So good Everything was good!
Except for one chopped vegtable dish (without ginger or potato) which just seemed bland in comparison to the other heavier dishes.
I'm surprized they deliver to Kirkland! Without skip the dishes! Maybe it's because our orders are usually over 80$? So they don't mind driving, and we're usually late too. Usually we're 3-4 people AND left overs lasts 2-3 days, except for the rice, we're just getting the hang of learnng how much rice we like so we can stop making our own on the last days lol.
I just love their food So deep in flavours, and when I tell them I want it spicy, they actually make it spicy! My favorite it their super spicy It just burns so good lol
The 1st 2 times we ordered delivery from them, they forgot a few things, gave us things we didn't order, and charged us for things that were not even there lol. The 1st time they did this, we called them and they apologized, offering a little more than the overcharged value as a discount on our next order (20$). The next delivery order, it happened again lol But this time we checked before paying, and they happily deducted our bill. The 3rd time we ordered (our previous order), not only did they do everything perfectly without us reminding them to double check, but they also gave us a free salad and desert! Which was really nice of them!
Sometimes I'll experiment when I've ran out of their rice and don't feel like making more because there's leftover pasta my dad made (he hates spicy food lol) and honestly, their sauces just elevated the pasta I can't go wrong with it lol Their rice is cheap, so I have to remember to not be shy when ordering it. So far we would order around 5-8 dishes with 2-3 rice portions, so obviously I'm doing something wrong there lol I think I'll try a 1 dish to 1 3/4 of rice portion, meaning if we order 8 dishes, then we should order at least 5 rice portions and see how that goes, because honestly, eventhough I can cook basmati rice at home, I much prefer theirs. My family prefers their brianni to use as a base, but I don't because their brianni isn't what I would call brianni since they see it as a base so it's only lightly and unevenly seasoned in order to allow the sauces being added to stand out. Same with their safron rice, which is just a hint of flavor so it's not bland to begin with, and works well with the other dishes being added. I like their plain white rice too, but the safron is my favorite base so far, but if they ever do a version that is fully saturated, then I'd love to try it. Eventhough I'm using rice, their naan bread is out of this world! Every bite is just so much better with a piece of naan, sometimes tI try o make things easier by breaking up the naan into little pieces so i can scoop one piece up with each bite, but honestly it's just not the same as making little bite sized tacos with it. I think they should make stuffed naan burritos, infact I remember seeing something that could have been that on their menu, I'll try it next time.
One thing I didn't like on their menu was their adventure dish for almost 50$. I wanted to try it because we order so much anyways that it seems like it would save us a lot of trouble, but my bro didn't trust it for delivery because it didn't have a thoroughly detailed description, eventhough it said exactly what it was. He felt better to actually try that in the restaurant itself for some reason that I don't really get.
I feel guilty ordering beef from this type of cultural place because I know in their country, cattle are their pets... but god dam it, they do it so good x,x I wish they had mutton (older sheep) because I don't like lamb or veal, but I think that's hard for restaurants to make for order because it needs to be cooked for hours, which makes it hard for restaurants to keep it fresh laying around. I might call a few days ahead and see if I can pre-order-pay anything that takes long to make and see what they can really do! read more
