There are lots of blind boxes as they are the hot thing right now. They also carry a lot of Japanese snacks that you won't find in a typical US grocery store. There is no shortage of plushies and there are so many other great things for gifting like water bottles, decor, stationary, cosmetics, and even tshirts. When we arrived we were greeted and when I asked where the birthday bears were she showed us what she could get. First, this store is dangerous, there are so many cute plush options and if I was careful I could spend a lot of money. After grabbing the bear, my niece chose her little outfits and accessories. I created an account online and so we just paid the cost of her age for the bear and whatever the costs for the accessories were. She ended up getting a cute dress, a birthday hat and sparkly wand. After we added stuffing to her new bear, the whole team came over and sang her happy birthday. Seriously such a magical event and I am so grateful for adding a little whimsy to our day.

After calling every Southern California location, Elam's was the only store with the inventory I needed, even though I'm based in downtown LA. Bella and the management team were incredible--they processed my order over the phone, accepted a shipping label from my corporate UPS account, and personally dropped the package off at UPS at the end of their shift. While waiting properly behind the designated line sign to purchase an item, an aggressive male customer began crowding and verbally harassing me to move up past the boundary. When I directly asked the cashier on duty to enforce the store's line policy, she explicitly agreed with me that customers are supposed to wait behind the sign, but then followed it up with, "Yes, but it's okay." It is absolutely not "okay" for a boutique toy store in San Diego to permit a grown man to harass a woman shopping alone. By refusing to enforce basic civility and line boundaries, your staff actively validated hostile behavior over a sensory toy. When I contacted corporate regarding this incident, I received a completely generic, automated brush-off stating they hope I "visit again soon," completely ignoring the safety breakdown that occurred under their watch. Allowing this type of unchecked aggression to slide in a toy store where families and children shop is incredibly dangerous. This total lack of accountability and failure to expect basic respect from adults is exactly what escalates into full-on physical brawls over merchandise. I now actively dread going to this location because management refuses to hold disruptive adults accountable. I am putting this on the public record now, and when a major escalation inevitably happens here because staff refuses to maintain basic order in the NeeDoh line, I will be back to update this review. Shopping in El Cajon, California…read more.. Since we were nearby at Dickies (my cousin's request), we drove over to Elam's Hallmark Shop for my monthly free greeting card. (I receive an email to remind me of this perk!) The store just scans the barcode that's sent to me... easy! This Hallmark Shop is better than the ones on O'ahu that charge tax! Yeah! This shop didn't take my money for tax! I was shocked! LOL! The card was totally free! Thank you! I even got Gold Crown stickers to seal the envelope... what a nice touch, eh? My cousins wandered the store and found greeting cards they liked, too! I saw Snoopy, Stitch, Mickey, etc. It was such a pleasant experience with air-conditioning, organized, clean aisles, beautiful displays, and friendly, helpful staff. They're organized& interactive, to keep the kids occupied as they wait, which I appreciate! The builds are held outside too though, so double check weather conditions! The store is always as organized as it can be with many little fingers grabbing everything at once. Lol.
