While trying on a jacket, it came apart--and instead of treating us with respect or understanding, the general manager accused us of intentionally damaging it. We were then forced to watch a video of ourselves trying it on and were told we were responsible for the damage, even though it happened during a normal fitting. We understand the store may deal with difficult crowds in Boystown, but we came as paying customers who've supported this place in the past and even recommended it for its unique and fun items. To be rudely accused, made to feel like criminals, and then told we were banned was beyond disrespectful. The staff member who helped us try on jackets was clearly annoyed to even assist us and was vaping in the store--creating an unwelcoming atmosphere from the start. Management handled the situation terribly and made us feel completely unwelcome. Very disappointing experience all around. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with the owner directly, as the current GM clearly does not understand how to treat paying customers.

Many times, thrift shops have a yard sale vibe to them, but Ragstock feels like a regular retail store. There's a mix of vintage and new merch. Make sure you check out both floors as there's different categories of clothing between them both. For example, all of the vintage flannels are downstairs, along with sweaters and jackets. Chelly and April immediately jumped in to help and made what could have been a disaster so much less stressful. They helped me replace all of my balloons and decorations, and they even let me borrow a hand pump so I could inflate the balloons that couldn't be filled with helium. Their kindness, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile meant so much to me, especially since all of the Party City stores had closed and I wasn't sure where else to turn. Thanks to them, my mom's retirement party came together beautifully. I'm incredibly grateful for their help and will absolutely be back for all of my future party planning needs. (It was the day before Halloween.) Their website says they have parking in the back at the Montrose store. I'm not sure where in the back because I went to the back and there was a parking spot beside the one that I was in and then a UPS truck backed into the only exit, which is truly only large enough for a single vehicle (he was inches from the curb on both sides). So I had to wait while the UPS truck picked up a bunch of packages because the entire way was blocked. Luckily, that only took about two minutes, but I still wouldn't park there because who knows how long it might take the next time. There's parking in the front on the street.
