I will come off as a snob but I will note that having visited spas all over the world, spirit spa is definitely up there in my top 10! The level of service offered is exceptional and their registered massage therapists(RMT's) are very skilled. I've been a customer with them for the past 6 years. If you are covered via your health plan they offer services that are direct billed through Blue Cross, bring your card. If you have time you could even request access to the pool and hot tub at the courtyard Marriott hotel. They provide you with a locker and towel service. There is always freshly infused water, coffee and an array of herbal teas for your enjoyment. Layers Halifax provides them with wonderful sweet treats for clients. The overall ambiance is amazing, there is a true spa feel once you enter the establishment. The spa area is off on a corner and helps eliminate noise from the salon, very well designed and serene. My sister had a haircut at the spa when she donated hair to "locks for love". I have also had facials and mani pedis here :) did you know you could bring your wine here for a girls mani pedi? While it might be a little pricier than some other spas in the city, Spirit Spa knows what's what when it comes to relaxation, beauty, and pampering. Their staff always seem legitimately happy to see you and they really are the best of the best at whatever it is that they do - hair, massage, waxings, manicures, pedicures, or whatever else you save for those special 'me' days. The spa is broken up into distinct areas for each service too so that while you're getting your nails done with the girls, you don't have to worry about chatting away since the massage-goers are kept off to their own personal quiet-zone. It's a nice touch that makes for a more relaxing experience all round. I've been in for countless massages that have all been complete heaven and once for the MANLY MAN pedicure (it's called something butch, I just can't remember what). It was a completely new experience for me so I was a little nervous but I didn't feel out of place at all. Just another dude getting his heels sanded down - no big deal. If you're looking for a brow wax and have sensitive/acne-prone skin, I unfortunately can't recommend Spirit Urban Spa. I've gone to Aveda salons for my waxing for the past 5 years or so, but recently moved to the area and decided to try out Spirit in my search for a new go-to spot for a brow wax. The brow shaping was ok - not bad, but I didn't walk out feeling great about how my brows looked. The part that really turned me off was waking up this morning with red bumps spreading from temple to temple right across my brow line. Including some large angry looking bumps. I've not broken out like this from a brow wax in years. The atmosphere is great, and the waiting room is lovely (they have an outdoor seating area that I would've checked out if I was staying longer). The service is ok - when I called and asked the receptionist who she recommended for eyebrow shaping she said "everyone was good" and didn't have anyone in particular who was known for brows. They also don't list their estheticians on their website which maybe should have been a red flag - I like to do my research ahead of time. The products used (I'm not sure which was the culprit that broke me out): Initial lotion - I think this was to remove makeup and/or prep my skin for the wax. It felt and smelled nice. Unfortunately the esthetician got it in my hair. Wax - I noticed it hurt significantly less than other wax, which was nice. Because I'm used to Aveda salon products it's possible that this new wax didn't agree with my skin. Post-wax lotion - used to reduce redness, it contained menthol as one of its main ingredients according to the esthetician, which is known to be irritating, so probably not the best choice for post-wax. Sunscreen - I was planning on walking back to work and it was quite sunny outside, so the esthetician recommended applying some sunscreen. She took me out to the reception area where they have makeup set up for purchase and pulled out a container of mineral makeup from the display. She specifically stated it wouldn't break me out (without my asking). The brush she used looked like it was dirty though, so, another potential culprit. I'm still interested in trying out Spirit for their salon services, but won't be returning to their spa. read more

For Christmas this year I decided to treat myself and my boyfriend to the couples package at Spirit & it was absolutely amazing! The package includes a couples massage & pedicures. This was my first time at Spirit & my first massage & it was a great experience for both of us! I was a little nervous for the massage but my therapist immediately made me feel comfortable & relaxed! We talked about some of my tension & back problem & I received an excellent, specialized massage. I've been to a few places in Halifax to get a pedicure & this was by far my favorite! They used a Dremel to get rid of any rough, dry skin on my feet which was very effective! I have very ticklish feet & I hate the feeling of having my feet filed so this was a great alternative! Spirit also has a large selection of nail polish to choose from, I had a hard time picking a color! My boyfriend has extremely dry, cracked heels due to eczema on his feet & the job that they did on his feet is absolutely amazing, his feet look & feel completely different! We were totally impressed with how knowledgeable & effective his aesthetician was, after all the hard work she put into transforming his feet she even recommended a great cream to help keep his feet in tip top shape! Overall we had a lovely day & left feeling totally relaxed & renewed! I can't wait to go back & try out some other treatments! read more

