My son found this place after purchasing his 1st portable record player. He found records to play that was on his list. The prices are good. The location is great. They have a huge inventory, from vinyl, CD's, movies and books. Everything from old school to new school. They don't miss out on anything. Whatever you're searching for this is the place to find it. So far we've been their three times, and each time my son found what he was searching for. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I'm sure we will continue to visit often. read more

Went here for the first time for the Madonna Confessions II pre release. I loved how big the shop was but honestly the organization of the vinyl was a little confusing. I also couldn't find a lot of what I was looking for. With that being said overall I think their prices were fair and I loved that they had lots of cheap cds and even cassettes in addition to books and movies! From what it appeared it was a family run business which is awesome. A little more organization probably could have helped the event but overall it was super awesome to be a part of! Spin Me Round is a beautiful addition to the Easton area and the mall. The store carries A LOT of CDs, DVDs, Video Games, Books, Vinyl, and cassettes. I felt like I was in the 90s 2000s while visiting, and nothing beats it. The store can be accessed from the mall and also externally. I took the time to walk around and see selections of different genres of music, many of whose names ring a bell and some that will make you wonder. Walking around for a bit made me wonder if I should buy this. Anyone who comes here will undoubtedly spend a lot of time looking through, even if you're not a big record geek. There are also used items that can be bought, and I found that to be pretty cool, not to mention at a great price. The store is clean and organized, which is one of the reasons it's still open. Overall, the service was excellent, and asked if I needed any help with anything. I'm willing to make this stop again, but unfortunately, because of how far I am, it won't happen anytime soon. read more

I visited Spin Me Round to browse their vinyl selection. I stopped first to look at their used vinyl. Unfortunately, it was not alphabetical order and in no order that I could figure out. There seems to be a missed opportunity here- I visited on a weekday afternoon and noticed at least 5 workers. They may have been more interested in taking smoke breaks. Visiting the new vinyl sections, I was happy to see some order. I was pleasantly surprised to see an EP by Our Enemies Heard, which I had never seen in any record store (and I visit lots of them all over the country)- and it was on sale! I did notice quite a few inconsistencies, though. I saw several records (same artist, same album) that were priced differently. Tip: if you see a record you'd like to buy, keep looking, because you might find it cheaper! I was also surprised that there were some used books available. They are reasonable and are some gems. Overall, I found some things to purchase, but felt that there wasn't enough material I was interested in to visit again. read more

Today was my first extended visit to Spin Me Round in the Palmer Park Mall. I was at the mall with a family member that was utilizing the services of another storefront. As their intent was to spend several hours, I took the opportunity to take in all aspects of the facility. I have regularly followed the owner's social media posts regarding specialty products and was looking forward to the experience. I've had one previous less than 30-minute visit but was unable to really explore the entire sales floor due to a time restriction and not residing close to the area. The overall cataloging set up was very confusing and I had a difficult time navigating the displays. I was assisted by a very polite younger lady that described the layout, answered each of my questions, and directed me where best to search out the specific media I was looking for. Thanks to her genuinely helpful nature, I began my dive through every video, CD, and record rack. After completing my search, I found three single sealed albums two gatefold double albums from my Want list. I opted for the two gatefolds based on the final transaction total. One was priced quite fair for a previously owned. The other was priced as new. I saw that the packaging had an aged look and was opened before. There were marks on the outer sleeve that indicated the same. I noted the discs showed minimal signs of playing. The inner sleeve on one disc was torn through on the edge. Three of the four corners showed shelf wear through the original packaging plastic bag it was held in. I still wanted the album and thought that the price on the item might be in error. I decided to see if there could be a correction to a reasonable fair market price offer for a previously owned version of this 2023 release. I saw the owner featured in the social media posts. She appeared to be verifying items on her phone while on the sales floor. I waited patiently until she finished before coming up to her and requesting her assistance. I asked if the possibility for a price adjustment for a reasonable offer could be made on previously owned records. She stated that the album I was holding was brand new and that was the price. I stated it did not appear to be new and listed the condition observations I made prior. She then snatched the record from my hands and said "Well, we will have to return it then..." Afterward, she just stared at me for several moments. We then walked away from each other and I was left feeling extremely uncomfortable. I still opted to complete the purchase of the other album I found even though my overall feeling was to just leave and wait for the other members of my group. The person at the register was polite and completed my transaction professionally. My take-away is the 'on-screen' representation 100% failed to present in person. Based on the behavior of and interaction with the owner, this was my first and last visit to Spin Me Round. The Second review star was to recognize the two fellow employees that showed professionalism. It would have been one star if only for the owner. read more

