I also like that even at a lesser fee you don't have to sacrifice quality of instruction. My kids loved their driving experience with Neil than with us or the other driving school instructor. 5-star learning experience with Nick!…read more I'm 27 years ago and have always been super anxious about driving so I never actually learned how to. I'm glad I found Nick and the Pennsylvania Driving School. I passed the road test on my first try with Nick's help! He is really patient, understanding, and supportive. He taught me how to not only pass the test but also know how to drive safely and confidently in the long run. He'd pick me up on time for every lesson, go over the car dashboard controls, let me practice driving especially right/left turns, and explain what to do in certain scenarios. He has a foolproof method for parallel parking that I was able to understand and succeed at right away. I took the test with him as well and I'm glad I did. He picked me up at 6:30 in the morning and drove me to the test site to practice on the exact routes that the test would be on. I finished everything and got my driver's license at 9am! I never thought this day would come but I'm proud of myself for overcoming my driving anxiety. I feel like he's condescending at times, but I wanted to learn so I suck it up. I took 3 lessons with them and I still feel like I can barely drive. Lesson 1 - Dave picked me up and asked if I know any empty parking lots near me. He spent 1 hr 30mins just telling me where are the 12 blind spots on the car, the controls in the car and explaining the details of the RECEIPT!!! 30mins driving around and around a parking lot. Lesson 2 - Dave picked me up and finally found a better parking lot. Spent 30mins going through everything he told me on the first lesson. 30mins driving around the parking lot. 50mins finally driving on the road! Lesson 3 - Dave picked me up and took 30mins to find a good place to practice (back to the same parking lot). Spent 30 mins in the parking lot trying some angle parking. 1hr on the road. No parallel parking just because there's snow on the curb. After 3 lessons (6 hrs) I expect to know more about driving and parking. I feel that there's a lot of wasted time on my dime.

Last year, after my older daughter turned 16, I called several driving schools and actually the…read moreonly ones who reliably answered their phone was Safety First. Asking around, I heard some others from Princeton who used them, so we went ahead and booked with them. My daughter had the same instructor for all three of her lessons. He was always on time and everything went fine. All lessons were scheduled within a 5 or 6 day window at the end of July (about a week after I called them initially). When we called back to schedule someone in April to take her for her road test on her 17th birthday, her prior instructor was no longer with them due to illness. Someone else took her and she did fine - she passed and he'd given her the added tip of getting the QLess app so that by the time she passed the road test, she was 10th on the 'line' in the dmv building - she would have been 56th! So she was dropped back at school that day with her license in hand, on her 17th birthday. Only drawback was that they did sometimes pick up or drop off another student at the end or beginning of a lesson. There was another woman with them on the day of the test as well - also taking her test. Additionally, the lessons were cut a little shorter than the 2 hours, but driving is exhausting when you are first learning, so neither my daughter nor I really had any complaints about that. They covered all the basics - stop, start, reverse, k-turn, parallel, highway . . .

I got flipped off after honking at him. This person should not be teaching anybody driving, and I certainly wouldn't trust this person behind the wheel, especially with my teen.
