With Italian food, I also prefer very good Italian wine versus a cocktail. He pointed me to 2 red wines that were bold and heavy as I requested. Both were just OK, but expensive. Wines by the bottle was ridiculously high. Regardless, he was great in steering me to the type of dishes more suited to what I was asking for and not just the most expensive. This restaurant has been highly recommended by my brother and sister in law for years. They had told us it was one of the best Italian food they have had anywhere. But, In its previous location, it just looked a bit stuffy for a CANCÚN vacation meal. At its new location, though it was still upscale, it seemed more approachable to us somehow.
