Laser Tag is $12 per person, with discounts available on Karaoke if you bundle. While a game of bowling isn't cheap as chips, it certainly is lots of fun (especially after a few drinks at the bar). BYO is not accepted at Strike Bowling. If you're a keen bowler, join the social team for regular meets and competitions with other avid bowlers. See their website or ask in store for more details. It is also a great way to socialise in addition to improving your bowling style. There is also a games room which houses at least 30 different types of games from car racing to fishing for soft toys. Monkey Mania in Top Ryde doesn't seem too bad of a place at first sight: There are climbing structures, a soft ball shooting range, wobbly bridges, a tunnel, slides, even a jumping castle and an under-5s area. But the equipment is not well maintained, not updated and all of that also comes at a price (i.e. bad value). The toilets had some problems too, with broken doors and cockroaches coming in for some business. Somebody please check the kitchen! There's members pricing, which during school days is $10 and $13 on weekends and holidays, while adults pay $4.50 each and get a lousy coffee included. So, given you're there on a rainy weekend with your two you end up paying $35 if you committed to a year's membership, planning to return to make it worthwhile. If you just came to have a look as a non-member you'd be paying $12 on school days, $15 on weekend and holidays and $4.50 for each adult and still get the same lousy coffee. If you can't be bothered playing with your kids that's $26.50/child for a "Drop 'n' Shop": Drop your kids off, while you have a better latte somewhere else. And if you stay there and prefer to look at your phone then you better have enough data left, because there's no Wi-fi for adults. So what do you get there (apart from lousy coffee and the standard battered and fried fare)? There are structures on two levels, with the ground level mostly taken up by a soft ball target area, with those vacs (or blowers, whichever way you see it) that suck in the ball and move it to the air gun area. There's also a dark 'n' dingy ground area behind the slides that look forgotten or overlooked in planning. The upper ground has access to slides, the pneumatic gun shooters, bridges, a tunnel, a tunnel slide and a jumping castle. The latter one is probably the highlight. If a jumping castle (air trapped by polyethylene fabric to make the same bouncy) is the highlight then that's a poor outcome for a play centre. You can almost hire them for cheaper than the entrance price for members. There's also a mini race track for "sort of" dodgem cars, but the track is just a circle and most of the time 80% of the cars are broken, plus you have to pay extra for a 5 minute ride: $3. On top of all this, and this is probably my main gripe with Monkey Mania in Top Ryde, is the cleanliness. I understand that kids are not the super clean type and neither am I, but there's always food somewhere on the ground and layers upon layers of dust on the structures. How hard would it be to vac that out once every 6 months. The owners probably think that once these are setup there's no more maintenance necessary. Wrong! Lollipopland BTW is much better maintained, though while adults don't have to pay it's also costs a bit more for the kids. Mentioning maintenance: in all the time that we've been going there (yes, there's unfortunately not much else in the vicinity in terms of indoor play) the layout hasn't been updated. Other play centres add new gear or at least change the layout. The kids got bored quickly and it's time to venture further out.

Unlike the US, the food prices here, while a bit higher than areas outside, are not the high gouging prices you see in the US. You can buy an unlimited ride pass (which is a bit pricey), or you can buy single rides for certain rides. Most rides require a pass which is a downside if you want to try certain rides. We rode the ferris wheel which was a lot of fun and gave us some great sites of Sydney Harbour. We loved that the lines aren't long at all, certainly not by US theme park standards. If you have time, swing by to try a ride or two or three and some theme park food.

I agree with my fellow reviewers when they say it may be Sydney's best playground. If you can elbow the kids off the swinging, rotating disc, definitely do so, and take a ride. It's a surefire good time. And what about the slide? Yes, you can glide down the wide slide with several mates by your side (couldn't resist that one, sorry). During the weekdays around lunchtime, however, the Quarter becomes the "play and lounge" center for the nearby corporate crowd. With public ping pong tables (BYO paddles and balls), it's a good place to get a little physical without turning your business suit into a sweatsuit. And while you're letting your hair down, bring your lunch on over and sunbake in the public lounge chairs. It might just be the perfect pick-me-up to get you through the rest of your work day.

There are a couple of staging areas where the sheep herding and whip cracking shows are held. The reason why I am giving the farm only a 3 star is because the "meat" animals such as pigs and cattle were confined to areas only as big as their bodies, such as cattle had their necks tied tightly to a ring in their pen and they really couldn't move. And a sow was laying in an area only as big as her body touched the ground, with her suckling piglets on top of her and between her forelegs and hind legs. No other room. I wonder how many hours a day the "meat animals" are so tightly confined like this, where they cannot move. Are they released every day to a padlock where they can roam around? An employee told me that all the animals on the farm are kept as "pets" and they do not rotate them to the dinner table. But the Farm is kept clean of animals feces and smells. By the way, I asked the cashier how much a typical house that surrounds the Farm, costs. She said MILLIONS!!!! MILLIONS!!!! MILLIONS !!!! I said how many MILLIONS??? 2-3 Million? She said Yes, 2 M AUD and up.

Recently I got to visit this zoo while on holiday. I was going on a cruise from OZ to NZ and I flew…read moreinto Sydney early to check out a few spots before hopping on the cruise. I went on a tour to see the blue mountains and one of the stops was the Sydney Zoo. We were lucky enough to get to the zoo early so it was practically empty. I live in the states so I was extremely excited to see the different furry animals. I got to see some kangaroos, wallabees, and some adorable koalas. I was overjoyed to see the wombat and I was lucky enough that I got to see the Tasmanian devil pop out for only a moment. I thought the zoo was pretty spacious and nicely set up. I really enjoyed the one section of the zoo where you could see the monkeys,giraffes, animals, etc from the above walkway (boardwalk). What a great concept for a zoo/animal park, the animals are just naturally in their environment while people can see them from above. The highlight of course was the little blue penguins. They were so adorable!!!!!!!!! Ambiance: 5/5 Food: N/A Service: N/A

This is one of the best aquarium shops I've been too. There are loads of well stocked tanks with a…read morehuge variety to chose from. The shop also makes tanks to order and has some pretty cool custom tanks on display ready to buy. The staff are knowledgable and very friendly. On two occasions I've been into the store with a hundred questions and two menacing toddlers who like to put grubby hand prints all over the tanks which would put any aquarium shop employee in a bad mood however not these guys! In addition to all the live stock they also carry dry and frozen foods and dry stock including pumps, filters, breeder boxes, water treatments and the list goes on. They will price match and are slightly more expensive than some of the bigger pet shops so do a bit of price research before purchasing dry stock.