The person who wrote there is no relaxation space is retarded, there is a relaxation space in every corner of the building. I had the $125 January deal of a half hour massage, body scrub and mud wrap, with an organic facial on the side. It took three hours and it was divine. $125 is actually pretty good for three services (not including facial) and the amazing shower and shampoos that are there for your use. I love shu products. As a beauty product junkie, I loved that the staff was knowledgable in BHA/AHA. All of the staff was courteous with offering tea or refreshments, offering use of the showers, always asking if I was cold or uncomfortable. They explained each product they used on me and were on point with making sure I was comfortable with everything. They all called me by name. I visited Spirit for the first time this week for a hair appointment, and was thoroughly impressed. I went in looking for a trim and some subtle ombre highlights - and since that trend isn't super popular in Halifax, I was a little nervous about how it would turn out. Ashlee did an amazing job with the highlights, making sure the color was perfect for what I wanted. My hair has never looked so good. And she even remembered me from doing my hair years ago at Kara's! The salon/spa is beautiful, and the service from everyone is great. I have no problem eating a miniature pumpkin spice cupcake while my color sits. No problem at all. I don't frequent spa services, but if I treat myself at some point I'll definitely visit Spirit based on my experience at the salon, and I'll definitely be back for future hair appointments. read more

I moved across the street from Spirit Spa back in 2008. One day as I was exploring my new neighbourhood, I decided to pop in and get their list of services. The holidays were coming, and I was curious about 'eyelash extensions', as I figured it would be a great way to glam up my holiday look. I was right. That was almost 4 years ago, an I have been seeing Allison every 3 weeks for touch ups since! I've also had a number of other services done at Spirit, including pedicures, Shellac manicures, facials and massage. I have never had any complaints. I've probably seen most of the aestheticians by now as well, and all are very friendly and professional. The one time I had some nail polish bubble after a pedicure, I was immediately brought back to have it fixed at no charge. The front desk staff all recognize me by now and always call me by name. They always offer a drink (infused water or even lattes) and sometimes even a little brownie. The waiting area is comfortable and the decor gets changed seasonally. You can even wait outside on their patio if weather permits! You can book group services, and it is fun to have a cpl of friends with you in the pedicure room. The facials I have had (Vitamin C) have been unreal, and they pretty well give you a massage during the facial! Anything other than mani/pedis are in private rooms, which also have a separate, much quieter waiting area. I've been to many spas in Halifax and surrounding areas, and I really wouldn't consider anywhere else, unless someone gave me a gift certificate! The search for the perfect spa can be endless, but I happened to luck out with Spirit Spa. Before they moved to Salter Street, the only complaint I had was the cramped quarters the staff were dealing with. Now that they're in their new location, I cannot rave about this place enough. I only go to the spa for two things, and Spirit does them both to perfection. Christina is, hands down, the best waxist in the city. I've gone through quite a few to find her! Friendly and easy going, she's also fabulous at what she does. You are not going to find any stray hairs after a visit with her, let me promise you! The second service I go to Spirit for is a massage every now and again. Not just for relaxation, but because I often suffer deep muscle knots that only Nathan can remove. Again, I tried a lot of different hands before I found the winning pair here. In 45 minutes, Nathan had undone knots that had caused me years of pain. He is worth his weight in gold! The receptionists are always gracious and helpful, and they also have a great selection of cosmetics to browse through as you wait for your appointment. The rooms are large and soothing, with gentle music that isn't the usual wind chimes and waterfalls. Now that it's finally warming up, come early and enjoy the view from their back deck. By far my favourite spa in Halifax. I tried many places before a friend recommended Jenny. Trust me ladies, you cannot do better than Jenny for waxing. This is as close as it will get to "enjoying" your waxing appointment. She's funny, friendly and efficient. And when it comes to waxing, efficiency is key. No one wants to drag that out. Staff were also extremely helpful in planning a recent group visit for my book club - we had manis & pedis, drank some wine, and brought our own snacks to enjoy while discussing our book. My one visit to this spa was AMAZING! It was also my first time at a spa, I really enjoyed it even though I didn't know there were other amenities and found out afterwards. I had a WONDERFUL message! (i wish I could afford to go back more often!) I had a pleasant experience with my waxing, it being my first time ever she was very nice about it! My pedicure was wonderful! I love my feet looking not disgusting! I had a hard time picking out a colour! My only regret was not booking more stuff to do! A close friend of mine works as a massage therapist at Spirit Spa so I knew exactly where to go when I was shopping around for a spa in the city. I'm not regretting the decision to go at all. Each staff member I was in contact with was very friendly and helpful. My therapist was very knowledgeable and not only provided me with a relaxing massage, but was also able to explain why I was experiencing pains and the things I could do to help prevent them in the future. Relaxing music and modern decor really makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. Although I didn't have time to take advantage of these services, clients are also able to use the steam room, hot tub and pool, and are welcome to stay before or after their massage (or other service) to drink lattes and hang around the spa. I have a tendency to jump around to different hairdressers depending on who can fit me in when I decide on the spur of the moment that I want a cut. Ashley has fit me in twice now and if I hadn't just moved across the country, I would actually start booking her in advance! I recommend giving a couple of ideas of the direction you want and then giving her free rein with your hair. She knows what she is doing. My last two visits have been my first experiences with color and I have been thrilled! I get comments from friends, family and random ppl on the street! Her color treatments have been bold, surprisingly reasonably priced, and well done. The cuts have been edgy and unique, but well suited to my hair texture and low maintenance lifestyle. The salon had the cucumber water during my first visit and I am now hooked! The Terrace is a great place to relax and enjoy a view of the harbour. I love how all the staff seem to get along, I get the impression that they enjoy their careers and coming to work each day. There is definitely a camaraderie you don't see everywhere else. They help to make the whole three hour+ process is relaxing and fun. Though I am unlikely to make it back because of the distance, I highly recommend Ashley and the Spirit team to anyone searching for a great new do! read more

