Also, every time we've stopped by, everyone there has been warm/friendly/courteous...and mind you, it's always been during their crazy Christmas Season. Also worth noting...they're very "stroller" friendly. With all the "things" one could "bump over" or "knock off"...they just welcome you in and ask how they can help! My favorite holiday of the year every year is less than a month away. Oh I can't wait! While everyone's excited for thanksgiving and Christmas, I'm here counting the days until Halloween. Oh what a joyous time it is for me every year. It's been quite some time since I last stepped in a Spirit Halloween store, I wanna say long before Covid. I decided on a whim to return. I did notice this year there appears to be less locations than the previous years. I am a bit disappointed. Luckily this new one sprouted up. You name the costume they probably have it. I am a little disappointed this location had less of a selection of novelty items than I'm used to seeing displayed. I like to see window gels and cool items like cups and mugs. They did have some but it was a limited selection. Maybe the other locations have a better selection I hope. Other than that the place looked great! Very clean and organized. The staff was very friendly. I'll surely be back but I'll shop around the other locations in town to see if they offer more novelties.

It's very possible that they provide an excellent product. However, it is frustrating (and unusual) to have a business no-show for an appointment. It sounds like this may be a good company to work with if you have a fairly flexible and open schedule and don't have specific time constraints.

In my experience, pumpkin patches take place on farms, or they're organized by church groups, providing a sort of down home country experience, with hay rides and pig races, that sorta thing. So when I got home, I checked out their website, and now that we've visited, here's my understanding of this, um, experience: + Not local, "Seasonal Adventures is currently the largest privately owned pumpkin and Christmas tree retailer in the country." Yes, we're getting a Christmas tree farm in November, evidently. + Doesn't benefit local farmers, the pumpkins are shipped out of Ventura, California. + Not seeing anything benefitting any charity, but I'll throw in this asterisk: This company does try to accommodate people with special needs. That's important, because many kids and adults simply cannot attend festivities like these, due to sensory issues. Good job, guys. That said, my inner swindle skeptic is hollering flim-flam after dropping $60 on two kids during just one hour. A trip down an inflatable slide, just one, cost a dollar. Games were free, but prizes -- every kid wins -- were poor quality and pricey, a plastic beach ball ran three bones. The cost of a pumpkin? Starting at $11. In the end, this didn't deliver any of the charm of a legit autumn festival, it was understaffed, and we felt deceived. At the same price point you can spend a day at McCall's, and support a great local farm.

The Prop House is exactly that, a huge storage facility stacked floor to ceiling with props of all sorts. When a film crew plans to shoot in New Mexico, you can bet they come to this place, first. Furniture, light fixtures, period clothing (there's an entire aisle of costumes from Dances With Wolves, randomly, and genuine WW2 shirts and jackets from vets who donated them after the war), signage, oh goodness the hats!, pianos and organs, pool tables, knit blankets... it's astonishing. Most of the articles fit an Old West narrative because, surprise, we shoot a lot of Westerns around here -- but there's plenty of modern stuff, too. They rent in bulk to studios, but they also lend some of the stuff out, free, to aspiring college film students. Hours are by appointment only. As an event planner, my imagination ran wild. If anybody knows where I can find a saloon, believe me, I'm your huckleberry.
