Very fun, nice, conveniently located waterpark in Round Rock! Excellent place to kick off summer and enjoy a day out with the family. Friendly for kids of all ages with different sections offering slides, a lazy river, wave pool, and experiences for all age groups. My daughters (ages 7 and 3) particularly loved the kids slide section and the wave pool. I did see quite a few dead bugs and leaves in the lazy river and wave pool which was a little off putting. They have lockers to store belongings, as well as clean bathrooms and changing rooms onsite. They also offer a variety of food choices which are pretty good & reasonably priced. Very few crowds if you arrive right at opening time. I was happy to see there were no lines at all for the slides. They open a half hour early for season pass members; general admission is 11am. Definitely worth checking out for a day of family fun in the hot TX summer! read more

What an improvement! The park was cleaner, felt safer, there was more staff and everyone seemed much friendlier. Prices haven't changed much which was shocking considering the cost of everything else on the planet has gone up. We had an amazing time. The wave pool didn't seem to be working but it was one small hiccup in an otherwise great day. Two areas it would be great to see more improvement: I do wish they'd offer free ice and/or the ability to bring in more water or that they'd offer water stations. Water gets too hot, too fast and people shouldn't have to pay for that over and over. I also wish they would require everyone in the lazy river to be on tubes. There were people walking through it? Kids were wildly chasing each other, swimming under people, jumping off tubes. It just wasn't safe. We will be back and it was great to see things better at TT! read more

I just wanted to say that I've visited this place a few times but yesterday Saturday June 21st there was a shining star at the patio bar. TIM WAS AMAZING. As a previous bar manager and manager at an entertainment facility this is the kind of employee I'd be looking to keep or promote. There was a time where the bar was completely stacked, people were yelling and demanding things and Tim kept a cool head and powered through. We appreciate your service and hard work balancing a company party and they normal park patrons. For future reference for Typhoon I would suggest for a company party of that size, designating two or three employees(bartenders) to service just that party to prevent this from happening. This waterpark is smaller than we anticipated but that is not necessarily a bad thing here. Wait time was minimal for us but we bought our tickets online which allowed us to get in to the park faster than those buying tickets AND there was a nice $10-12 discount in ordering online. Keep in mind you will have to decide what day you want to go in order to get that discount. Buying tickets online the day of when you plan to attend the park that day does not give you the discounted price. Even on a summer weekend the rides and slides had minimal weight time despite the crowd. Food was okay for a waterpark and ranges from $12-$15 a burger or chicken sandwich w/fries. There is a chance you may not be able to go in and out to try to go anywhere else to eat so keep that in mind as well. A lot of the seating around the wave pool and common areas are first come first serve so be sure to get there early and scope out your spot. The areas around the drop in for the lazy river can be get a little busy. Parking was safe but be smart and hide any valuables you do keep in there. There are lockers inside that you pay for to keep your valuables out and away from the water or others. EMS and First Aid staff here were very attentive to one of our family members who ended up banging their head on one of the slides (at the end of the ride that you go face first down). It's our favorite waterpark right in Pflugerville, off of the 45. 45 minutes from Leander without taking the toll road. Parking is free, reserved spots if you rent a Cabana for the day. I always rent a Cabana. It was $169 plus tax, plus the price of admission. We paid $23 each for park admission.(buy in advance) prices do go up. We chose our day a couple of days before. The cabana comes with 6 waters, chips and salsa or fruit platter. The team members are all kind, informative and willing to help. Plenty of lifeguards one lifeguard actually jumped into the wave pool thought that a child was going under. Luckily, the child was not, but kudos to the lifeguard who did not hesitate and dove right in.!!! My favorite is the lazy river!! read more

I attended a company party here today. The park was great on such a hot day. I totally recommend the lazy river, floating around on innertubes. The water slides were just as fun. There are lines for the 5 the wait is not long. There's no wait for the lazy river. The park brings out the kid in adults. There's plenty of parking. There's a bar, areas to buy food. Paid lockers. We've been quite a few times over the years during the great grades days. It is conveniently close to stone hill which means you do not have to spend an arm and a leg inside the park to eat. I do find the food to be overpriced but that's normal for water parks. The park is kept clean. The covered seating areas are first come, first serve. I wish the first aid setup was closer to the center of the park but the staff was extremely helpful and kind to my baby girl when she fell in the park. Pflugerville police were onsite which made me feel comfortable allowing my kids to roam by themselves. Plenty of parking and staff. read more