I go to Spirit for haircuts, and I've never taken advantage of their spa services. So this review is for hair! I've been going to Spirit for probably three years now. When I first came to Halifax, I did the rounds at a whole bunch of hairdressers. The ones I went to either did a poor, half-assed job, or were so trendy that I felt completely out of place. I first started going to Spirit when I saw an ad that a student stylist was offering students a low rate for cuts. I saw her (I can't recall her name) two or three times and was very happy with the results. Then, she left and moved to another city. I kept going to Spirit, cycling through hairstylists until I found someone I felt I clicked with. I've been getting my hair done with Tara for about a year and a half, two years now. She always takes her time layering my very straight and fine hair. She knows that I'm not afraid to lose length or go funky. Plus, she's a sweetheart. Apart from the stylists, the atmosphere is great. I love that you get offered coffee or tea while you wait. It might seem like a small thing, but I find the hair washing stations to be the most comfortable ever. I don't know if it's because of my height, but I've always found those things incredibly uncomfortable. The ones at Spirit are the only ones I've ever had my hair washed in where I didn't sit up with a huuuge kink in my neck. So yes! If you're shopping around for hairdressers, I recommend Spirit. I think a hairstylist is something pretty personal, but everyone there is very nice and very good at what they do. read more

After my first visit to Spirit Spa I was hooked. I now get massages on a pretty regular basis and my massage therapist is extremely knowledgeable and gives the best massage I've ever experienced. I've also had pedicures and a body wrap. All staff are very friendly, professional and welcoming. On top of superior customer service, the atmosphere is so relaxing with a lot of natural light. I've been touring all of Halifax's spas over the last two years, and Spirit was recommended to me as quite possibly the best of the best. My spouse and I went there for a couples massage, and I have to say, the environment of the spa's lobby / salon facilities is among the nicest I've been to here - a modern, minimalist look that makes the most of its space. While the lobby atmosphere was great, I'm not entirely sold on the rest of the spa. Our room was pretty generic / bland, the music was terrible, and the massage therapists noted our beds were 'transportable' ones which explained why my fiancee's head rest was squeaking / falling out of the bed during his massage (a mistake they fixed). You'd also think they would offer more of a post-spa experience, but I felt like we were pretty quickly ushered out. With all the space they have, Spirit could definitely add in a private lounge area for customers to unwind with a cup of tea or glass of water - you could basically sit in the lobby again and that was it. To the spa's credit, they aren't any pricier than any other spa in the city (at least not for massages) so it's not like the cost would be a hindrance. I just don't see what all the fuss is about! read more