The store has again moved, but this time into a larger space in the Palmer Park Mall that was previously a Schuylkill Valley Sports. Benefits of this move include a tremendous amount of room for future expansion and an external entrance. Spin Me Round is a full-service record store with a significant selection including CD's and cassettes that also doubles as a local used media store. On my recent visit, which was made on April 22nd, I brought a friend with me who had not yet seen the expanded store. He was impressed with the vast record selection and commented how we should bring another friend here on our next visit, as he is a vinyl collector and would never want to leave. The Pop Vinyl selection was excellent and seems to have gotten slightly bigger. As bookstores continue to become more scare, they make a nice attempt to carry a variety of used books across several genres. Video game selection is not the largest and tends to wildly vary. The used DVD selection is secretly the standout feature of Spin Me Round, as while they might be a touch more expensive than your average used DVD, they generally tend to be in better condition. I've found certain DVD's here cheaper than online. I also witnessed what seemed like a complicated customer trying to sort though an issue on a record player they purchased here. I suspect he didn't exactly know what he was doing, but the staff were trying their best to help him and be patient. Overall, Spin Me Round continues to be worth making a stop at even if you are not a record person. read more

PROS: Amazing place for music. They have records and CDs. The staff is very nice and you cn even mix songs and create your own disc. They are very large, probably the largest local business in the mall, too CONS: The problem is they only specialize in music. Nice record shop located in the mall. They have a decent selection of used and new albums scattered across a very large retail space. They also have a ton of CDs and DVDs. I spent a good amount of time crate digging and found a few solid classical albums including an early 80's Mofi for a really good price. Pricing is fair and there are some gems to be found. I did not like the phono set up for sampling records. It makes it hard to see if the album is good quality when the record player and amp is terrible. Perhaps it just needs a cleanup? read more

Smart ass customer service with hint of troll vibe. When I asked them if I could get an exchange for an album that arrived damaged, they played some smart ass routine with me over the course of 3-4 emails where they would purposely not answer my question and kept giving me another answer to a question I never even asked. I kept asking "can you replace the LP? I still want it" and they'd respond, "you are welcome to send it back for a full refund". At first, I thought they didn't understand my question - so I responded asking for clarification about an exchange. Then they answered back saying, "yes - you can send it in for a full refund" but then would never give anymore context about why they were avoiding the question about the exchange. I realized the dude was just trolling me for whatever reason, getting a kick with my increasingly frustrated emails. I called the store to see if someone could just replace the LP instead of returning it. The woman who answered must've been the same person or knew of the email, because once she realized it was me, she picked up the troll game again and just pretended she didn't hear my question. It felt like a conversation with a group of 12 year olds. I'll never forget this weird as hell exchange as long as I am a record collector. So weird and so frustrating. I would spend my money somewhere else where adults handle customer service if you are looking to support a record store in this area. read more

