If i could give 0 stars i would. Starting off with the apartment, which was okay but not at all like the photos or advertised. The only good thing was the apartment complex itself. Next is the service The 24 hour service is a joke, and apparently a non working faucet in the bathroom is not an "emergency" for them. When the microwave stopped working about 8 times, they said "use the switchboard and do it yourself". They would take 3-4 days and 10 calls to actually come and fix something. The apartment staff was also very rude and entitled. Next and the most important thing which i'm still waiting for is the billing. The bill incorrectly multiple times, from discrepancies in the bill, and charging again saying "we forgot to add this amount". Like are you kids?? Very unprofessional. And the most important thing which im waiting for is my security deposit. One staff member told me i will get it back within 3-4 days, then another said a week and another said a month. After mailing then multiple times and getting no response, I will be going ahead with a court case soon. Do not use this service at all. read more

This company sucks. Beware they're falsely advertised short-term rentals. We rented in The Woodward Building in DC through VRBO. The apartment was NOTHING like the photos. They charged us for a rollaway even though there was a pull-out couch and they refused to refund the fee. The apartment's heat didn't work for a full day of our stay. They didn't provide adequate bedding and my daughter had a very uncomfortable night. Nobody in the building or Churchill Living could get us a blanket until way after we went to bed. Horrible customer service, false advertising, a money-grabbing real-estate corporation that couldn't care less about its customers. Stay away! read more

Worst service I have dealt with in 10 years... Our property was engage by the Churchill Living to rent our property so we had no choice. While they have a "24 hour service" it is really only to push out communications... "is it done yet" , "is it done yet".... WE were diligent. But when THEY failed to comply to the rental contract we got no response. Gutters were not cleaned first year per contract, and second year after reminding them AND finding them a vendor they didn't pay the bill which I had to dog the rep. Now other maintenances has not been completed PER contract. We have received no information for 2 weeks as they speak legalese in emails to say services were provided but they dont know to who OR when...Really? LOL GSA Get them off your vendor list! I wish I had read reviews before staying with them. This has been the worst experience I have ever had with renting. Absolutely terrible customer service. While I was getting my application together, I was getting phone calls from them constantly, including to get a picture of my credit card. As soon as the reservation was confirmed I received an alert from my credit bureau that my SSN was found on a scan of the dark web. I don't know what to make of that yet, but at the very least their data isn't secure. The stay at Living at Tribeca in DC has been a nightmare. The water from all faucets smells like rotten eggs, something I've never experienced in 10 years living in DC. When I called customer service I spoke with someone who got a hold of the building manager who acknowledged this was an issue. She recommended I let the water run, but that's not enough when you don't know why your water smells like rotten eggs. Everyone I have spoken with since that point has denied that acknowledgment ever happened. The customer service motto here is deflect, interrupt, and stall, but whatever you do, do not allow anyone to speak to a manager. I even had one of them insult me by saying maybe the problem with the odor of the water was my hygiene. It's been a week and nothing has been resolved and now that I want to cancel the rest of the reservation they are making this just about wanting a refund as if there is no justification for it. Worst customer service I've ever received. We got great communication and service as we booked and worked with them remotely for our move across country. However upon arrival we were told the parking we paid for was not available then argued with us for a full day on if we paid for it or not. We were not greeted kindly. No welcome package. Simply a note with the wifi password,room key and comment to find somewhere to park. We then had to carry all our luggage several blocks with 2 young children in the dark in a new city. The problems didn't stop there. There was broken glass in carpet of the apartment, false eyelashes under the coffee pot, not enough towels, the dryer condensation hose leaked causing a puddle in the hall, the blinds don't work, the cable doesn't work, etc. The list goes on and on. There is a fire alarm in the kitchen drawer that beeps every 20 minutes. Why is it in a drawer and not on the ceiling? There are neighbors that yell and fight in the halls at all hours of the night. If they aren't yelling there is the neighbors TV at 2 AM. The biggest problem is the property is managed remotely. It took me 5 days of promises that someone would be there shortly before I got to a hold of a manager. Then a few more days of nothing before they moved us to another apartment. Once again I had to report issues. Lights not working, the bathroom door handle is about to fall off, etc. My son is highly allergic to dust. We both start sneezing so I check the filter on the central air unit. It is dark grey with a thick layer of dust and clearly been used for way too long. You pay a $150 room cleaning fee. What are they doing with that because clearly they are not doing a thorough cleaning and walk through between guests. Guest should not be the ones reporting these issues especially if they just arrived. There is no excuse for these issues as the handyman was the only one that was quick to respond. We've been here almost 2 weeks now. I can tell you this place is pretty but not functional. Large beautiful kitchen but it is barely stocked with the bare essentials. You could fit all the kitchen dishes, silverware, utensils, cups, mugs and pots/pans in the dish washer with room to spare for whatever things you needed to buy. Clearly guests needed to buy kitchen items by the random items that are in one kitchen but not the other. The blender is missing the base that holds the blade. I picked it up to use it and the blade were just sitting in the cup. Large bathroom with large jetted tub that you can barely fill half way before your water tank runs out of hot water.There is a TV mounted on the wall above the toilet and on the same wall as the lounging side of the tub. So there isn't a way to comfortably lounge in the tub and watch the TV or while using the toilet so what is the point? Tons of closets. Seriously. This is a 1 bedroom with 3 large closets, the other had 4. One was a walk in. Why couldn't they fit a full size water tank for the hot water in one of these closets? Shelving for linens but you have to really fight to get enough towels for your whole family. 2 adults, 2 children, 2 towels. They knew when we booked there was 4 of us and these are advertised as fully stock and furnished apartments. We're not suppose to need to supplement. They advertise on site parking. It is online and on signs in front of the entrance however it took us 8 days of fighting after we arrived days to get them to arrange parking at a parking garage over a block away. The mattress is the worse I've ever slept on. No matter what way I sleep I wake up in pain. I slept better on the pull out sofa bed. We were promised our nurses promo rate would still be valid if we needed to extend our stay a week or two. They lied. Take my advise do not rent from them. They do not follow through with any if their promises. This is a scam. read more

