My daughter & I were in the area, and before that, we needed to exchange a costume we had bought from Spirit Halloween. We didn't have the costume in hand, but we still decided to stop by to see what ideas we could change our family matching costumes this year when we arrived, we walked around the store three times. I could tell the workers were giving us rude stares once my daughter and I agreed on a theme we left the store to go home to pick up her costume to exchange. Once we returned to the store, the girl at the cash register started giving me attitude and told me she had to call her manager back to see if they could exchange my purchase. When her manager came down, she started giving me more attitude, saying she couldn't exchange my purchase for something else because the items I was returning the store was missing plenty of inventory on the same things and how they would get flagged and in trouble if they exchanged my items. I feel instead of pointing fingers at random people, they should be more on top of inventory so innocent customers don't have to pay the price for bad customer service. Also, if you hate your job, find a job that makes you happy instead of being bitter & rude to people you don't know. read more

Came in to look around and purchased one small item but while checking out everyone was staring at me and my husband eyes glued to us the whole time while checking out and a girl with short blonde hair was staring at me the whole time while checking out and giving me a dirty look and her eyes glued to me not looking away at all giving the dirty look while another girl checked me out not sure why it was just rude and awkward never going back to this one again read more

Needed a variety of Halloween fun costumes so I searched through many types of different costumes. One I am admiring was the Tim Burton patch up doll display I thought was quite clever. This location is the new Spirit Halloween at the Hill Country Galleria not Slaughter lane location. The photos posted I felt it would make me return for items I like to purchase. The latest items are all on display including Jason knife welding scary guy on Halloween how fun! The prices are fair but some pricey including the large rubber masks. Kids costumes in all sizes perfect. The store is so large you have to go through many different parts to seek items. But overall a great store for buying anything you need. The face makeup is different than most stores it carries many colors which I havent seen in other party stores. I do believe this is one of my favorite areas of town and will return to buy more party halloween things needed. Helpfull staff of nice people to assist you. Happy yelping.......folks. read more

I bought a used fog machine at Spirit Halloween store, the guy that worked there told me I could return it and that it had all its parts. I got it home, of course it didnt have all of its parts, which means, of course it doesnt work. I take it back to the store and am told that they won't return the item because I bought it used. I said that their employee told me I could, and the manager said, 'well he wasnt authorized to say that'....neat, how would I as a customer possibly know that? Absolutely frustrating. My first time shopping at spirit for costumes for my kids my total was around 150 after taking a few mins there at the counter I removed 3 things told the cashier we weren't gonna take them because total was more than I thought. Well I got home and noticed I was charged for them. Went there today to let them know they still charged me , had my receipt but they did not honor their mistake instead directing me to call customer service. I figure that was just to get rid of me.
