I touched a drum and considered purchasing it. Unfortunately, the staff member got quite hysterical and said to never touch the "sacred drum." The Sacred Geometry classes and art classes were truly enjoyable and I did make multiple purchases from Bear Soul Stuio & Rock Shop. Some of the ladies working there don't seem to be interested in high quality customer service and their lack of engagement is disturbing. I like Lakewood and that neighborhood. Supporting local businesses is something that I consider a high priority. Their lack of focus and interest in superior customer service has made me decide to take my business elsewhere. As a former business owner, I just can't see this business being around in the next five years. My advice to the new management is to think of yourself as a customer. Would you appreciate someone interrupting a presentation that you paid to attend? Do you think it's wise to leave a door wide open and let rodents into a building? Do Better!

Most crystal shops tend to be located out in the suburbs or farther out. The Rock Shop is located inside the same building as The Studio Cleveland and metered street parking is available outside. Given the nature of this less busy street, it's actually not super difficult to find a street spot, especially if you come during a non-peak time (think not Saturday afternoon in the city). The inside is a gorgeous, thoughtfully curated emporium of absolutely beautiful stones, jewelry, home decor, apparel, books and more. The minute you walk in, you are overcome with feelings of beauty and relaxation. If you're new to the metaphysical world, particularly crystals, know that there are a lot of fake products out there or unethically sourced items. Inside is incredible, two storefronts and a full basement full of an eclectic assortment all scattered about with only a vague kind of organization. Among the broad categories of items were artwork, books, clothing, cowboy boots, decor and just about anything else you could imagine. I was looking for wooden masks since I have a large collection; of course I really didn't want to find anything to buy, I was just shopping. Scattered about the store were quite a few different masks and other carvings. I finally noticed two masks hanging on the wall behind the main counter, a very detailed Balinese mask and a smaller Japanese Tengu Mask. The owner seemed knowledgeable about the masks, which was welcome and a bit surprising. The Tengu Mask just talked to me and the price was affordable, plus it was small enough that I didn't have to do a major redistribution of my collection. After a short negotiation we came to a reasonable price and the Tengu mask is now hanging in my home. A great cool spot to just browse around and see what hits your interest.
