It replaced the old delapidated Greenwich hospital and now serves a wider community encompassing Greenwich, Lewisham, Woolwich and even furthur afield. Like all hospitals it suffers from budget problems but the staff themselves I have always found to be friendly and knowledgeable. There's a free buggy service from 9.30am to 4pm which will take those less able to walk around the hospital for free. Parking is only free for disabled and there's not a lot of parking so it's better to go by public transport.

They were all clearly very busy especially being a week-end however they were all so caring and efficient. I had nebulisers and also blood tests, ECG, blood pressure test and X-ray and it could not have been a better experience. No one likes hospitals I don;t think howeve the A&E team were fabulous when I was there. Thank you all so much especially the nurse who got my presciption drugs for me as the pharmacy was closed.

Just a quick visit here to pick up some results…read more Whilst I had an evening appointment (after 6pm) this hospital was pretty busy for this appointment time. The hospital seems to be in the middle of no-where. It was dark and I was driving but it didn't feel like there was a close station. There is parking on site and this hospital has a nice remote, green setting. As I say, it was a busy time by all accounts. i did have to wait for my appointment, not sure what the delay was. Staff whom I met were polite and there was the availabilty of free beverages to be had. Waiting area was clean and comfortable and free wifi available.

Even received a call a few days after by one of the nurses to check how I was feeling. Normally hospitals say they will do this but never actually do - once your gone, your gone!

I'm not going to comment about individual services - with the NHS it can be entirely down to who you are due to see, about what and when. So, instead I'll concentrate on the facilities available and access: The hospital is served by at least 5 buses, but only the 261 and R1 actually enter the grounds. Most ward visiting hours tend to be 2-4pm and 6-8pm, though the nursing staff are pretty flexible if you give 'em advance warning. Visitors are pretty well catered for: there is a coffee bar and restaurant open during daytime hours, a newsagent which stays open longer and various vending machines. Tip: Finding a parking space at peak times is enough to give you a coronary however (as do the charges), so I recommend using the Sainsbury's car park next door. The hospital is pretty quick to get to from most places, as it is on the A21.

Poor service. I…read morewent to the urgent care centre and was very disappointed with the service I'm 17th weeks pregnant and was experiencing a lot of pain and feeling generally unwell. I was also worried about my unborn child. The dr that I saw was so pantronising. And spoke down to me as thou I had wasted her time, and was suggested that my pain was just due to growing pains! Please I dont choose to want to sit for two hours on my only day off to be told this. It turned out that I had uti. I asked the dr if she could check the baby's heartbeat as I was concerned she advised that they didn't offer this service due to patient misuse (which she was directing at me)!!! I have worked for the NHS for 18 years. And have never been so disappointed with the service.

I didnt know this but i could phone through to him too! recently my toe took a major battering in a footy game and well its not a pretty site. initially i got on to google for advice on looking after it, as you do but there were so many conflicting pieces of advice that i picked up the phone no appointment or anything and got some tailored advice from my GP! The other Doc at this practice is Dr Bukhari she is the main and long term doc there. i have been seeing her since i was a kid and despite now having reached the age of 31 still calls me "sweety, darling or baby"! Both Doctors show a great level of concern for you health and will insist on monitoring your health until they are satisfied with results.

The Reception Staff were welcoming and very efficient. The Triage Nurse, who I saw within minutes of my arrival, was also very efficient and kind. The Nurse who dealt with me after a wait of only an hour was superb. She was calm, patient, thorough, totally professional, delightful and in whom I had complete confidence. All absolutely brilliant. It is situated just outside of Whitstable and is easily accessible from the dual carriageway or the centre of town. It is well signposted and is open from 8am - 8pm seven days a week. Me and my partner were recommended to visit this centre following advice from an out of hours surgery phoneline. On arrival it was clear that Estuary View has had a lot of money invested in it's construction. It is in attractive building with adequate parking and easy transport links. It is staffed by Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Healthcare assistants who are able to offer limited treatment to patients. As this is a minor injury unit they do not operate at the same level as an A&E department. However they do have the ability to conduct X-Rays. They can also refer you to a doctor at a local hospital (Margate A&E). My partners problem was not able to be treated at this centre but the nurses contacted the specific department in A&E and essentially saved us a long wait as the doctors knew we were coming. I believe that if more money was invested in facilities and staff rather than appearance the centre would most likely take more stress off hospitals than it currently does. Although my partner was not treated there she commented on how polite the staff were and how quickly her issue was dealt with.

My consultant was friendly and efficent and subsequent consultation/treatment was quickly booked in without any problems and follow up dates booked without delays. Having returned for the scan, again this was quick and friendly service. Think there could either be the offer of some slippers and you need to go from the changing room to the area where the scans take place and in winter it's a little chilly. Hotel is clean and meets expectations of a private hospital. Small area at the rear of the building where you will find free parking.

Praise: Upon arrival…read moreI was instantly acknowledged by the Reception staff, who advised me that masks and hand sanitation regulations applied in the Hospital. The Nurse, on time, took me to my room for the day and went through the comprehensive, but essential paperwork. Once completed, test readings were taken. The Anaesthetist explained his procedures in a concise, understandable dialogue. I was requested to change into the medical apparel. Mr. Mohamed then explained the surgical procedure and requested acceptance signatures. I was taken to the Operating Theatre, where all medical and personal information was confirmed. I then woke up in the recovery room and welcomed back by the staff, then taken to my room. After resting, I enjoyed lunch then rested to late afternoon, where my wife collected me. During the resting period, I was visited on several occasions by the nursing staff, Pharmisist and Mr. Mohamed who explained the following reactions after surgery. I was treated so well by the staff from the time I arrived to the time I left. Comment: I was advised to be at the Hospital at 7 am which I did. I had to wait until 11 am (approximately) before the operation. I understood that there was four day operations, of which I was one. Maybe the order of operations could have been arranged so that later arrival times could have been made for the other patients. This is only a minor issue! Alan McLaren

For the majority of the time…read morethey've been ok, unfortunately over the last few years they have really let my family down, they didn't diagnose my dads cancer! Dad had district nurses coming out daily to set up his feed up, he'd had a bad stroke a few years ago which affected his swallowing so he had to be peg fed. So many doctors and nurses had seen my dad but they didn't refer him to an oncologists until it was too late, he passed away 1st October 20016! There's a lot more to this, but obviously too long to put in review.