Laura (hairstylist) did an absolutely amazing job on my updo. I showed her several styles I wanted & she executed beautifully w/ her own twist. I received so many compliments from my hairstyle - even from several of the ladies that worked there- one who was getting married in a few months who wanted something similar. Christine did my makeup (she also doubles as an esthetician) created the most naturally glam makeup. I was leery about using mineral makeup as I'd never used mineral or jane iredale makeup before, but the effects were beautiful! Can't say enough great things. The place exudes the spa feel. I've been here a few times now for RMT treatments with Nicole, and I have to say, she is amazing at what she does. She finds out at the beginning what your problems are, and where you would like the focus to be. She will also check in to make sure the pressure is just right. Most treatments/massages I've had from others are very 'overall' massages. There doesn't seem to be any focus. With Nicole on the other hand, it feels like she gets right into each and every nook and muscle, which for me feels so much better. She is very professional, and has always been on time for my appointments, which I know can be difficult given that customers don't always show up for their appointments when they should. Trying to find someone equal to her in Toronto has proven impossible thus far. She has magic hands! The Spa itself is huge, very clean looking, and very well lit. They offer a plethora of other services. The front desk staff have always been very friendly, offer to take your jacket, and offer water while you wait. I got my wedding hair along with wedding hair for my bridesmaids and mom done here in early August 2015. The salon itself is adorable. The waiting room is fantastic and the front desk staff are exceedingly lovely. All of us loved the hair stylists. Interpersonally, they were fantastic and made us feel very relaxed. The only reason I'm giving them 3 stars is because the execution of the hair styles was not too great. We are from the U.S. and due to traveling time constraints we didn't get to have run throughs for our hair. On the phone when we made our appointment, they told us this would not be a problem. However, despite that we each brought pictures of up dos we liked, only one of us had a hairstyle that looked even remotely close to the photo. I wouldn't say any of the hair was bad looking per say, it just wasn't what we wanted or discussed. As the bride, I ended up asking if they could tweak my hair a bit to make it look like the photo I brought in, which they did accommodate. However, then the hairstylist that was fixing my hair basically told me it was my fault I didn't like my hair because I didn't come in for a trial beforehand. First, that was logistically impossible for me. Second, they told me verbally that this was not necessary! And third, don't be mean to a bride!! She did end up improving my hair, but it was still not like the picture I brought in. And they did end up comping my hair for the confusion. So, as you might guess, my review feels very mixed. I've been going to Spirit Spa since they were located on Barrington Street. (We gals always enjoyed their ladies night cocktail fundraisers!!) Their location now on Hollis is lovely and modern. The minute you walk in you are greeted and fully spoiled. They'll take your coat... offer you water, tea, or coffee. The waiting area is funky. I like the contemporary decor! Relaxing!! I have had massages, waxing, mani/pedies, hair, and self tanning done in the past and always left pleased and relaxed!! Today my esthetician was Alexandra. I had 3 services (waxing, mani/pedi) done with her. It was nice to have the same person doing everything. She was sweet, attentive and VERY professional! The spa and notably Alexandra offer professional, friendly and engaging service! The costs are at par with most spas the only down side is parking. I used the parkade near by but you can also use valet parking at the hotel. Check with the spa before hand to confirm that. It's great to see this business thriving and expanding!! Over the moon elated about Spirit's downtown location and have been very much looking forward to writing this review! My friend and I made appointments last week for an appointment on Wed. Aug. 1 in hopes of having the ultimate girls day, as we were visiting Halifax from the US. My treatments included a 60 minute massage, a 30 minute facial, and a manicure. I absolutely cannot say enough wonderful things about my massage with Nathan. I could almost see his angel wings as soon as we were introduced, and I ended up receiving perhaps the best massage I've ever had. My friend and I had not experienced the great vacation we had expected up until this point, and I was extremely stressed, about the trip and life in general. Without sharing hardly any information about myself, Nathan knew as soon as he got to work that there was something going on with my left chakra, which correlated to many things in life that I was struggling with. During our time he reminded me how critical it is that I love myself, how to breathe a bit better so as to relieve the heaviness I was feeling, and how to project positivity into the universe, rather than ruminate about my worries and overthink about the what ifs in life. I cried tears of relief during my treatment and wish so badly that I could schedule regular appointments with him, however, frequent flights from Los Angeles to Halifax would be pretty pricey! He is a gem, and if you are lucky enough to schedule an appointment with him, you will walk away feeling more healed than you thought possible. My facial treatment and manicure with Shawna made me feel just as wonderful. She was very positive about my skin and treated it with great care and comfort. She told me about the products she was using and had such a kind demeanor that I felt as though I was just having a relaxing day with a new friend. My manicure treatment was wonderful as well, and she even brought me some of the best tea I've ever had--Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait (DAVIDs TEA)--which I enjoyed during and after my manicure. She was also able to squeeze in a few minutes to scrub my heels, as they were quite rough. I appreciated that very much, and it made me feel refreshed from head to toe. She is a queen! To meet an angel and a queen in one day was the best blessing I could have asked for, and that Wednesday remains my most favorite day of my trip! read more

