We had very bad service here. The waiter was kind of rude and short with us which is very unusual for Mexico. Our food took almost an hour to arrive and it was not good. I ordered a meatball (I wasn't that hungry) and it was by far the worst meatball I have ever tried. It was so dry, and tasted old. Literally, grocery store bought frozen meatballs are much better. Another dish ordered had chicken and the slices were rubbery and awful? We were so disappointed. The only good part of this was the local celebrity swimming by - see pic. Definitely would not come back here. There are so many other options that are much better.
This restaurant is absolutely beautiful, homie and with a great view. The staff well of I can give 10 stars, I would! On to the food, if a restaurant with a view and an outstanding staff doesn't make you want to try this, then here's the food portion: their house bread WOW sooo good and their vinaigrette and EVOO yes, yes, yes! The fried calamari, delish, crispy, fresh and good seasoning. The chicken parmigiana was absolutely delicious, the sauce was right on point not too much to overpower the chicken, the breading was very well seasoned and the cheese YES!! The fettuccine Alfredo was good, could've had a little more sauce but it was tasty. This is a must try if you come to Cancun
Wow such a cool restaurant we found on yelp!! We were tired of the all inclusive food so we took a 5 minute taxi here. Our server was very attentive. I recommend the tableside mozzarella, he literally made the cheese in front of us! Frutti de Mari is my favorite Italian dish, it was pretty good. We had a beautiful table on the deck overlooking the water and the vibes & ambiance was just 10/10. Muy bien
First time I was here was January 2012. Haven't been back since then and now it's 2023. Has nice ambiance as I remembered it. Friendly service. Excellent food. Their complimentary wood oven bread is so good and crisp. I had their chicken Marsala where chicken was so tender to the cut and tastes so moist. Risotto was okay, I believe it was too much butter. Their risotto is made in the same kids pasta because my kid's pasta tasted exactly like my risotto. Overall, I'd come back for a second time if my trip was a little bit longer. The most entertaining thing for my family was seeing an alligator in the water! So cool!
While visiting in Cancun with the family we decided to have one last meal at Limoncello restaurant and I am glad we did the food was cooked to perfection the service was wonderful I definitely will recommend this place and I will be back next time I visit Cancun.
Food was amazing at this fine establishment. The ambiance is even better and the service is spectacular. Not as loud and obnoxious at the RosaNerga group which is in its own right a fantastic outing. The lobster Pad Thai was amazing and complimentary cream cheese wontons are to die for. They have an alligator on sight which is really fun and the birthday celebration is amazing. A spot right close to the water completes this amazing establishment.
After spending the day at Chichen Itza and desiring something different we tried this well rated Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was like being transported to Italy with the interior design touches. We didn't have to wait long for a table without a reservation. The serving staff were very courteous. I really enjoyed my passion fruit frozen margarita and my wife her aperol spritz. The caprese salad was good but had a bit odd presentation. Although the entrees were a great effort they didn't taste like authentic Italian. My lasagna Bolognese needed a knife to cut into and it fell apart like a burrito. My son's chicken Alfredo was very subpar with a thin, runny cream sauce. My wife wasn't too fond of her linguini calamari either which was a little chewy. The youngest son's kids cheese was adequate. The food was on the pricey side so didnt really live up to expectations. It was cool when a rather large crocodile made a surprise appearance but it wasn't not enough to improve my rating.
Pros. Great location. Excellent views. Decent wine list. Do your research as the wines are varied. They are stored properly. Food is delicious and well prepared. Service is excellent. People are nice. And. We got to see a crocodile. Cons. None. We will be back! Thank
We found this place on Yelp. Great discovery. Impeccable service, great food, beautiful ambiance,live piano music. All tables are over looking lagoon , right at the water and as an extra bonus crocodile " visited" us. Very memorable experience.

