Never Again! I am…read moregoing to write about the worst experience I have even had at the hands of a Doctor in a Hospital. The Whittington Hospital to be precise. His name is Dr. Joquau Kravvas from Thesalonica Greece, and he possesses the worst kind of Greek Male Mysogony that exists. I was greeted with "Why are you wearing two jumpers"? It is very cold possible the coldest day of the year I replied. He explained nothing about the treatment I had gathered from the nurse that he was about to remove some red skin that could possible develop into a cancerous growth, in the event it did not. Dr. Brarrack joked with the nurse that he would 'Have To Remove Half Of My Face' due to what he could see. I certainly hoped not. He drilled ferociously for half an hour. It was relentless. I hope I would;d not be scarred for life. The nurse said the scar would bleed for a week or so. It went on to bleed for over six weeks, I had to visit the A&E of UCHL during the Xmas break as it bled soo much throughout the dressing and I woke up to blood on my pillow for six weeks. This was embarrassing as I was staying with relatives for some of the holiday, Three months late the scar is still there. I wrote an honest review of my treatment and mentioned his name. He had it removed. But I doubt that Yelp will allow vanity struck doctors like him to remove an honest review. I like the nurses in the Dermatology dept. and I like the Italian coffee and soup stand that is parked in front of the Whittington, but I never want to set eyes on Joqau Barrack as long as I live. And I would not wish him to cut a biopsy into anyone\s cheek. Not even in Harley Street which he arrogantly brags about. He drilled by cheek with the ferocity of a farmer drilling a carcass,

This place might have a nice canteen and a well-stocked shop as other reviewers have mentioned...but the most important thing (for me) is to let poorly folks escape as soon as they can! Anyway...I had to come to Whittington for a chest x-ray and blood tests. I'd never been here before, but there were helpful staff at reception to point me in the right direction. X-ray time: - I had a note from my doctor, so I managed to register in less than 5 minutes. - They gave me a buzzer, so I could take a seat by their huge windows and look down to the shard and London skyline. - The buzzer went off in just a few minutes - Next I had to wait outside the x-ray rooms...this was less than 5 minutes as well... - The staff were friendly, but speedy (and I exited out of a different door after changing out of my robe...so the whole process was really streamlined.) Blood test time: - This time I just had to take a ticket (at 10:30am I was 10th in line.) - They had so many staff in each of the rooms, that even this was less than 15 minutes wait. - The staff here were friendly and chatty too (although they were also speedy stars) This meant I was out of hospital within an hour, even though I didn't have appointments in advance. Amazing. Other than that, they have friendly reception staff *gasps*, friendly and efficient nurses...and the whole place seems new and clean.

I forgot my form and only had it in pdf on my phone, no problem! They let me email them it and they printed it off for me, no stress. I was seen within twenty seconds of my form being printed out. Unbelievable service it was excellent. The nurse that took my blood was polite and great at taking blood. All over the Christmas period where the NHS is getting slammed. Thank you!!!!!

I do find it hard to fairly rate a hospital considering I generally detest them, and would award…read moreevery reputable doctor a medal for enduring their working environment. This hospital marks the place where I was diagnosed with a chronic condition, so my feelings are especially poignant. Nonetheless, during my multiple teenage stays, my mother would lovingly sneak in whatever gorgeous deli snacks were available in the the locale, so you can't really fault the area though the hospital itself was grim. However no NHS hospital visit has ever been a truly joyous experience!