In my initial review, I obviously liked this place, but its been nearly 3 years since I last patronized the store. Not because of any subsequent feelings of dislike on my part; simply because this isn't a part of western NJ/eastern PA that I visit often. But I have mentioned to the friend I made my initial visit with that I wanted to go back, and recently he offered to drive out that way (he's closer to western NJ/eastern PA than I am). Turns out, it's no longer at the Phillipsburg Mall (a depressing "ghost mall" if ever I've seen one), but somewhere in PA near Easton. I have some familiarity with Easton (he's somewhat familiar with Phillipsburg), but basically this is foreign country to both of us, so we relied on my friend's GPS. As near as I can tell, Palmer, PA is a suburb of Easton, about 6 miles from Bethlehem, not far from Allentown. Gray sorta area (this is my subjective opinion, of course, and the gloomy weather didn't help my assessment), with closed, crumbling factories, cheap fast food restaurants galore, seedy strip malls, some well-kept small houses, some others going downhill fast (one with about 5 "TRUMP/PENCE" placards still stuck into the tiny, threadbare front lawn). The mall itself, smaller than the cavernous and empty Phillipsburg Mall, is a little more inviting, seems newer and better maintained, although the left half of it seems totally vacant and dark. There appear to be more people walking around inside, even though the stores themselves are uninspiring and dreary (a hair salon, competing T-Mobile and Verizon stores across from each other, a Bascov's...whatever that is...a store selling "Asian" junk...etc...etc...; at least the Phillipsburg Mall had an antique mini-mall inside it that was somewhat diverting). Spin Me Round stands like an oasis in an arid desert. Not a tremendous amount has changed from my last memory of it. The store (which you can enter from the street) seems bigger, roomier. This isn't the Princeton Record Exchange. You're not going to find that Visconti DVD, or "Vampyros Lesbos," or that live Johnny Thunders CD you've been searching for. However, if your tastes are more conventional, chances are you can find something entertaining, even engaging. There are bins of $1DVDs. Yeah, there's crap in those bins, but also mainstream films like "The Shawshank Redemption," or "Saving Private Ryan. " And...look...for a dollar, how can you go wrong? Other bins contain more expensive DVDs, but not much more expensive. I've been wanting to re-watch some films from my past..."The China Syndrome," "The Cotton Club," "The Dirty Dozen"...and I was able to buy them here. Cheap. (They also had DVD copies of the Tom Baker "Dr. Who" series, which I've missed...it will be nice to take a nostalgic trip down that particular Memory Lane.) I didn't see any $1 CD bins, but the higher priced ones were still a bargain. You may not find Os Mutantes or Pharoah Sanders on the shelves or in the bins, but if you like Johnny Cash or Lou Reed or Patsy Cline or The Rolling Stones (I do, by the way), you're very likely to find a CD copy in the bins or on the shelves for a very reasonable price. On my last visit, I bought Led Zeppelin and Beatles CDs. And if you like record albums, they have lots of them. Even "Raw Power" by Iggy and the Stooges-- probably my favorite rock album of all time! I guess my biggest gripe is the paucity (virtual non-existence) of foreign films in their DVD section. Still, I was able to buy a DVD from New Delhi, India, that seems to be the recorded documentation of a Hindu religious ceremony. I'm judging this by the pictures on the cover of the DVD case, as the words describing the content are completely incomprehensible to me. But...if I wanted foreign, I got foreign! It may not be Fellini or Werner Herzog, but for $3.99, I'll take a chance. They still have a small book section, but I didn't spend much time there. This is a solid record store. You may have to separate the wheat from the chaff, but there's a lot of wheat. And if you decide to "experiment" with what you hope is wheat but turns out to be chaff (I bought a CD called "The Soul of Scotland"-- I have no idea what that's going to sound like), well...it won't break the bank. I wish they were closer. My hope is that I can get out here again before they move to another "ghost" mall even deeper in the wilds of PA! read more

This is located in a "dead mall" in which the only other things standing are cell phone stores and a Bath and Body Works. That being said the selection is ace and I always come out spending more than I intended. However the staff, particularly the female (co)owner, (I believe her name is Stephanie, per a local television news interviews) is not the friendliest and it frankly surprised me as she makes social media videos daily in which she appears to love her business and customers. However when you approach (or even call on the phone) her to ask her something she acts annoyed and as if you are bothering her. I've learned to just go in, shop on my own, and leave without the interaction. I've navigated enough record stores to be able to dig deep enough to find something. The "thank you" for purchasing saying "I hope you have the best day ever" always comes off as condescending and inauthentic. But I guess little annoyances like this are the other price we pay for rare, decently priced vinyl. read more

We called and told your clerk we would be driving 90 minutes to get to your store because you said you would have an item and when we arrived; you did not. When we arrived, and asked about the item and said we were the ones who called and you said "I don't know...if we have it, it's over there...." and gave a non-committal shrug with no offer to come out from behind your counter to assist in finding it. This is poor customer service. We get the 'no-hold' policy, but at least have the courtesy to say you either sold it or don't straight up tell folks you have an item in stock if they are coming from out of town and act like it 'may' be there. Also, maybe don't say, "Have a really nice day, though!" if you realize people are already upset or frustrated. Offer to at least take credit info over the phone if a person is going to buy more and come in right away. Realize you will gain LOYALTY from out of town customers this way. This is how you get come-backs for a store based in a DESERTED mall strip in PHILLIPSBURG from record collectors who are possibly interested in becoming new regular customers and go that extra mile to support you. read more

