My mom recently wanted to SPEEDY CASH this past Tuesday because I called ahead of time for her to inquire about the fact that they do income tax return because my boyfriend has gone in there to have his income tax return done, which I had no idea that they actually did this. So she went in there this past Tuesday to have him do it for her fill out all the information then to be told that they needed her actual physical Social Security card not a Xerox copy of it. Not for her to give them her actual Social Security number, but they want the actual card itself. Sounds a little suspicious to me. So she then asked them to write up all the information that she had filled out left and I called the customer service to find out what's going on and why they're telling her this whether they're even asking her for this they have no idea that they even did this at all. They are completely clueless. This is the fact that you were offering to do people's income tax returns. But the matter of fact that you ask for someone physical, Social Security card is very offputting, suspicious, and rather shady. So if you're looking to do other types of business with them, such as money orders alone that type of thing fine but don't go in there asking them to do your income tax return for you because they have no idea what they're doing they give you wrong information and they're completely clueless read more

The customer service wasn't a problem for me... However, they need to really stop doing business with Equifax because they have been in trouble and sued for identity theft. I couldn't get a much needed first time loan due to Equifax lying about not being able to identify me. They've also lied to me about the reason I didn't get approved for the loan. Someone had put store credits with my ssi and Equifax lied to me saying it's not showing up ok their end!!!! So if it wasn't showing up why when I call I hear charges about account that I've NEVER open!??? Speedy cash and other loan business really need to look into the fraudulent history of Equifax because they are the main reason on why people can get turned down for a loan.. read more

NOT BEING THERE. 2. Not passing on my information to a co-worker. 3. Telling me I was "Already Approved" when I was not. My visit to Speedy Cash on 2/11 was a very bad experience. First, my friend who was helping me pay the loan tried to use the ATM on the premises. Not only would it not give the money, it flagged her card for fraud, which caused her to have to call the company to unblock it. This took a very long time. She tried the card after it was unblocked and it STILL would not give her money. We went across the street to the 7/11 and got the cash, no problem. Take that ATM out or make it work. There is no excuse for such shenanigans. I was so embarrassed. Now, I go to pay off my loan, which btw I have to pay the entire amount. There is no option for me to pay the interest and then just roll the loan to the next month. This is just stupid business practice on the part of Speedy Cash. I have a very long track record with you, giving you ridiculous interest, on time, every month almost. Now, the person who's supposed to be giving me a good service experience (Esmeralda, red lipstick) demands that I produce a paycheck stub. She says this is new policy. I'm an actor, I get paid randomly during the month. I don't have a pay stub with me. She then demands that I give her the sign on and password to my bank account, which she will then sign onto and print out my Jan statement. THIS IS NOT NOW OR WILL EVER BE ACCEPTABLE. Esmeralda now has my account access. I got so angry I did not flip the loan as I planned. My friend, who is a very wealthy programmer, just said to pay them back when I could. I'm mortified! Ok, now. I dig up a current pay stub and go back on 1/13. The person I talk to DOES NOT NEED THE PAY STUB. Either Esmeralda was LYING or she doesn't know what she's doing. I get the money with no hassle what so ever. If i were Speedy Cash, I'd get rid of Esmeralda ASAP. She's poison. read more

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. I was getting a money order and they tried to short me $500. Good thing I counted. When confronted, they played dumb and offered no apologies. I had the worse hurtful expericence at your location on Venice near overland in California today. I went in to get my checked cashed and was turned away because they felt as if my check was fake and my employer didn't exist. I work for LA deli and the address on my check of for our new building that just moved to California. I gave them the office number to verify the check and there is even a number in the check it self and they refused to call. One of the workers stated that "their people don't make that much money so I'm not cashing it anyways" referring to me being African American. Not all of us Depend on government assistance. Unlike some people I work hard for the money I make. I usually don't go to check cashing places with my checks but it's Sunday and all the banks are closed and I needed cash right away I didn't have a dime in my pocket and I had just paid back a loan that I had with you guys so I deal with this company often. I have a newborn baby and the workers there didn't seem to care at all. I will never do service at another speedy cash ever in life again. He answered all of my questions with patience and empathy. Then I arrived to obtain a prepaid debit card and he was unavailable due to helping other customers in the store. These people strung me along for over a week after I told them I needed a installment loan, not a payday loan because a payday loan would not be enough money to help me. After I sent them all my personal information a bank statement a utility bill my ID and Social security number I spent days with these crooks all the while thinking they were going to lend me $2,600. They inform that they could only approve me for a payday loan. I made it clear from the start I couldn't do anything with $255. I needed a minimum of a thousand and that was cutting it close. I understand that companies are in business to turn a profit and I also understand that places such as Speedy Cash are a very expensive method of obtaining money. I don't get however how Speedy Cash can ethically rob people financially the way this company does, get away with this robbery legally and is allowed to stay in business and continue to rob people every day. In October 2014 I got a $9,300 loan from that company. For the next 8 months I made my payments on time and paid an additional $500 extra (on top of my payments). In July 2015 my receipt showed that my loan balance was now $8,549.87. I decided to pay off my loan in full. That's when hell broke loose. Not only did the store manager who up to that point had been nice, extremely arrogant, borderline rude, my loan balance according to her wasn't $8,549.47 but $9541.20. She explained that the balance printed on my loan was correct but that number referred only to the principal balance, not the interest and that this amount was accruing interest at the rate of $22.2 per day. Since my last payment as of June 2015, that amount had accrued an additional nine hundred something in interest, bringing my actual loan balance to $9541.20. I tried making sense of her explanation and asked her to repeat it several times. The more I asked, the more arrogant she became. I had enough of the clerk's attitude and the company's money gouching operation and decided to pay off my balance and be done with it once and for all. I was then told I had to pay my entire balance in cash. To date I have no clue what happened with the extra money I paid in and why that was not deducted from my loan principal. My advice: If you really need a hard loan and you have no other choice but to use one of those payday advance companies, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE use Speedy Cash. They are crooks; thieves who found a way to rob people legally. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED by a real customer of Speedy Cash. Don't use this company. You WILL end up regretting it. read more
