But at Haides, I felt totally comfortable from the moment I went in. Downstairs is the barbershop and you kind of have to go out and around to the salon. There's been so many times I've walked into a different salon and felt like either nobody is paying attention or you're "just another number." At Haides they really make you just feel so comfortable. Angelica was very knowledgeable about the products she was using and she told me all about which products to use to take care of my hair. She was very sweet and nice, she would always tell me what she was doing to my hair during the process which I loved because sometimes stylists don't do that. Angelica was also a fun person to talk to, which was a plus for me because she did my hair for 8 hours long and I totally love her vibe! Overall, I highly recommend to get your hair done my Angelica she's literally an artist and I am very happy with how my hair turned out. She knew exactly what she was doing, and the results she gave me was immaculate! Angelica really met my expectations and provided me a fantastic service; she is highly skilled and very professional. Located on East Pender and Columbia Street in Chinatown, this barber shop has been in existence for three years. They have a convenient booking system on their web site that you can book a time slot with specific barbers online. A standard hair cut is booked for a 45 mins time slot. I booked Tony and was extremely impressed with his attention to detail. He took the time to explain what he was doing, different options for cutting my hair and explained styling and product tips for my hair. Cost of the cut was 40 dollars including taxes, cash only, which is reasonable given the amount of time they spend cutting your hair and the fact that you are getting a true stylist. There may be other places downtown that charge less but that would typically be a 15 min to 20 min hair cut, and in my view you pay for you get. I was very happy with my hair cut and I'm looking forward to coming back for my hair cuts here in the future. As a bonus they have the cutest bulldog that roams around and there is a fridge with complimentary drinks.
