So I use to go to the other location in El Cajon. I really got tired of the bad customer service. I came to the location at 6686 El Cajon Blvd store number 302 and hector and avaro were so kind and approachable ! I come here every 2 weeks and in between the 2 weeks to cash my commissions check so customer service for me is a huge deal. Avaro and hector are amazing ..customer service was amazing and they were so helpful and I felt welcomed! This is my new branch to come to and I will be sending my coworkers to this branch as week!! A deceiving staff. I spoke with two separate individuals, the last one was the GM (Alina) of the store, to my inquiry about the required docs. for a loan, both repeatedly indicated the only requirements was the driver's license and a check, that was all. Once at the location, they ask me to fill a form, reluctantly I did, they asked to contact my bank to confirm my ID, after which they asked for additional information such a credit report, which never came in ALL the conversations. When I demanded an explanation why asking for documents in bits and pieces, the answer I received from the manager is that if they were to ask form from the beginning people may not show up. After a long drive an hour long arguing I terminated the request and the return of the application and documentation submitted, which they refused to do. I have always gone to the Elcajon City on Broadway and the young Hispanic girl that worked there did not want to help me. She claimed my phone didn't work when she called it, but I called my family and my phone rang and I answered it. I feel like she has a racial problem and she didn't wanna help me because of racism. This place is bad. In order to get a payday loan they do a hard credit check on you as if you were applying for a credit card. If you have worked on your credit score as hard as I had, this is a terrible way way to loose points and not worth for a $255 loan. On top of that you still have to provide other all other documents such as bank statement, paystub, ID, a check etc. When I called to ask what I needed to apply for a loan they did not mention they would be running my credit, I wish they did, as they would have saved me the 10 mile drive. read more

Nowadays you have to stand in line, get a form, get out of line, fill out the form, then stand back in line until you are called. Things happen, very understanding until they keep tapping your account. Your account that in likelihood is INSUFFICIENT FUNDS, so you try and go to office to pay cash. As long as they keep trying to tap your account costing you on your end, you can't pay this loan off with cash until this action subsides. Leaving your ability to take the loan back out until you catch your timing in between this action. It must mean they are are low on cash. I am going in today offer them a partial then closing out my business with them next paycheck as it is Saturday and I can't pay back loan at earliest Monday. I appreciate the way she addresses me by my name. Ms. Y because she knows that I am an older woman. They are more than glad to offer you a payday loan anytime you are prompt paying it back. I knew I was going to pay high interest but what they never told me is that the first 5 payments was just for them. NOT A PENNY WENT TOWARDS MY LOAN. HORRIBLE. I'd rather panhandle for $100 bucks I was going to take for the next 4 days. Even worse, after deciding not to use the service, they would not return my information. They have retained my SSN and the contact information of two of my personal references! When I called to see what documents I might need, CRYSTAL (the same portly Mexican woman referenced in another review left on here recently) told me I didn't need to bring anything more than an ID, and that I could use their computers for everything else. I get there, and the keyboards don't fit under the windows so I can't. I suggested using the on screen keyboard and young black woman (who was far less rude but still an apathetic waste of space) slid the mouse. Unfortunately their computers didn't seem to have that feature. When I later asked for that to access through a different way, it was suddenly against policy to slide a mouse under... although a keyboard still would have been OK if they could do it... but they can't of course. This place is horrible, l got a loan from them, signed all the paperwork, the customer assistance "RUDE", added two sheets to my contract that we never went over, it was in the back, stapled on after she gave me the money.... This showed l was going to pay (5) months of free money to them, nothing going to my principle, this wasn't discuss with me, if l would have known l wouldn't have taken the loan.... When l went to pay the loan off, in a one month period, l had to pay 300.00 extra, the loan was for 2600..... On the contract it states that you'll get some of you interest back for early payback... While I'm at the window waiting to complete the process, the girl is on her cell phone walking around( instead of assisting me) I'm annoyed at this point and thanking God there is a bullet proof