When I replied I didn't feel comfortable giving a key and would be able to open house whenever needed or give a code she sent me and email stating she didn't want to do business with me. I told her that I didn't think it was that big of a problem and she never even replied back. I don't think this is the way to do business. I see the other complaints about her and glad I didn't use her.

We had learned of Southern Estate Sales from a friend who had a good experience with them. Somewhere in the process things changed and we became very disappointed their actions and effectiveness of the estate sale. Southern Estate Sales did not adequately support the auction in number of bidders or in the contents of the lots. Dawn Racca, owner of Southern Estate Sales, represented that an onsite Estate Sale would have 200 people waiting outside the door on the first day of the sale. We were asked if we would be willing to do an online auction versus onsite. I inquired as to which would have more response and Dawn Racca said definitely an online auction would have more activity so we chose the online auction instead. The online auction was abysmal. Only 176 of the 354 lots actually sold. Dawn was only able to draw 40 active bidders to the online site and of those 40 biddders at least 8 were family members. Basically Dawn brought in 32 active bidders - a huge difference from the 200 people waiting at the door if it were an onsite estate sale. In our initial dealings with Dawn, she had indicated that we should not have trashed several items and that we probably threw away items that would have sold. She pointed out a few items during the walk thru that would sell well. However, there were many items in the house, workshop, and outdoor kitchen that were not included in the auction, even some of the items she explicity pointed out that would sell well. There were a couple of vintage items (cast iron antique irons with detachable wooden handle and 6 cast iron antique claw feet from an old bathtub) that were grouped with general items. The lot was titled Seasonal Items and the description of the lot contained absolutely no mention of any of the vintage items. Similar vintage items recently sold on eBay for $75 - $125. There are approximately 20+ missing Barbie Dolls that were listed in the online auction that received no bids and did not sell. I brought this up to Dawn and she said they were there when she left. I asked if she took inventory before leaving and she replied no that she did not. Smaller issues but still not acceptable for a business - food containers and bags of take-out food trash were left in the house, there were 2 bags of general trash from the auction activity that were left in the house, and there were toys /trinkets scattered across the floor. It was like there was no respect for the property.

After researching several other companies and private contractors, we decided to collaborate with…read moreSpaceManager Closets to create our study, master, and game room displays, bookcases, entertainment center, and closet. Despite not being the cheapest, the three key factors that influenced our decision were the impressive displays in the showroom, local manufacturing facility located behind the showroom, and the lifetime transferable warranty. Kameha, the friendly front desk representative, made us feel welcome and proudly guided us through the facilities. We had never encountered a company so eager to showcase its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility! The showroom displays catered to various room upgrades, were diverse, and visually stunning. Throughout the design phase, we had an exceptional experience with Chris K., our designer. He possessed an artistic flair, humility, and a customer-centric approach, never exerting pressure on us. His keen eye for space and attention to detail resulted in designs that not only met our requirements but also exuded aesthetic appeal. Working with Chris was a delightful experience! Brian, Chris's supervisor, was also incredibly flexible and played a crucial role in finalizing the deal. He readily accommodated all our requests and ensured a seamless payment process. Wendy and Angela in the back office were exceptionally communicative, respectful, and accommodating. They handled all our communication needs with precision, providing timely emails, phone calls, follow-ups, and re-schedules. The installation was meticulously handled by three crews, each responsible for a distinct room. Their enthusiasm and well-organized approach set the tone for the project. Upon entering, they donned booties, clearly explained the process, and laid out thick cloth sheets and other barriers to prevent dust and debris from falling. Their meticulous attention to detail ensured a flawless installation. Even staying late one evening to complete the job, they cleaned thoroughly after themselves and departed as planned. However, we encountered a few significant delays. The game room cabinet puck lights were delayed due to a lack of timely supplies from a vendor. The glass door was initially damaged and subsequently mishandled by a new employee at the shop. These issues caused the project to drag on for over a month, making it somewhat inconvenient to put all the items back in their rightful places. Despite these setbacks, the company's exemplary handling of the matter and their engagement with us were truly commendable. They helped mitigate the inconvenience and ensured that we were satisfied with the overall project. We would like to personally acknowledge each team member for their exceptional work. Kameha at the front desk, Chris K. the designer, Brian the design manager, Wendy and Angela who diligently coordinated the installation and communicated with everyone involved, Daniel the installation manager, and the most important people, the installation crews: The Three Jesus': Jesus Hernandez, Jesus Cruz, and Jesus Marquez; Pedro; Yiovanni; Abraham; and Joseph. They were all very detail-oriented, meticulous, courteous, and experts in their craft. When asked, each of them expressed their pride in working for a good company that genuinely cares for its customers. Our calls to Wendy, Angela, and Daniel to address a few minor issues after the installation always resulted in positive and prompt responses and service. We are very satisfied with the overall project so far and are enjoying the results. We plan to engage SpaceManager again for other buildouts. Kudos to management for empowering teams to prioritize the customer's needs!

In…read morethe end, we would never use them again, but I will leave an honest review: Positive: Felicity did communicate with us; however, there was still a lot of confusion and we ended up with things we just didn't like or function well for us. The laminate peeled off most of the laundry room, and they did come to fix it. The lighting burned out of different sections, and they did come and fix that as well, but it has been about four times, so it was really annoying but they did fix the things that kept falling apart. Negative: We had some fancy drawers sourced from another one of their vendors, and we changed our mind about adding doors since we didn't like having laminate doors that couldn't be painted and wanted real wood doors. Because we didn't want the doors, we didn't want the fancy, and very expensive drawers since they would be covered by the wood doors that were being built buy someone else; however, we were shocked to see that they were installed. As the drawers were there, we had to buy draw pulls that cost quite a bit, but they will not fit behind the doors being built. There was some misunderstanding during the time I was having cancer surgery. There was no reason to hurry, but Felicity and our contractor, who have a long history kept pushing which was completely unnecessary. The closets sat in the house a year before we moved in. The cost was enormous, and I liked the closets from the Container Store I had built in my previous house much better. The plastic veneer seams are very noticeable and the corners are not flush with the wall and when you try to touch it up, it looks bad against the sheetrock. Now that we are having real wood doors, we have having to remove and throw away the drawer fronts, the expensive handles are not needed. Additionally, the inner drawers will now also have to be remade, and it doesn't look like the good solid custom doors will fit properly and will not look good against the surround of the plastic veneer. At this point we believe we will have to just demo the whole thing and lose the $30Kish for what was built and then have the additional cost of rebuilding it to be more functional. If we had just had it built will real wood from the beginning, it would have been cheaper and nicer. We very much felt bullied by the contractor with the close relationship with Inspired Closets. Also, the doors in the laundry room, continually hit each other because of the way it is designed.