When my mom fell and broke her hand while we were on vacation, we looked for just a walk-in urgent…read morecare clinic for her to go to, but found that they were inside the hospitals in England. We had a full day + a travel day left in our trip, so wanted to get it take care of as soon as possible. Unfortunately, St. Thomas was unable to help us due to their absolutely extreme and unacceptable wait times. We arrived around 8 PM and waited in an outdoor but tented queue for about 45 minutes before being checked in to the emergency room. Signage was not very clear, so we really weren't sure we were in the right place until we got to the front of the line. There were people in line with us with all types of absolutely terrible ailments, and a few that looked like they needed to be lying down, or at least sitting, but all wheelchairs were full. When we finally made it inside, a lovely nurse named Elle checked us in. She was fantastic and so helpful and friendly. She took some notes down, and offered medication if needed. We sat for about 20 more minutes before being called to another station where we told another person all the same things, and were sent down the hall to "urgent care" where they warned us it would be a 3-4 hour wait. And there we sat. And sat. And sat for about 3.5 hours - observing only 4 people being called back, having x-rays, and then coming back to the waiting room to sit. They made several announcements over the intercom during our visit asking people not to ask reception for a wait time update as it only hinders their ability to work through the line. I believe we only saw 2 people leave with, what appeared to be, a solution to their injury. After nearly 4 hours and absolutely no end in sight, we decided to call it quits, and try to wait and seek help when we returned to the States. Before we left, the receptionist had us go in and speak to the nurse practitioner on-duty who gave us some tips and a sling. She was lovely as well, and seemed sorry that she wasn't able to help us. I know that England's healthcare system plays a role in the terrible experience that we received here, but we sat in this waiting room for hours in hard plastic chairs (still with plastic walls separating them, by the way, making it impossible to talk to the person next to you), and the water jug was completely empty. The ER waiting room had vending machines, so I ended up going back there at one point to get a drink, but my goodness, they aren't even providing the bare minimum here. My mom was in a lot of pain, but there were people here with all sorts of wounds, waiting all night just for a few stitches. After returning home to the US, my mom was able to visit an urgent care and only wait about 15 minutes to see a doctor. She's all squared away now (or on the way to it, at least) but this is such an extremely terrible way to do things as she was in a lot of pain for days.

Easy to access from London Bridge Great service from the healthcare providers Excellent specialist clinic - which is what I utilised Colour coding of the floors and centres is so helpful Clean, spacious and good sized waiting areas for patients & visitors I felt at ease in Guy's Hospital because of the facilities and providers. I've not actually been a patient at Guy's except for the Dental service, which I've reviewed…read moreseparately. However I wanted to comment on the building. What was, I think, several separate towers, have been joined by a lofty atrium. There's now seating areas on the ground floor where you can sit in peace. Up above you can see bridges crossing the space on each floor. It's futuristic and wonderfully calm. I believe they hold free concerts in there too. I come into the hospital from London Bridge. One thing to note is that the entrance that way (via a pedestrian walkway from the station: ask station staff to direct you), is actually on the second floor. If you don't remember that on your way out and head down to the ground floor it makes it just a little confusing!

I was under a consultant that admitted me in a different Hospital nearby (that hospital shall stay…read morenameless) - The consultant did a fantastic job but the experience was HORRIBLE!! When I needed a second operation he took me here at the London Clinic instead. I have to say what a difference!! The front desk people were courteous and super helpful. The ward staff were incredibly compassionate and caring. The recovery nurses were efficient and reassuring and the Nurse Specialists were fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable.. Honestly what a team they have there. Having been to different Hospitals I must say there's a certain culture here that made it special. Thank you.

I was interviewed by this company in the beginning of October for a position as staff nurse. I was…read morereceiving a call everyday from this company. It eventually took them 1 month to make me an offer for the job. At the time of the offer, I was working in a different Hospital. I eventually signed the contract with the London Clinic and I was asked to resign from my current job at the time. After only one day from my resignation I was then contacted and told that the offer had been withdrawn and that the decision was made. From that moment everyone disappeared, no one answered my calls anymore. I found myself unemployed without any reason. I went to the office in order to understand how such a thing could happen. I was kept at the door. They didn't even let me see the person who took the decision. My all personal matter was shouted in the corridor in front of other people. Intimidate by two people , felt discriminated, extremely offended and literally kicked out. It really hurts seeing such a management. Passing from one day of constant calls and people pushing for me to start asap, to then being completely ignored. Do not work with this company. They go for the money, they only protect the client and there is no assurance at all for the employees. If you are about to sign with this company. Think twice before doing it.