window because I didnt feel like catching a case today. Absolutely TERRIBLE. Let me start off with their customer service. I've encountered 1 or 2 people who were just "meh, nothing special", the rest were down right embarrassing. So right off the bat, they need to retrain their employees. I get that you're stuck behind that window for 8 hours a day, but that's not my problem. So a smile or friendly tone wont kill you. Next off: Wrong information. I was told by numerous people that I could set up payments on my payday loan with NO penalties, and that it would be set up in 4 equal payments. So of course, that's what I went in to do. What does the clerk tell me? I have to let me loan get returned by my bank for NSF ($30 fee) and then put myself in bad standing with them. THEN, I have to pay a $15 processing fee or whatever to even set up the payments. And on top of the now $45 fee to set up payments, it's 3 payments of $105, as opposed to ~$75 (what I budgeted for). Now here's the kicker: IT TOOK THEM 2 WEEKS TO EVEN PROCESS MY LOAN. I called back every few days to check the status of my loan and they kept saying "Call tomorrow. Check on Wednesday. Call Friday. Well now it's the weekend, check on Monday." So fast forward to the day I pay my first payment. I pay it online, it clears through my bank, everything is fine. A couple days later I get a call claiming that I NEVER MADE A PAYMENT. And even though I have it in my bank records that I did, they still didn't honor it!!! So I had to physically go in and pay ANOTHER $105. So now I'm down $105 and don't know where the hell it went. That's just great. But oh hey! It gets even better. Fast forward again to the present. I made my second payment of $105 (for a total of $210 towards my $315 loan, in case you're lost) and everything goes smoothly. Perfect. I'm happy. THEN, I get a letter in the mail today saying that I still owe $210!!!!!! And if I don't pay today it's going to go to a collection agency?!???? OH. MY. GOD. So after sitting on hold for 17 minutes, Brenda (the only positive customer service person I've dealt with through this whole thing), tells me that it says my payments were never posted. THATS $315 TOTAL THAT HAS JUST GONE MISSING. WHAT IN THE F*** IS GOING ON. Long story short, she takes care of it, and I'm good to go. But all this hassle for a loan? Screw that. I'm never taking one out from them ever again. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

The manager of this place needs some SERIOUS training in management. My boyfriend went into pay with my DEBIT card intending to use my PIN. As anyone in business knows, this does NOT require an ID. After rejecting payment from my boyfriend, I called and spoke to the poor excuse of a manager who ARGUED with me back and forth about how I needed to come in and show ID. I informed him that according to THE LAW that if a transaction is made with a debit card and PIN, NO ID is required. We went back and forth and it got really heated. I asked for his supervisor's number and was told it would take 24-48 hours to get a response ( unacceptable). After him getting frustrated with me several times and continuously hanging up on me, he then FINALLY mentions an 800 number I MAY be able to call and make a payment on. I asked him why he didn't give that information to my boyfriend while he was there AND why did he waited until things got heated with us until he offered the number and he refused to apologize for not offering the info sooner that may have avoided the conflict. But get THIS!!!....my boyfriend went back with cash and asked if they even took debit transactions in the first place and guess what... THEY DON'T!!!! So this "manager" was arguing with me the whole freaking time about showing ID for a DEBIT transaction when they don't even TAKE debit transactions!!!! THEY ONLY TAKE CREDIT!!!! I deserve an ENORMOUS apology from him and the female that was working with him answering the phones because she also had a HUGE attitude. Employees should know that even if a customer is disgruntled it is their job to not only TAKE IT but to APOLOGIZE when they make a mistake...ESPECIALLY managers. I am not happy about having to write this because taking out the actual loan was pleasant. I took one out paid it back, easy process, pleasant people. Took another one out unfortunately due to the mortgage that was debited I was short and the funds returned. I called speedy cash to let them know I would be paying it next paycheck as not only do I have a small amount of bills to pay but I will also have my bonus check, so there would be more than enough funds left over. The lady I was transferred to had an attitude and spoke like she thought I was going cut and run. Asking why it defaulted and did any of my other bills default . Asking for my employers address and phone number when I had given that information when I first applied. There was no warmth or understanding in her voice and she was customer service? I CALLED YOU TO SET UP A PAYMENT THAT SHOWS INTENT TO PAY! After next week I am done with them. They lost my business. Terrible customer service.