It's okay but nothing special. Tickets are cheaper if you buy online. We tried to do that at the entrance, but there was no cell service, and no WiFi. The smallest locker is $14. You can open/close the locker as many times as you like without paying again, but that fact isn't listed on any of the signage. I saw zero healthy or vegan food options, which would be acceptable if they let you bring your own food, but they don't. Burgers are around $14. Water is $3.50/bottle if you buy two at a time, could be worse. There are no maps posted anywhere. None of the slides have intensity ratings posted. Some of the steps have very worn anti-skid tape, needs to be replaced. Park appeared clean, slides were fun, Lazy River is a decent size. read more

We have been loving Typhoon Texas for years, it's always been a great location for our young and growing family to get together and make memories, no matter the kids age range. We specifically tend to stick to the splash pad areas because our kids are younger, however today's visit was sub-par and disappointing... As season passes holders, we came to the Waterpark for some splash pad fun, but nothing was on or in working order! Our visit here was on June 8th for Neon Night. When we arrived at the park it was very crowded. There wasn't any parking and a line outside down the end of the exit. They allowed too many people into the park and only had a bare staff of teenagers to manage hundreds of people. It was wild just to get into the park. We were overcharged and I had to argue with the cashier about something being listed on the website which he said was not. Finally got a manager to give us a refund. The Cabana itself was not worth the $350. Service is so slow, they had 1 kid running all of the cabanas on their busiest day. It took upwards of 30-40 minutes to get drinks and service as a whole. Then there was an incident where a massive amount of teenagers caused a stir by yelling about a gun or fight. People were running and screaming. Some hiding behind bushes, adults running with their children holding them, and hiding behind walls. There was even staff pulling kids into specific areas to keep them safe. It was very traumatic for some. Coupled with the lack of staff, and more people there than should be allowed, it turned this experience into chaos. There was never an official statement at the park and they released a canned statement on Facebook and censored comments instead of actually addressing the issue. I reached out to every customer service email to also get a canned response. I will probably get the same canned nonsense response on this as well. I essentially paid over $600 to have crappy service, and a traumatic birthday for my daughter and her friends. This place has gone downhill very quickly. It is no longer worth the hassle. This company only cares about money and it's very apparent by how they handle issues and cut corners in every aspect of the Waterpark. read more

I loved this place. My mother in law loved our Cabana boy aswell as his service. We all did. The chicken tenders were amazing as well as the cheese fries. They could use some more sauce options, but still amazing. The free (we chose fruit) platter with the cabana was perfect. Top tier fruits. And the rides? AMAZING. Not too rough, not too soft. This is the first time I have been "covid" this season. All the employees that work inside the main building are wearing masks. The reservations online are a bit dinky but in this day and age you do what they want, right? My daughter and I arrived early to take care of the season pass process, which was super easy and fast. Unfortunately, I thought it was going to take much longer so we did have to wait for our allotted time slot. That was fine, they reluctantly let us wait inside. One reason I gave them 4 not 5 stars was the simple face that I had to dump out WATER from a Contigo cup but NOT my OPEN water bottle... I need some clarification on what this policy is... last year it wasn't like this, or I didnt get in the line of the water Gestapo...‍ The other reason only 4 stars is the extreme waste of cups! Everytime we wanted to refill our refillable cup that we purchased there they filled up a paper cup and handed it to us. WHY!?!? Why not have a wrist band and just give out free drinks in those cups?? It hurt my heart to see all that, and I am not a tree hugger!! Besides that, the food area, and bathrooms were all very clean and had ample soap and hand sanitizer. We will be going back with frozen water bottles and only ice in the contigo cups. read more

Visited Typhoon Texas on 4th of July. I pre purchased tickets awhile back and there was a special for choose your day. We enjoyed it. I spent $80 on park admissions for 4. We rented a locker which was fairly priced and customer service was outstanding when it assigned us a locker already in use. My older children enjoyed the different water slides, my youngest enjoyed the kiddie area and a few slides also, and we all liked the wave pool and lazy River. We did enjoy some snacks from one of the food trucks and they were delicious. I def would like to revisit before the end of summer. read more

