I didn't even attempt to go inside (cuz that would make me a creeper), but just took a few pictures on the outside. Unlike the movie, there is no "Escala" sign on top of the building, so it may be easy to miss. There is however, a large, multi story, Bed Bath and Beyond store directly across from it. The Escala is located on the corner of 4th Street and Virginia. Not much to see here, but a great place to take selfies and tell your friends back home, you went to Christian's pad.

I don't know of another place that will help you drill a hole in their walls but this stood out to me as amazing. He did a great job too, no problems for the two years I was there. I wish I had time to write in detail all the amazing things about this place, Wave G (gigabit no hassle internet), workout room with full speaker wiring and Bluetooth to hook up your music, awesome package service, rooftop garden, etc The only downside is that this place is across the street from a hospital and there are occasional sirins. I would never have left this place if I didn't want to buy a condo of my own.

Not sure if it's from the inside or the outside. The cabinets look nice. Washer and dryer are dated. It's not gas stove as shown in the pictures. The blinds look old. It's better to visit in person and find out if it would work out for you. It's not a bad place to rent. However the stench from the Bank of America entrance right next to The Cobb's entrance was unbearable: an incredibly strong pee and mold odor that made me want to throw up! So I ended up not applying.

Parking is available where owners get 2 spots and some storage below the building. HOA costs seem pretty steep to me ($1500-2200+/month?), but I am also not a city dweller, so maybe this is normal. You do get a front door person (building is locked at all times), access to a great work out area, movie theater, party room, sun deck areas on the almost top floor, as well as a dog poopie area (never seen this before) with fake grass and a spraying hose--even a decorative fire hydrant for dogs to get that city feel while several stories (I forgot how many), so you don't have to go outside of the building to have your dog go to pottie. All-in-all nice place. Just wish I saw it while there were units on the other side with the view that isn't blocked/won't be blocked.

There are several rooftop terraces with grills, an awesome gym, parking & storage, a large bookable kitchen + socialization space, a bookable theater for movie nights with friends, and guest suite which can be rented by residents' visitors for a small fraction of the cost of an AirBnb or hotel room (studio unit for I think ~$50 per night!). The units have nice little kitchens with garbage disposals and dishwashers, washing machines and dryers in-unit, stainless appliances etc., which was really nice. I had a ton of amazing experiences living here and still own my unit, would definitely recommend to anyone.
