My youngest was only there for about six months, but in that short time she learned so much -- singing her ABCs, counting, naming colors, and even identifying emotions! Ms. Amy and Ms. RiRi were amazing with her, and she adored going to school every morning. My 3-year-old had Ms. Rosie for a bit, who was so warm and engaging -- she even taught her how to "boop," which she still does to people to this day! Then she moved on to Ms. Abby and Ms. Mary, who are both phenomenal teachers and truly loved by all the kids (especially my daughter -- they were her favorites!). The front office staff was always welcoming, accommodating, and communicative. The daycare itself is clean, organized, and full of fun, creative activities. One thing I really appreciated is that there wasn't a lot of staff turnover, which made it feel more like a family. We had to move, otherwise we'd still be there. We miss the teachers and the community so much. If you're considering enrolling -- take a tour, and see for yourself!

My experience with this daycare was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, concerning. After taking a tour, I followed up with the principal and received no response for nearly two weeks. I had to go out of my way to track down enrollment staff just to get basic questions answered. Even then, communication was disorganized and incomplete. No one followed up with me on pending items. I had to keep reaching out myself just to get updates. What made this experience worse was the final response: I was told the classroom "may not be a good fit," with absolutely no clear or professional explanation as to why. After being ignored, having to chase down information, and then receiving a vague dismissal, the entire situation felt dismissive and questionable. As a single parent and a person of color, this experience did not feel equitable or respectful. At best, this reflects extremely poor communication and lack of professionalism. At worst, it raises concerns about bias in how families are treated.

The infant room, led by Ms. Alisha, Ms. Betty and Ms. Eunice, is the best! They all love and care for the babies as if they were their own. They do SO MANY different activities and even include them during scheduled STEM, Spanish and music time. Every other teacher and administrator we have interacted with had always been a positive experience. They know all the children by name and make you feel like you're at home. We are really grateful for everyone there and look forward to seeing our daughter grow at Paragon.

At my child's last daycare, she would come home with stains all over her clothes and the bathwater would be so murky it was appalling. Having a smaller classroom and a dedicated teacher has really helped. A special shoutout to the director, Connie, who is truly the heart of the facility. She is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and approachable. From the first day, she has made us feel welcome and heard. Connie somehow knows every child by name and always takes the time to check in with both parents and kids. It's clear that she genuinely cares about each family and works hard to make the daycare a safe, nurturing environment. I've even bumped into her at our local HEB while she was buying snacks for the kids and I swear she works over 40 hours a week since she is always there no matter what time I drop off or pick up. They do not answer their phones. 2. They are vague via email. 3. Can guarantee you as the parent, will have more professionalism and better customer service than whoever responds to email inquiries. The phone thing, I do not get it and do not agree. This was the ONLY childcare facility that did not answer their phones once in the dozen times that I called looking for information. Every single other daycare I shopped (over a dozen) either picked up the phone or called me back. How can a childcare facility not answer their phone? I digress I had to ask whoever was responding via email if they weren't enrolling because they did not come out and say it, I also had to ask about a waitlist because this information was not offered (emails to be posted). When I reached out to this facility I let them know what the situation was the response was "we are not enrolling for that program at this time". I was asking about part time, no information on full time was given, nothing about a waitlist (I still don't know the answer about a waitlist because they never responded) Customer service is easy, offer all of the information up front and answer any questions. I asked for a phone call, I let them know I may be misunderstanding their tone, none of this was ever addressed or answered. I wanted to go with this facility because it worked for our price point, schedules, and location. However, if this were the last childcare facility accepting in Austin I would not choose to use them. They don't answer the phone or return calls and seem pretty subpar at answering emails. I'm not usually one to leave a review in this regard however, I feel it important to parents looking for a school for their children to know that they are incredibly unresponsive. Not something that you want to be when taking care of children. I sincerely hope that no one else encounters the same frustrations.

My son's vocabulary is more advanced than my oldest was at this age. He is very talkative and active and I attribute that to the environment here. We are moving to Georgetown and I'm seriously considering driving all the way here to continue his care. Communication has been timely and clear, no mixed messages or anything. There has been some turnover, but they are doing the best they can to keep things running smoothly. I can't imagine it's easy to hang on to staff in the world we're currently living in. The SproutAbout app is really helpful as well. I get insight into how much my daughter has eaten, how long her naps are, and I can log in and watch what's going on in the classroom.

The teachers are top rate at this location and many of them have over 10 years of experience with CCY. I wasn't enthusiastic about the management when my older son first started but Ms. Yolanda, Ms. Anna, Mr. Joey, and Mr. Paul have been my favorite team over the past two years. I feel that they genuinely care about my kids and they are communicative if I have any questions or concerns. My older son always enjoyed the theme days and special events like Splash Day and the Kona Ice truck over the summer. I was nervous with my younger son starting at just 3-months-old in Infant 1 but he got a lot of one-on-one attention even in a group setting. I look forward to him growing up at CCY and working with a lot of the same teachers who took care of his big brother. What's so great? 1) Small groups with a low child-to-teacher ratio. During our week, there were approximately 8-10 kids and almost always 2 or more counselors at each outing. The curriculum has an educational/health & fitness focus, and the well-trained counselors are managed by a certified teacher (Tammy) who is often present during the week. 2) Exercise & being outdoors. The kids are moving most of the day, walking around town to see the sights, playing on splash pads & playscapes, or taking a hike. ATX Kids like to move it, move it! 3) Being a tourist in your own city. The kids (ages 4 - 12) learn to use public transportation and recognize city landmarks while exploring many of the cool destinations available in their hometown. During our week in Summer 2016, our child toured several art museums and historical sites, visited a few parks and walked urban trails. A highlight at the end of the week was visiting the Governor's Mansion and having snack time with the First Dog of Texas, Pancake. 4) Supporting a community-based, local nonprofit. ATX Kids Club offers discounts for children whose families might otherwise be unable to afford this kind of summer camp. They also serve as a CCMS provider through the Texas Workforce Commission. 5) Having a "normal workday" schedule for a reasonable fee. Summer camp hours are 9a-5p ($275/wk), and you can add extended care for 8a-6p for an additional fee ($65/wk). This is such a relief compared to other summer camps that require parents to juggle work hours for drop-off and pickup. I do recommend the extended care unless you work very close to the drop point. Downtown rush hour traffic is horrific! It was fun for us to see the play-by-play pictures of the kids in action on the ATX Kids Club FB page each day, confirming that our child was enjoying camp and making new friends. We're looking forward to signing up for Summer 2017, as well as trying out some of the school holiday and Saturday adventures later this year.

Ms. Annette really cares about the families who attend the school and she creates a positive environment for the kids. The Pre-K graduation was SO well done and the kids had a blast. I felt they went above and beyond and continue to create exciting things for the kids to look forward to (splash day, holiday parties, etc) Ms. Emmy, Ms. Perla, Ms. Maritza, Ms. Michelle and Ms. Diana are wonderful! My daughter comes home with stories of what she did with her teachers that day and it makes me happy knowing she is being well taken care of. We are so sad that our daughter will be leaving for Kindergarten but they have done an amazing job getting her ready!