We have been season pass holders for 3 years now. We live right down the road so we figured why not get the season passes. The last 2 years have been great. We've loved it and there were never any complaints. This year not so much. I rented a cabana on a few occasions. Each time was horrible. One time in the cabana there were so many flies, I couldn't understand why, it didn't seem normal. Then I noticed a baby diaper full of pee and poop that was left on the ground next to the couch from the day before, they didn't even clean the cabanas out!! I asked them to please come pick up the diaper and it took them a whole 25 - 30!min to actually remove the diaper!! The only reason it was finally removed is because I put my shoes on and kicked the diaper to the outside of the cabana! Then they finally picked it up. The staff members had the nerve to fuss at me for removing the diaper from the cabana, the cabana I rented, that should have been clean and diaper free. We had to wait another 45 minutes for them to actually clean off the ground of the cabana. The staff was not very attentive, kept getting our orders wrong, I finally gave up and went to order everything myself. I got tired of having to track down our server so just continued to order whatever drinks we needed from the bartender at the bar. The lifeguards are not always paying attention. Several times in the lazy River, my daughters were either kicked, pushed, hit in the face with a tube, or hurt by others who were playing way too rough. The cleanliness of the park in general was very poor. Face masks floating in the water, trash on the ground, food on the ground, etc... I really hope they fix everything with their staff and how they operate for next season. They still get 3 stars because in spite of everything my kids still had a blast all summer when visiting the waterpark. read more

The start of a new season and we have already been 3 times! Our family just loves this water park. The place is so well maintained! The food is pretty good... Even when it is busy it is never just crazy... the circle bar over by the wave pool is a full bar! We plan on taking in a movie night yet, we plan on coming for some music, and we have a plan on coming lots more this summer yet! We had an absolutely awful experience having a birthday party at Typhoon Texas documented below in my email to their director of sales. After over a month, my sense is a reply to or acknowledgment of my email, like the funnel cake, won't be coming. Hi Brittany, I just wanted to flag that the birthday party experience was not a good one for our group. It was disorganized from the beginning - no instruction from check-in folks on where to go, no birthday host at the birthday barn until close to noon - then they disappeared pretty much until the time came to add a tip to the bill. The pizzas ran 45 minutes late and were undercooked, and the ice-cream came at about the time we were told that our time was up. Oh - and we were told we would not get the funnel cake as they were running close to an hour behind. For the close to $400 you charge for this experience, we expected better. At a minimum - having an adult present as the birthday host or in some capacity might've helped. Das little water park. Their rates for passes and twilight hours are reasonable. Fun place to spend a day. Lots to do: a handful of slides ranging from easy tunnels to racers to straight down drop slides, a lazy River, a wave pool, a kids splash zone with kid-sized waterslides, and a zip line/obstical course. The food and drinks are das: pizza, chicken tenders, burgers, funnel cakes, corn dogs, Blue Bell ice cream, nachos, beers and icees. Everything is reasonably priced. They keep the lines for the slides at ground level and under canopy. This leads to a quick stair climb with a teensy line at the top. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because there aren't enough tubes in the lazy river. I was honestly disappointed by that. read more

Great value for season pass, including drink refills for the entire season. Rides were available for all age groups from toddlers to adults and were lots of fun and refreshing, especially with record heat in Austin. Today at Typhoon Texas was a blast, and I have the pink shoulders to prove it (even though I swear I reapplied my sunscreen). First off, parking was a total breeze and free. We arrived around 12:30 (2 hours into the park opening), and I easily found a spot one row back from the front. Getting into the park was also super easy, so we were already off to a great start because sometimes the worst part of a water park is just the hassle to even get into the water. We rented the smallest locker for $8, which easily fit two large towels, our water bottles (you can bring in one per person if it is factory-sealed), and our bag. I do really think with the price of admission that families pay that lockers should be free or half the prices. As a part of a Yelp Elite event, we had the chance to try the food, and I enjoyed the cheese pizza. I would like more options for vegetarians/pescatarians as the menus are chicken and beef heavy, but they did have cheese pizza, hummus, and mozzarella sticks. They also had a shrimp basket near the wave pool I would have loved to try, but we already had the pizza first. The worst part of our visit was getting food and beers. The kitchen in the pizza area was super backed up, and a lot of parents with hungry kiddos seemed even more frustrated than us. It seemed like they needed more cooking staff, but it was opening day, so I trust they will get their groove on. Despite a big crowd of kiddos and adults, it did not feel overcrowded. I only had to wait 10 minutes for the longest slide line, could easily get into the lazy river and wave pool with space, and I never had to wait for the restroom. Also, word to the wise, y'all, the restrooms are an unofficial slip-in-slide ride. Careful on the slippery concrete. The highlights of my day was floating in the wave pool listening to a live band and watching clouds pass by and enjoying a beer in the pavilion with fellow Yelp Elites. Overall, Typhoon Texas Austin was fun for us (a couple without kids), was very kid friendly, and clean. We had a great time. I would have rated higher but we had to wait almost an hour just for a tube. They really need more. The ladies room was out of toilet paper so everyone had to grab paper towels on the way in. A few of the attractions were closed and the live entertainment was awful! It was loud. Off key and really not very good music at all. The bar tenders by the wave pool were very young girls and very clueless. They were not consistent at all. And we paid with a $50 so we had to wait 20 minutes for a manager to open the cash drawer so we could get change. Otherwise we had a great visit!! read more