I initially put it down to a typo and asked for it to be corrected in line with the GDPR and GMC guidelines that state records must be accurate an honest. The hospital refused. So a patient's word counts for nothing, if your title is Dr you can falsify patient records and your employer will support you. I find this so insane, Veronica's claim doesn't sound plausible, doesnt have a ring of truth and is just plain unbelievable. She and the hospital know they are putting my health at risk by denying me the care to which I am entitled. I wouldnt care if I wasnt forced to fund this charade; but we pay the salaries of the people who literally hate us and want us dead.

My impression after my experience here: They don't have common sense and don't really care about…read moretheir patients. Sat in the Emergency/Urgent care waiting area for four hours before I was told there is no treatment for my symptoms and just sent home. I told the receptionist I was there because I thought I had the flu. I told the healthcare professional that took my temperature and blood pressure that I was there because I thought I had the flu. Neither of them told me that they don't treat my symptoms. It wasn't until I saw a doctor after four hours of waiting that I was told there is nothing to be done about the flu. The doctor was rude, too. I told him I didn't go to class because I didn't want to get anyone sick. He said, "So you came here to get the doctor sick?" THE DOCTOR IS WHO YOU SEE WHEN YOU ARE SICK. THAT IS YOUR JOB. He asked what I ate that day and the judged what I had to eat that day, "It's pretty odd to be eating that" when I'm feeling this way (Ok, so I'll starve myself. Oh wait, already did that in the waiting room). I left with nothing to help me feel better and humiliated enough to want to kill myself :)

Clinical Fellow in Gynaecology Dr Dong Li, was only a Master student in Shanghai, China in 2017,…read moreis permitted at the UCHL to scan women and advice patients without a senior gynaecologist being in the room. Dr Dong Li should not be allowed to see patients without a senior doctor and it should not matter how busy everyone at the hospital is. He is intellectually not equipped to hold a consultation with a patient. Lacks emotional intelligence also. "My love" is not how to address a patient in a conversation. I have left the Hospital outraged about his dismissive from of advising me as a patient, not to forget to mention that he gave me a cancer scare. Before mis-diagnosing a fibroid as cancer... might be worth asking the patient if she has experience undesired, rapid weight loss.?! I regret having seen him and can say for sure, my therapy plan or outcome would have been different, have I seen a different doctor.

I accompanied my friend here one Saturday night a couple of years ago. We waited in the A&E room…read morefor ages during which time a drunk couple walked in, the guy with a bloody hand and a girl all dressed up for the night with blood pouring down her face screaming that she couldn't see. It was as you would expect of an A&E room I guess extremely dramatic. I felt like I was in a soap. It was midnight before friend was seen to but the staff were quite nice to her when they did see her and wrote her a prescription. I had almost fallen asleep before she came out.

This hospital was once a private military hospital and stands on Queens land. It was renovated and…read morebuilt up about 7 years ago when it was opened by the Queen. It replaced the old delapidated Greenwich hospital and now serves a wider community encompassing Greenwich, Lewisham, Woolwich and even furthur afield. Like all hospitals it suffers from budget problems but the staff themselves I have always found to be friendly and knowledgeable. There's a free buggy service from 9.30am to 4pm which will take those less able to walk around the hospital for free. Parking is only free for disabled and there's not a lot of parking so it's better to go by public transport.

I went straight to A&E by ambulance as I was having difficulty breathing because of Astma. All of…read morethe staff from the Doctor who spoke to me, nurses, X-ray staff and porter were excellent. They were all clearly very busy especially being a week-end however they were all so caring and efficient. I had nebulisers and also blood tests, ECG, blood pressure test and X-ray and it could not have been a better experience. No one likes hospitals I don;t think howeve the A&E team were fabulous when I was there. Thank you all so much especially the nurse who got my presciption drugs for me as the pharmacy was closed.