Oh My God.....Do I have a story for my fellow Yelpers/humans even THINKING about staying at one of these properties. So there I was being displaced from my apartment during COVID due to a lovely neighbor with a massive water leak. Found what looked to be beautiful long term rental apartments for my 1-3 week stay. NOPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEE. I checked in and while the property itself is beautiful, it's your classic bait and switch with very cheap appliances and furnishings inside the apartment. BUT WAIT THERES MORE. I ask and get approved for an extension for another week, no problem per the email traffic. In the afternoon a building lets himself into my apartment while I'm in there to collect keys! Nope, still living here. You think I'm done with this story, nope. I get another extension and AGAIN per email traffic I am "all set." Fast forward to 4 hours later, ANOTHER person walks into my apartment as I am getting dressed, but this time they've double booked my room! So they handed my keys to another person who made a reservation. The man obviously feels bad that he has just waltzed his way into my apartment. So obviously livid, I call downstairs and they are as incompetent as ever. I told them I am currently packing my belongings and leaving as my safety and privacy are clearly not on their mission list. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! As someone who understands the evil that lies out there. The fact that they hand out keys to occupied units like candy on Halloween is beyond me. The fact that it happened twice is also extremely alarming. Currently it has been "escalated" since its "alarming" to them however not "alarming" enough to be addressed within acceptable time. UPDATE: 2-3 days passed with 0 communication from the company. I was able to locate the VP of customer relations email address online and reach out to her. She was very apologetic and was competent enough to understand the gravity of the situation and what it could have been. Fast forward to 2 weeks later, my credit card was charged about $1100 which was NOT authorized, the credit card provided was authorized for incidentals only. They immediately refunded my money after realizing the giant note on the file with the correct CC to be charged. A nightmare. If you value your physical safety and safety of your belongings I highly recommend another property group as Churchill has been easily the most incompetent and hastily run "company" I have almost ever run into. read more

My experience was really awful. I rented an apartment at the Newseum in DC for several months when I moved to DC for work. The Newseum property management staff were great but it was Churchill who was responsible for the upkeep and furnishings. The apartment I was put in was dingy with bulbs missing, dirty carpet, a bathroom that was too dark to do my make-up in, vertical blinds of different lengths in the same window and many of the furniture pieces were actually broken. I ended up having to put in multiple requests for repair, cleaning and replacement on a weekly basis throughout my stay. Since I was working during the day I had to give Churchill permission to enter my apartment when I was not there. So every week I had strangers in what should have been my home while I was out. It got very very old. On top of all of that, they were incompetent when it came to the billing and double charged me (my company paid for my move so I think they thought they could get away with it) several times so I was always having to call and spend time getting them to correct things. At the end they sent me a "final" bill which was paid. Months later they sent me another "final" bill - that was a result of earlier errors they had made. I had had enough and disputed the amount (again). Finally to get things over with and to get them out of my life I told them I would pay half. I never heard back from them. Eleven (11) months later they sent me an email saying they were accepting my offer to pay the half. I was pissed - 11 months is too long. So I refused to pay. They then made an unauthorized charge on the credit card I had used when I first rented from them - over a year and a half later. We rented through them and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Look for other options. We had to quickly find a place to stay for our family while renovating our house. Short version is this: after paying them over $20.000 for 2.5 month stay their customer service is horrible. After we let them know our move out date, got their confirmation and a lady on the phone said they will send us revised bill that was supposed to be around 2500 we get an angry email saying that if we don't pay $7000 immediately they will send us to collection. Really??? After all the money we spent don't we deserve a nicer customer service? Or a better record keeping? They were super fast to respond before we moved in and then of course after that it took awhile to get a response. 3-bedroom furnished apartment for $8600 a month only came with 1 parking space and neither they nor the building management were able to give us another one. Really, for $8600 a month? We had to pay daily parking in a nearby garage. On their advertising it said cleaning service is included monthly, guess what? It never happened. My advice to you is find another company to rent furnished apartment from. They don't deliver for the money they charge. read more