I believe we all wish for a great water park, but since shifting ownership the quality of this place is downhill. Slides broken, not working, and/or need refurbished. Instead of limiting patrons they now have a fast pass like at major them parks which is not ideal for the locals that go here. Too many people and a money grab. They don't have enough tubes for the lazy River. Ordering food, particularly inside the main building where they serve pizza is disoriented, lines are insanely long, not enough seating in the a/c. Overall bad experience When we bring in a thermal water jug we should be able to fill it with water from soda machines and not pay $4 per water. We were huge fans of Typhoon Texas before our experience this past 4th of July weekend. Our family of 4 upgraded single-day pass tickets ($139.96) at the Austin park to season pass plus tickets ($319.96), which allows you access into the Austin Typhoon Texas as well as the Houston Typhoon Texas. We purchased these tickets because though we live in Austin, we have extended family in Houston and wanted to treat grandparents to time at our favorite water park when we were in town. When we arrived to the Houston location 30 minutes prior to the park's opening with our family of 4 and 2 grandparents (season pass provides entrance into the park 30 minutes prior to opening), we spent almost the entire 30 minutes speaking with the cashier, another cashier assisting our cashier and finally a manager. All four of us were denied access to the park as season pass plus holders. Our wristbands weren't registered in their system. I ran to our car and was able to show them the receipt I'd saved from purchasing 4 season pass plus memberships in Austin on June 15. If I had not had this receipt, we would have not been welcome in their park without paying full-price, single-day tickets. They had to completely re-register all four of us into the system -- none of our wristbands were registered. We were denied the 2019 season pass booklets (4) for the Houston waterpark, and the 50% off guest ticket allowed for each of our memberships (to apply towards our two grandparents' tickets) was also denied. I asked the manager if he would be willing to grant us receipt of even just a single booklet. He refused. Our receipt printed even says "season pass booklet," but not a single booklet was given to us. This was the reason we purchased/upgraded season pass plus tickets instead of regular season tickets! The Houston park stated that they could not honor these perks, because we had purchased our season plus passes at the Austin Typhoon Texas. Between being deceived by Austin Typhoon Texas season pass purchase cashiers, the poor customer service experience at the Houston Typhoon Texas, nearly being denied access into the park and fighting the crowd that day, I can confidently say this will be our last summer visiting Typhoon Texas at either location. read more

A solid way to spend a summer day in our humble north Austin burb. Every year we buy season passes, since you'll break even after two visits. We have enjoyed the updates made to the park following its Hawaiian Falls years and have spent hours and hours here burning to a nice golden crisp and spending good quality time with my kiddos while staying cool in the water. Negatives: - waterparks and public pools are pretty icky if you really think about it (so try not to). But I find the wet/sticky/grimy floors in the restrooms and dining areas especially icky. - The website is terrible. I couldn't even figure out the hours for the park on a recent day -- season passholders can get in a bit early, but they obscure that info. You also can't do things like reserve a cabana using your passholder discount. - Not sure why the ropes course hasn't been revived. It's something we miss from the Hawaiian Falls days. Now the structures just sit there as a haven for birds that look like they are ready to have us for a snack. Nevertheless, we'll be back again next year. read more