This place kicked off my record collection when I got into it. I purchased The Wall Remastered and was amazingly surprised on how much cheaper it was than FYE (I think it was 20-25 bucks cheaper). I love this store. I found them on Instagram and they are always posting daily on what they get in new and used and I have found some gems! The staff always makes me feel welcome and even take the time to talk to me. If I don't visit in a while they also make sure I'm ok. I feel like a friend of the store and always welcome. I'd rank this store in the top 3 in New Jersey (along with Vintage Vinyl and Princeton Record Exchange). Great selection which is constantly updated (check out their Instagram videos!), great prices, and friendly staff. I drove over an hour to get to Spin Me Round. Well worth the trip. Excellent shop, nicely organized and very clean. Prices were quite good as well, appropriate per the condition and age of each record. Two ladies that run the place were very helpful and actually very funny just like their Facebook and Instagram videos. Seems they enjoy running such an impressive record store. Great experience. I wanted to trade some record in and I have NEVER had a good experience at a record store trade in before this. I was hoping for maybe $35 but they gave me close to $50 in store credit. Not one negative word about what I was trading in and the two lady's working were very busy but were happy to help. It was well worth the hour drive and I left with what I went for plus 2 cds and I guess I still had $1 credit left and she gave it to me from the register. I always love a new record store however this guy is clueless. Stickers on the sleeves, I mean 3-4 useless stickers. Stickers to censorship, I mean what year is it? Overall this store has potential but the owner needs some adjusting to reality and his biased views on social media. Unfortunately this place isn't worth it, I could understand if the stickers were placed there when the record was pressed however this guy is just placing white stickers all over the sleeves. I'm a sucker for all used DVD places, so my expectations were so high walking in. Unfortunately the older woman working the register take the "most impolite and rude person" award so far for 2016. After looking through the selection of dvd's I figured I better check on if they took checks, cash or cards. Simple enough. As I walk up, she is talking to another coworker then glares at me and didn't even say "can I help you" or even a simple "hello". I had to initiate the conversation. Then when I asked I got a smart comment back like I was wasting her time. Yup I turned around and went out the door. You ain't gotta like me or be nice to me for any reason, but all I had was a question, ridiculous to be treated like that. Might wanna work on your customer service. read more

Visited this store for the first time over the weekend. Really enjoyed the store, but what happened after is simply unacceptable. Purchased a used media item. Read the return policy. 3 days. OK, pretty bad return policy. Better come home and try the item ASAP to make sure nothing is wrong with it. I popped in the disc. Nothing. Ejected it. Tried again, and again, and again. The disc would not read. No problem, inconvenience but I'll just return it on my way home from work. Went back to the store the next day. Was allowed an exchange for an item of same value but not permitted to get my money back. How is that right? It wasn't buyers remorse, the item did not work. Had to settle for something I didn't want to not be out all of my money on an untested trade. I get that you cannot test every item that comes in the shop, but at least have the decency to take your customer's word for something if it simply does not work and offer them their money back. Will not be shopping here again. Buy with caution, because once your money is in their register, you will never, ever get it back. read more

This place deserves no stars. I called on Record Store Day to ask about a certain album to see if it was still in stock and you wouldn't believe the woman I got on the phone. All I asked was if she could hold it for me and she went completely nuts. She said that it was against the law to hold them for people and when I told her that a record store held an album for me last year she wanted to know their name so that she could turn them in. She said "you want to give me a million bucks to hold it for you because my fine will be $100,000.00" She was completely crazy. I am an avid vinyl collector and will NEVER visit this store. Stay away from here. If that was the owner and I believe it was, she doesn't deserve anyone's busines when she treats people like that. If it was an employee, then maybe the owner needs to know about how their employees treat people. Save your money and take a trip to Princeton Record Exchange or Vintage Vinyl. read more
