Had a beautiful experience here the other day with my boyfriends mother. She has never been wine tasting and I wanted to take her somewhere different. I've never been to this part of the area before and the views and reviews seemed up to par. So we drove up during the weekend and the drive itself was just wonderful especially during the fall season. We arrived right when it opened and the location is breath taking. There is so many spots to sit outside and walk around. Different views and decks. It was just wow. Very cute. On the inside they have big windows and high ceilings. The owner is just wonderful. They have been open for selling wine since 2002. And he really knows his stuff! We did a wine tasting which was free for the first 3 but after that it is $1 per taste. We did about 4 more after that. We grabbed our favorites for a walk around the area. They have such a good taste all of them! Also they have these slushees for the summer season. My boyfriends mom tried both and said pina colada was her favorite. We had a wonderful time, bought some bottles. And we will be back again! read more

I would have to agree with much of Buster P's review. There is much to love about this winery. Nice facility, GORGEOUS views, reasonable prices and good selection of wines (though most tend to be on the sweet/semi-sweet side.). Unfortunately, some of the aspects of service lack the panache to make this place stand out. First, upon arriving, we waited for several minutes for the server to come to the counter. When she came to the counter, there was no welcome, no introduction, and no offer of wine tastings. In fact, we had to ASK to taste the wines, which we did. While I prefer both tastings and servings in wine glasses, I'm ok with tastings in little cups, but they need to be filled more than 1/3 way to get an adequate tasting. I think you get about 8-10 cc's to taste--so about 2 tsp. It really isn't enough to get a good sense of each wine. They give you three tastings for free, which is great, but if you are paying the required $1.00 for each subsequent tasting, I would expect more than a couple of tsps. The gal working the counter told us virtually nothing about the wines. Big loss for them, because I'm sure they would sell more if they actually promoted their wares. They have cheeses and crackers for sale, but she never pointed that out, either. We enjoyed a glass of wine outside, which was very nice. They seem to host a number of occasions--two or three here today, so if you are just stopping in, you could feel a bit out of place. But the grounds are big, so you can roam to find a space. There were no chairs at the places in the lawn, but people "in the know" brought their own lawn chairs. Probably the most "un-winery" part of our visit was the young woman SOUND asleep on the sofa in the tasting room. We arrived as soon as they opened, and we didn't see her arrive, so it is hard to know why she was sleeping there. But it made it feel really weird. If we're in the area again, we'll likely stop by, but we won't make a special trip. read more

Great view from the deck over looking the fields down in the valley. Enjoyed a relaxing day visiting my daughter and our two year old grandson. They said the wine was great and I will take their word for it. I got to be the DD. Will probably go back in the spring time when the trees are starting to bloom. Not a fan of this winery. We had a group of 8 people, and the patio seating is terrible if you want to sit together. All of the tables and chairs are bolted to the floor so we couldn't sit together. As a social venue, that's a deal breaker. Wine was just average. We do two wine trips / year but won't be back to this one. read more

Having visited many wineries around the country, including Napa and Missouri, I found that serving wine in plastic cups to be very cheap. The tasting was very disappointing as well. The server didn't tell us anything about the wines we were drinking, even after telling him we were from out of the area. Tasting Room: was very nice, an amazing view; however there were very young kids (babies and under 10-year olds running around. This is not a place for a child of any age. The winery was fairly busy, but not too busy to be an annoyance. Wine: Very sweet, need more of the traditional wines found around the world. Wine had a funky plastic taste, probably from the plastic cups. The tasting pours were maybe 1/4 of an ounce, which barely gives you enough to taste. The bottles were reasonably priced, plastic cups of wine were as well. I don't know if I would go back, I love wine, but drinking out of plastic cups is not how any other winery I've visited (30 or so) serves glasses. I'm okay with plastic for a tasting, but if you buy a glass of wine serve it in proper glassware. Glass helps maintain the temperature of the wine which is paramount to the flavor. read more

Drove 45 minutes to do wine tasting and was extremely disappointed. Gal behind bar poured a couple samples all at once and walked away. We expect to be "sold" on wine but we just walked out the door because of the poor service. read more