A solid dinner choice every time we are in town. So many items on the menu that I love (the polpetto, linguini with clams, chicken Marsala). You may even get lucky and get a glimpse of the crocodile(s) while dining.
Limoncello was recommended to us by a friend that has visited the area. I learned to not really trust the concierge at our resort. I cannot thank that friend and Limoncello enough because this was the best dining experience we've had in Cancun and now my second, maybe even tied with my first place favorite Italian restaurant ever. From the moment I called on the phone to make a reservation, I could tell they paid attention to detail. They even asked if anyone had food allergies or if we were celebrating a special occasion. We decided to walk from our resort to the location, but I think it is safer to get a taxi or bus. While the inside is nicely decorated and with plenty of table space, I highly recommend sitting outside on the lagoon. In the evening, all the lights are on and even with family, it is romantic and highly enjoyable! We did not see the crocodile, but you might. The lights on the tree outside are shaped like giant lemons. They really went all out on the decor. Our service was top-notch. Maybe the best I've had. Ever. We had two servers, Pedro and his assistant (which I unfortunately forgot the name of) who were polite, attentive, and went all out to please us. Anything we wanted or needed help with, they delivered. There was a moment in the night where three of us consecutively got pasta sauce on our shirts (it was a great moment) and Pedro brought us stain remover without us asking! Props to them for having that available for customers. It worked very well and saved us all. We were also guided to the restrooms when we asked for directions. The food was exquisite. Have you ever had freshly made caesar dressing? Have you ever had it made in front of you? Me neither, until this meal. Pedro made a delicious caesar dressing with egg yolks, anchovies, and all other good stuff right next to our table. It was mesmerizing to watch him crack an egg and separate the yolk in between a fork and a spoon. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Then we had the pear speck, which was also wonderful. For the main course, we had the in-house freshly made black linguine with shrimp, a giant meatball, and mostaccioli. All were fantastic. My linguine was perfectly cooked al dente and I loved that it was made fresh! The dessert was the final straw that made me fall in love with Limoncello. I had the tiramisu, which is one of my favorite desserts. It was very good, however, the volare dessert was unique and must have been created by a culinary genius. The dessert comes as a giant chocolate ball that breaks open after the waiter pours hot bailey's in an x shape. And who thinks of parmesan in a dessert? It went so well with the cream and berries. Oh, heaven. That dessert was gone within seconds. If you read nothing about my review aside from this last line, know that Limoncello is my new favorite restaurant and if you are in Cancun, this is the best dinner you will find in the tourist area.
I had high hopes for this place based on reviews. Came during the off season and restaurant was almost empty. We (2 persons) were sat at the same time as a four top and it took us twice as long to get our drinks and food. The calamari had a fishy taste. The pasta took almost 45 minutes and did not taste like it was freshly made. While the servers were kind, the service was incredibly slow for an empty restaurant. The atmosphere was chill and enjoyed the views in a rainstorm. read more
Looks like having Italian food in Mexico might not have been the best idea The location is beautiful and the service is fantastic , the food is....just ok They also have a "house " crocodile swimming in the water nearby which is pretty amazing :) H er res everything we had : Starters - 1) Caprese salad - the tomatoes were excellent , but the mozzarella cheese didn't feel fresh . 3.6/5 2) fried calamari - felt fresh and yummy . I wish the dish was a little larger (3.8/5) Mains- 1) 4 cheese pizza - that was the weakest item in the entire meal - small and not crispy, felt like a 9 year old prepared it (2/5) 2) mushroom risotto was pretty good . Flavourful and rich . 3,8/5 We also got some house bread that was fantastic with some olive oil , and some home made limioncello as dejastif. Drinks were good with nice selection and reasonable prices It was quite expensive and we'll probably not return again read more

On our drive back from the Ultramar Ferry (spent the day at Isla Mujeres) we were hungry for Italian (1-3-20). PARKING: They had valet parking so parking our car was not an issue. When we finished eating our car was already waiting for us. We did not have to wait a second. Their valet service is amazing! We sat by the window overlooking the water. We stayed inside instead of sitting outside on the open deck. While you wait for your meal, they bring you bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. We asked for extra balsamic vinegar for dipping our bread. The bread arrives warm and amazing! We both ordered the Exquisite Lobster tail in spicy marinara sauce with filet of angus beef marinated in fine herbs and rosemary cooked in a firewood oven, served with baby potatoes and linguine. I had them make me garlic mashed potatoes instead of the baby potatoes. I also had them sauté us a side of mushrooms to go with our steak. The steak was perfectly medium-rare. The lobster tail was perfectly cooked and filled with great flavor. This is an expensive restaurant but the food is well worth it! The staff is exemplary! Antonio, our attentive server, made sure our water was always filled. He made sure we had everything we could possibly need to enjoy our meal. He was the one that contacted our valet to let them know to bring our car before we were standing there wanting it! He was perfection! MOST SINCERELY! read more

This restaurant was excellent. We we're staying at Hyatt Zilara & nothing they served could match this place. We even paid for the exclusive dinner (12 people only) and it didn't impress. We ordered the arugula salad with pears & the Salami Pizza. Both were really good. Asked for pizza muy tostada & it came out perfect. Finished lunch with an order of their housemate tiramisu, outstanding! I highly recommend the dessert read more

