Had a great time here mid-week with my 5 year old daughter. I've heard it gets packed on the weekend and even sometimes doesn't allow entry if it gets over-capacity so consider calling ahead. They have a variety of water activities here that are fun for all ages. On a hot summer day Spivey offers a nice refuge from the heat. Our favorite activity was probably the lazy river. It's a solid journey which you can do by yourself on a single tube or with a friend/family member on a shared double tube. Many people also just choose to float/swim with the current without a tube. According to the website, it's the longest lazy river in GA. They have a kiddie pool with a slide and water playground all surrounded by very shallow water. My daughter didn't like the bucket which splashes everybody every few minutes but the couple of slides are fun. We did not try the "flowrider" surfer ride the wave type attraction ($5) but it looked fun, especially for the older kids. They also have two mat type big slides and two inner tube big slides. We also enjoyed the sports pool with the volleyball game and basketball hoops in another part of it. Finally there's a small splash pad not far from the concessions stand inside. Overall it's a good value as it's only $13 (kids under 48 inches))-$15 (adults) admission price and even though it's not a huge 6 flags type place, there's enough to do and see to make it a half day trip from the Atlanta metro with less stress than a big water park. One thing I'd recommend to them, I wished they provided locks free or for a cheap cost instead of needing to buy a lock for their locker systems or renting for $5. Also, the season pass deal is great ($50) but they've sold out of those already. We would come back to try the "sky trail" (must be 48 inches) when it's open as it looked fun. Note: 2 year olds and under are free but need to wear swim diaper and seniors/veterans also get $5 off admission. There's also a discount after 5pm for a "twilight" swim.

loads of fun for the family. the only thing that would make this place better is maybe adding more slides for older kids.

Considering the price was free it's hard to beat. I found very little information about these guys…read morefrom their Facebook "webpage" or Google listing. No one picked up the phone the few times I tried them and I wasn't even 100% sure they were still in operation. They ARE OPEN and it's a pretty cool place! Browns Mill, like all of the summer water facilities around Atlanta it seems, is run 100% by teenagers. There are advantages (cheap labor) and disadvantages to this (lack of professionalism, lack of consistency on policy; such as letting us in for free after first saying there was no entry at 6:00 when it closes at 7 and then actually closing at 6:45), and general chaos on a busy summer day. Lots of teens running around may or may not be a problem depending on who you are. Why are kids always vomiting in pools? I've seen this at four different facilities this summer and it happened not once, but twice at this pool yesterday. Just lean over and do it in the grass. I suppose it's not fair to evaluate to how often kids are (or are not) vomiting at an aquatic facility but it did mean we didn't get to try some of the main features of this park. It would have been nice if they also put up a sign about not using this sections as we arrived after the first vomiting incident and we only knew not to go in because others were avoiding it but didn't see any visible grossness. My two little ones liked the small lazy river and layout of the place. The pool looked fun but you have to pass a swim test to go to the deep end and this test changed depending on which life guard you asked. Even going in with your kids they just aren't allowed there. They also have a small kiddie pool section and a splash pad section. The two big slides looked fun as well as the kid's water playground. I would make this trip again and even at $7 (advertised local dekalb county residents price) I think it'd be worth the cool down on a hot summer's day.

WG Aquatic is best of the ATL aquatic center options we've experienced through the past decade. Two pool areas, including competition swim/dive areas, allow for team competitions and practices. Space abounds for personal workouts and lessons as well. While you're here for water sport, take a deep breath (above water) and notice the fresh air! WG Aquatic has figured out we mostly prefer oxygen to chlorine, and their fresh air system (not the official name) works. Spacious shower/changing rooms and roomy pool decks allow you some elbow room, and the upper-deck stands give spectators a great vantage point to see their favorite swimmer shave a second off that PR. The secondary pool area is a little warmer and gives space for personal workouts while the main lanes are hosting team practices. And regardless you'll have year-round swim options here. If we didn't live in the hinterlands across the city, we'd enjoy frequenting for water adventures.

There are several playing fields for team sports. There is also a quarter mile track that encompasses one of the fields. Our most recent visit was in January, a cooler winter day. One field had a couple of guys playing soccer. Another field had a guy setting up for what looked like drills of some sort. My family and I enjoyed a stroll around the track to just get outside and move a bit. One side of the track borders the parking lot; the other borders an industrial facility of some sort. Again, not particularly scenic, but if you need a track for exercise, it certainly gets the job done! The aquatic facility is pretty impressive. We have not used it, but I have received a tour of the facility. My tour did not include the changing rooms and showers. The indoor pools looked sizeable and were not too crowded on the day of my visit. But for me, the most impressive area was the outdoor swimming area. Lots of slides and fountains and fun. Looks like a great place for a day of leisure and play. We will definitely be back to enjoy one day in the summer!