Love this spa!! I would say it's the best I've been to in Halifax. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I have only been able to get massages as Spirit, since my Bluecross Insurance pays for it, but I'd love to try out some of their other services. When you walk in for the spa you are taken to the waiting room to sit on comfy chairs and enjoy the natural lighting and peaceful environment. When your masseuse comes to get you (I always go for Brad, he's the best!) they lead you into "The whisper room" where they offer many kinds of treatments. The massage room itself is wonderful, the table is heated and the comfiest I've been on and the aromatherapy oils smell amazing. Afterwards, you are able to get a shower in their clean bathrooms and they have towels and hairdryers for you to use. It's a great experience. Their cucumber water is to die for and you can refill your own glass while waiting for your massage, and you're encouraged to stay and relax afterwards. I've been to Spirit a few times with all occasions being wonderful. Upon entering, you get the feel of the spa being moreso a hair salon, products all around, friendly staff at the front desk - the scents of lotions, perfumes and spa treatment ingredients. Upon checking in, I was asked if I wanted a beverage, which I kindly accepted - they offer hot beverages, but I chose to stick with water. My massage therapist was very kind, gentle when needed and was able to un-tie a few knots from my back which released lots of stress! Overall, I've never had a bad experience here and recommend it to everyone. I came for a wash, cut and style, and I probably could have spent all day here. The spa is incredibly feminine, with lots of cushioned seating and great service. I was brought a cup of delicious cappucino upon arrival, and was treated like royalty for the mere hour I was there. My hairdresser (Karen) was very skilled and spent a lot of time taking care of my dead-ends. Plus the head massage is to die for, I was in complete heaven. The spa manager, Julie, reached out the next day after my treatment to thank me for my feedback. She truly listened to my concerns and assured me that she would be taking my suggestions to the rest of her team to see how they can implement positive changes. She said they always welcome feedback and are happy to make changes to make the client experience better! She also wanted to ensure I was taken care of and asked how they can make it right. She offered me the opportunity to come back and enjoy a 90 minute complementary Sweet Skin Facial. I met with Christine, one of the spa's most experienced estiticians, and she talked me through the process. It was a complete 180 experience to my previous experience! Dim lighting, under blankets and comfortable, relaxing music. There was a back massage, facial/neck massage, hand/arm massage, and even a scalp massage at the end included! The products are all organic and smelled INCREDIBLE. Like fresh, juicy fruit. The facial included her examining my skin and doing extractions where needed, and a couple different scrubs/masques. So I just wanted to come back and give the spa the review they deserve. I would definitely recommend Spirit Spa, and particularly Christine at the Salter Street location. In comparison to a microdermabrasion facial I got at Gentle Touch in Park Lane Mall, this wasn't the greatest experience. Firstly, you don't change out of your top. Which surprised me because at GT I changed into a towel type top and lay under the blanket with a towel headband. This experience made it feel more spa like and relaxing. Again, not the case at Spirit. I did have headband and a towel in the neck of my shirt but did not change and lay on top of the blankets. This resulted in skin flakes going down the back of my shirt and all in my ears when I left. Secondly, the lighting in the room was very bright. It did not feel relaxing at all. At GT, the lights were dimmed for a more comfortable soothing vibe. At Spirit the whole thing almost felt more medical and like a procedure...not relaxing. Thirdly, I didn't feel like the products used smelled very good. This isn't a big deal, but at GT, the scent of the products was natural yet soothing and relaxing... again, spa like! Fourth, at Gentle Touch my treatment ended with a facial massage and neck massage! I didn't expect it but it was a really nice surprise and a great way to end the experience. Made me feel relaxed. And lastly, Spirit overcharged me. On the website it said it was $134.00 for a microdermabrasion with custom peel. I was charged $150.00. I had to come back in and get my money back and get the difference back. Wasn't pleased about that. Won't be going back unfortunately and I don't recommend. I'm still a regular at Spirit Spa and they seem to have changed the stuff I mentioned in my last review which is awesome. The manager messaged me about it actually so you know they're actually diligent in ensuring customer satisfaction. They have nice soap and lotion in the bathroom again and I had a nanaimo bar from a local bakery last time I was there. Love this place. Going for a pedicure tomorrow actually and I've been looking forward to it all week. read more