If you are craving italian this is your spot..I do not do all inclusive hotels while on vacation cause I would not be able to try all the amazing restaurants outside the cancun hotel zone. Fellow yelpers dont give in to all inclusive you will be missing out on places like limoncello which has some awesome pizza, fresh seafood and great chicken parm. The views are amazing and dont forget to say hi to their 10 foot alligator neighbor who seems underneath the restaurant LOL read more

We wanted to have some Italian food for dinner. After doing a lot of searching on Tripadvisor and Google, we chose Limoncello and I was very pleased indeed. Limoncello is located on the main road (Blvd. Kukulkan) of the Hotel Zone in Cancun, facing the lagoon. The great thing for diners to any of the restaurants on this side is that if you want to have dinner and see the sunset, it's a beautiful view. Limoncello has the advantage of also being a beautiful restaurant--tastefully decorated, yet cozy. But enough about how beautiful the place is. The food and service are also terrific (our waiters Antonio and David were attentive, but not intrusive)! Their menu has something for the person who wants some very good Italian food (both Southern and Northern); they also offer very good seafood, lobsters, pizzas and meat too. They start you off with complimentary fresh flat bread made in their brick ovens served with olive oil. We had the calamari (which was not breaded, but served in a delicious marinara sauce), gnocchi, which were light yet toothy, served with a deep, rich sauce and my wife had the lasagnetta, which was not just delicious, but beautifully presented as well; our friends ordered the seafood, and it was done perfectly. The portions are very generous--so much so, that I didn't have room to eat dessert (at the restaurant, that is...); we took the tiramisu to go, and I was glad we did, because it was delicious too. They also have a nice wine list at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend Limoncello if you're in the mood for Italian food, or just after a lovely place to have a nice wine and watch the sunset. read more

A great spot the service was impeccable. The food first rate and not to spendy the meatball app was very good with a great red sauce we had the fettuccine with chicken and parm avoid the garlic bread it is dinner rolls with parm and garlic waved over it everything else was fantastic. Our group voted this was our favorite restaurant after one week in Cancun! One of the most enjoyable meals I had in Cancun. Since I'm Italian I'm very particular about eating Italian food out, so this says a lot. All the food is very fresh and delicious. Everyone at our table which was six of us loved their meals. The service was wonderful and the mozzarella prepared table side was terrific. They make mozzarella fresh from scratch right in front of you. We shared the appetizers which was the mozzarella with fresh tomatoes, olive oil basil and balsamic vinegar. We also shared Calamari, a Caesar and Arugula salad. Main meals were Chicken Parmesan, Grouper, Salmon (made mine GF), shrimp with black fettuccine, Gnocchi and lasagna. My salmon had a wonderful light lemon sauce on it and it was perfectly cooked. Enjoy their unique dishes and you will love this place. I used open table to make our reservation and we were seated immediately. We requested to sit by the water as the view is wonderful. read more

We ordered the ravioli and sad to say we've had better from Olive Garden for which I'm not complimenting OG. The waiter knew it was bad and didn't say anything after picking up two plates that weren't eaten. He just brushed it off asking if we wanted dessert and not, "Hey was your meal okay?" We gave it a shot but we I will not be coming back. If you want great food and great service I recommend Harry's steakhouse instead. read more

This restaurant is amazing! Came here on a Wednesday night and had a lovely experience. We sat on the balcony by the lagoon. The bread was sooo good. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and it was delicious! The service is also excellent. The waiters are so sweet and always on watch. Right as I was starting my spaghetti, a crocodile swam by and we got to see it up close! That night, there was also a pianist. He was a very kind old man and when we went to tip him, he let us sit down and play the piano and take pictures. It was a beautiful night. If you're in Cancun and you like Italian food, you should definitely come here! read more

Absolutely AMAZING!!!!!! It was just perfect! The place reminds you in some old school place in Venice! It's just stunning and cozy. The service was outstanding and the food yummy!!!! We've tried the fettuccine Alfredo and we had some pasta with Bolognese as well as Gorgonzola sauce! The Cesar salad was unbelievable!!!! If I could give this place a 10 I absolutely would!! Oh did I mention the Limoncello Drop Martini?? Thank me later!!! read more
I have traveled to Cancun twice. Both times, I have made sure to come to Limoncello. The seafood here is hard to beat; it is very fresh and top notch. The service here is also wonderful. It is a very upscale restaurant and very classy. I would have to say that this is the best sea food I have ever had. Both times I've been, I've sat right on the water. My family and best friend also loved their dinners here and the atmosphere. Next time I travel to Cancun, I will be back! read more
