Working with Cribworks Digital Audio is a whole new experience and definitely not one you'll get at…read moreany other recording studio in the world. Merel Bregante, owner, producer, drummer and lead sound engineer, is among the nicest and most professional people you'll ever meet. His 40+ years in the music industry really shows with his attention to detail and knowledge of everything music. The list of talented studio musicians and singers he offers is unbelievable. He records with the best gear available and really cares about each and every artist. He even works with artists in other countries on both recording and mixing projects. If you are a musician, singer-songwriter or band that wants a real award-wining professional to record or mix your next single or album, I highly recommend that you contact Merel. "The Cribworks Digital Audio is a full production, recording, mix/remix, and editing facility." He prefers to work with those in the Country, Blues, Rock, Folk, Soul, Alternative or Adult Contemporary genres, but is open to all. Also, just heard, Cribworks is moving to a small ranch in the Eastern hill country..."a tad north of Austin, Texas". (Liberty Hill, Tx.) He's building a much larger studio that will sit in a pristine and relaxing country setting.

From the owner: I am an award winning audio producer, engineer, musician. I own my own...my current studio/business…read morealive and well since 1995. I ask myself this question often. I mean there are a bunch of really cool studios in and around Austin so why would people come to my little place to record or choose to send files for me to mix? Hmmmm?? Well, knowing that this site is about introducing people to The Cribworks, I decided to make a list of things that I felt were cool about 'The Crib!' Excellent Room design and Equipment Superior sonics Truly world class musicians -available and affordable Four decades of successful recording experience Easy Online Project Management Direct Engineer/producer Communication at all times Comfortable, creative environment Competitive rates Removed from the hustle and bustle. Nestled in the middle of ten acres, six miles from the nearest small town. Yet only 30 minutes from The Live Music capital of the World. Once I was done with this list I realized that most of these things were not unique to my studio. So, if that was the case, then WHY??? I am a player first. I KNOW what it feels like to walk away from a project knowing that it was the very best that I could give. So, having said that, there is a phrase that I HATE! That being "OK, that's good enough!" In my years doing this, I was taught, over and over, that you work until it's the best it can be. This is my way. It's not about the gear, the room, the money. It's about the artist.