My wife and I rented from Churchill Corporate Services a lovely, well located, and expensive apartment in a full service building in Washington, DC for 32 days in September/October 2011. It should have been a marvelous experience but turned out to be awful. As did my dealings with Churchill. The apartment had a terrible odor. The odor was so bad that for three days we stayed out during the day and had to wear masks in bed in order to sleep at night. On viewing it after the long weekend the head cleaning person said the carpet was filthy and had it cleaned. We didn't mind being on wet carpeting for two days as it reduced the odor, but not enough unfortunately. The living room furniture had the same stink. We got Churchill to change that furniture but the odor was in the replacement furniture too. We were rebuffed in our request for another apartment, so we asked for a third furniture change which finally made the apartment livable. The first 20 days of our 32 day stay were miserable. In addition to paying premium rent, we made a major expenditure, of sweat more than money, as we bought and went through 4 cans of Febreze, physically moving all the furniture both times to be sure we reached all the possible sources of the odor. At the end of our lease we asked the DC Vice President for some financial consideration on our rent to partly compensate us for our suffering. He declined absolutely. I appealed to Churchill's CEO who also turned me down flatly. As I persevered with him over a month or so he made, probably just to get rid of me, a token final offer, a $250 credit on a future rental. As it was barely more than a day's rent. I declined it. Churchill has a responsibility as a national company to satisfy its customers. Instead of doing that it has shown us callous disregard. read more

We needed a short-term, minimal furniture rental to tide us over in a new house in DC until we moved our belongings from our previous home. Ivy at Churchill was a real gem to work with in terms of accommodating our budget, our needs and our time frame. I was concerned about rental furniture, but it was all incredibly clean and in really good shape. Ivy even moved heaven and earth to be sure that the rental furniture was picked up in the morning on the same day that our own furnishings were arriving in the afternoon. After searching at many other used and consignment furniture stores, I bought a couch here in March 2013. It is just what I wanted and the gentleman could not have been nicer. I prefer used furniture because I would rather buy a $900 couch for $300 than something new for the same price that would fall apart. I just completed a long-term furniture lease and although the furniture was adequate and the monthly payments were charged to my credit card like clock-work, the final furniture pick-up was a total disaster. I contacted Lea Mez three months ahead of my agreed upon pick-up date/time to be conducted on a Friday and even checked in a week prior to confirm we were good to go. Then two days before the scheduled pick-up, Lea sent me a short e-mail stating that due to a broken down truck, my furniture could not be picked up until the following Monday. I tried repeatedly to contact Lea via e-mail and phone before I gave up and contacted my leasing consultant Ivy Schueftan. Based on the short notice and limited availability of my apartment's elevator for reservation, Ivy and I agreed to have the furniture picked up on Monday, 8am-10am, after which I e-mailed Lea again to ensure she was also on the same sheet of music. The next day, however, I received a call from Bianca (who I had never spoken to before) and she said she was calling to confirm my pick-up for Monday, 9am-12pm. Of course I expressed confusion and informed her of my agreement with Ivy. On the morning of the pick-up, the crew arrived at 9:30am and didn't finish until 10:30am, but not until breaking the glass top of the coffee table. Later that morning, I spoke with Hershell Litener, one of the owners, who apologized and promised to make appropriate changes in their business practices, but when I asked how he planned to make things right with me personally (i.e., discount), he indicated that was not something he believed was feasible since the furniture was picked up "on time." First of all, if the reason for the last minute date change was indeed due to a broken down truck, that is an easy problem to solve: rent a small truck for my 1-bedroom apartment's worth of furniture. Second, despite the absolutely unacceptable level of incompetency in coordination and communication, I think the least that could have been done was to offer a discount of some sort as a sincere token of apology. Except for Ivy, who was caught in the middle and tried to do what she could to fix the problem, I simply don't think the company owners (Hershell in particular) really care. Btw, I have NEVER written a negative review about any company, but I just had to take the time in this instance. If you decide to do business with Churchill, best of luck to you. read more
