my other caliper starts leaking. I go in, and they'll do the repair but I'll have to pay labor because it's more than a year. I don't even trust them to do the work. I could have and should have done it all myself initially, I'm paying for my laziness still. This is all on top of their general untrustworthiness. I would expect that if you went in to a mechanic for an issue and what you thought was wrong was not actually wrong, then they would tell you and not do the work and charge you for it. Speedy are not a good mechanic like that. They'll happily take your money. They changed my steering pump at my request when the issue was actually the shaft bearing being rusty. read more

Give me a BRAKE.... some BRAKES......any BRAKES Speedy Auto Victoria BC : Owner Get out and never come back we can't fix your brakes take it somewhere else.... Next day took Toyota Corolla to the Toyota dealer says the brake shoe material by Speedy is too hard and won't cause enough friction to stop the car and they thought it felt like we had no brakes at all. Toyota replaced the brake shoes. The shoes from Toyota are less expensive than the defective ones from Speedy but my expense for labour and to machine the drums again. I guess the shoes damaged the drums even though there is a life time warranty is on the shoes. In total that is Speedy.. new drums, machined drums, replaced drums, Toyota machined drums and replaced the shoes advising the shoes are very poor quality. Speedy (western Canada ) offered about 1/2 of the cost of repairing their mess and if we sell them the Toyota invoice for 1/2 our cost they may attempt to get the rest from some manufacturer some day after we return the shoes. We refused as we should not have to pay to train them on what parts to use when we gave them many opportunities to do the right thing but they save money if they send you somewhere else. The brake shoes supposedly had a life time warranty at Speedy but Speedy refused to look at the problem. Go somewhere else to get them fixed. Never come back to Speedy says the so called owner. 5th Next day took to Toyota Victoria - replaced brake shoes, machined drums . Immediate appointment for brakes. $ 372.19 Pedal travels all the way down and wheel almost stops. I needed and oil change and a diagnosis of what was wrong with my lights (my brights would come on when I would use my turn signal). I agreed over the phone on a price of $59.99 for oil change and simple diagnosis. When we got the phone call that our car was finished we were told the tire needed to be repaired and that I could use a new air filter. Upon picking up the car the bill was $163. The tire was repaired without my consent and a new air filter was put in. I could have got the tire fixed at canadian tire for free because I have warranty on my tires from there. If you choose to go to speedy auto make sure you are clear on what you want them to do because they will fix things that don't need to be fixed and expect you to pay for everything they choose to add on. read more

A friend told me to go there and yes they were nice people but have no clue what they are doing. I went in for a buying a new car special(There words) and they insured me that everything would be checked. They come back and let me know that all the lights in the interior work and all the power options work,(Wow, two things that anyone could check). I then ask him about how the clutch was and he said "Well you did drive it didn't you,you should know" then i asked him about the brakes and he said that the rear driver side needed to be replaced, the old timer at the desk said after checking the computer that the part was 250 dollars, so i bought the car because of his estimate of repair bills. I turn around and get them to do the work and the mechanic came up to me and said that that caliper is hard to get and usually cost 350-400 dollars,(Yes they really got me by the balls). I ask the guy why the old guy quoted such a low price, he said "He's not really a mechanic he just works part time at the desk" They finally get the part in and install it and i am on my way. I would like to finish the story here but later on about a month later i am painting my rims and go to the only wheel that Speedy touched and try to loosen the nuts on the wheel and i find out that the kid in the shop over torqued the nuts on my wheel. I broke my Mazda socket trying to get it off, i finally had to get a torch to get it off. Helping people to buy new cars Speedy, more like inspecting nothing and feeding customers to bad cars because they want to line there own pockets. Don't Go To Speedy On Douglas St!!! read more

Went in for repair work and later discovered that they had put the rear brakes in backwards, misaligned, and did not bleed them even though it clearly states on the paperwork that they did. Dangerously incompetent. read more