Here's a review for all the lovely girls who like to look pretty ;) Ok so to start with.. (My first time here) I booked an appointment with spirit spa for manicure and getting an appointment wasn't difficult. I went there on time and was pampered with warm neck rest. Spa was neat and gave that pampered touch. The girl who did my manicure was nice. I also tried the paraffin wax. It feels amazing. However I am not satisfied with the service because the nail polish started to come off just in a day (I don't put my hands often in water) So I call them and book an appointment again to redo it. Obviously! They didn't charge me for it. I paid 55$+tax and unfortunately it dint turn out to be a great experience. read more

There was a bit of miscommunication on the color I was looking to have done while I was at the salon but the staff have reached out to correct it. Hair is hard to do and with someone like me who knows nothing about hair and how to describe what I need it was basically a long shot on whether or not I would get what I was looking for. I really appreciate the staff taking the initiate to help me reach my hair goals and look forward to coming back. read more

Spirit Spa is as good as it gets. My reason for getting a massage was my left hip was killing me and I had been hobbling around on it for a while. I went for a massage randomly with Nicole. She was truly excellent, not only making my hip feel like new, but explaining that it was a muscle imbalance that was causing it and suggesting I work on my glutes. Because I work at a desk, this was likely the root of the problem. It has been over a month since my really excellent massage and the problem hasn't recurred. In addition to this, Spirit Spa is a real spa, so the experience of visiting there adds a whole other layer of pleasantness to the experience of getting a massage. They offer all sorts of extras to their clients, I didn't get to take advantage of them on my first visit, but I certainly will in the future. Love. read more

I should start by saying I'm not really a spa person. Or at least I never thought so. The only reason I ever tried it out was because one of my best friends was having her birthday shindig there. You can make it a pretty girly day by going early and enjoying their pool (or the Marriot's Pool) and the steam shower (which really is pretty fantastic!). The first time I went I tried the pedicures and I will confirm here and now they really are the best in the city. I've gone back multiple times for them and have recommended them to even my pregnant friends. I've also had some waxing done there and had varying experiences. I would recommend Sandra - she's quick, relatively painless and has a soft touch (without feeling creepy). Most of my friends swear by the massages and in Nathan in particular, but I have yet to have one done myself. My treatment of choice is the clinical facial. My first experience sold me in the first 5 minutes: the esthetician shone an impossibly bright light in my face for a couple of minutes and then diagnosed the exact issues I had with my skin. She then recommended a treatment plan with both expensive and inexpensive options (some were even drug store options). Not only was she knowledgeable and understanding but she didn't try to push products or treatments on me as other spas have in the past. She told me what I definitely needed and explained other things were optional. After each treatment she made herself available (even on days she was not working) for any questions and gave me lots of information on each treatment and their side effects. I even called her in a grocery store freaking out about a product and whether or not I could use it. That is client-service delivery. The best part? She recommended outside help. To say that the recommendations/treatments worked is an understatement. I feel like I could do a late night infomercial and am silently kicking myself for not taking before and after photos (mostly for the shock value). Seriously. This face could sell anything now! Although I really do love this place there are a few issues. If you are heading to Spirit for a clinical esthetician beware that they do not stay long. I'm not sure why and have often wondered if there are some staffing or management issues, but in the past year I've gone through 3 different estheticians. It can be frustrating as they will all recommend different things and it does take some time to get a rapport or trust going with each other. It is also not the cheapest spa. The location and polish of the spa make it pretty easy to charge a fair amount so don't be surprised when you receive the bill. I had my pre-wedding facial here, two days before the wedding. I had the fruit pulp one, without extractions, to make my skin healthy and dewy for the wedding weekend. I've had a couple facials before at random places and they didn't change my life, I'm also pretty snobby about skincare and invest in high quality products and don't wear makeup. The atmosphere and beauty of the spa, especially the waiting area, is phenomenal. I had a coffee and cucumber water while I was waiting (7 mins at most) and filled out the form. My person collected me and asked if I needed to pee beforehand which was super great, and the entire experience was amazing. It was a little over $100 with tax and tip and totally worth it since I will just be getting facials somewhat seasonally (probably October, Jan, April) These two days BEFORE my wedding were probably the best few days of my life and my skin looked phenomenal, one of my bridesmaid was annoyed at how great my skin looked devoid of makeup (haha).
