I am a member of this hospital and they have done everything they can to help me. I am so happy with the service and help that I get. One surgeon in particular has gone above and beyond for me and that is Mr Norman he classes me as a friend and not a patient and has been one of the most helpful lovely people i've met there in my time. The rooms you have for when you stay for an operation are some of the best I have seen in hospitals and have en-suite's and tv and video as well as wireless connection. It is a wonderful hospital the only reason for the 4* is purely because the waiting time tends to be longer then one would want. But I like to believe it's because they do such a good job that they like to make sure they have all details on every aspect. read more

This is a private hospital located in Walderslade, Chatham and was previously known as BUPA Alexandra Hospital. Sadly, BUPA Hospitals recently sold off their hospitals to The Spire Group and they have all been rebadged. We have been fortunate to have private medical insurance for several years and, having had some serious health problems in the family, I am so glad we do. The staff at the hospital, on the whole, are really friendly, welcoming and helpful, with the exception of one or two nursing staff in outpatients. This exception is really down to the fact that when you have to have a 14 hour fasting blood test as a diabetic, it really means 14 hours, not 14 hours 45 minutes, 15 hours, 15 minutes, etc. To be honest, this is the only bad review about the place. We've been outpatients and inpatients and, hospitals being what they are, you don't really want to have to go to one at all, but needs must as they say. You are reassured immediately from the moment you arrive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone and, in the times of NHS targets and waiting lists, you may well be transferred there for treatment instead of the local NHS hospital. Don't hesitate. read more

This is a good hospital to go to, they make you very welcome and look after you. if you are coming for an appointment there are plenty of seats to wait on and they have a coffee machine which is free to use. You dont usually have to wait long to be seen. if you come in for an operation or something they really do look after you, you have clour tele in your room with sky sports on it so makes your stay more comfortable read more

The Spire Alexandra Hospital has friendly staff who always greet you with a smile and in a good manner. Nice relaxing atmosphere with coffee on hand. Tv also to watch while you wait to see your consultant, Lovely rooms on ward with wall mounted flat screen tv, plus telephone if needed. Mobile phones also allowed. I recently had an operation there, and the staff and nurses looked after me very well. (To be very honest, i had a full tummy tuck after losing alot of weight that i had gained during my last pregnancy sometime ago, giving birth by c- section to a 10 an a half pound baby and being left with a large amount of redundant skin on my tummy) My operation was performed by "MR Orkar" who in my opinion is without doubt a wonderful surgeon, as well as a real Gentleman. His quality of utmost care, kindness and down to earth approach puts one at ease in an instant, and he always has the very best interests of his patient at heart.. He's a real people's person. I was, as to be expected quite anxious on the day of my operation, but after a chat with my Surgeon MR Orkar, i soon felt relaxed, happy, and safe to be in his hands.. The results of my surgery is fantastic, and has exceeded all my expectations for which i shall be forever grateful. I'm beyond happpy. Much to my astonishment i was totally pain free after coming round from my surgery, and still remain so 7 wks down the line . (I've put it down to the careful hands of Mr Orkar my Surgeon, whilst he carried out the major surgery) My Husband said the surgery that MR Orkar performed on my tummy is the work of a genius ) Needless to say i'm much more confident after my surgery, and still floating on cloud nine.. Its a real fantastic feeling.. Lol. No more going out in all weather wearing a coat long enough to hide my belly. I'm now walking tall, and would highly recommend this kind of surgery to anyone , who like me was thinking of doing so for a long time but not quite sure. Good Luck, God Bless. ;-) read more
